Chapter 440: Chapter 439: Days of Waiting

Sky Flow Valley, days passed one after another.

Just as Doradoli Chairman had said, the guild would occasionally summon all mbers to give lectures about spatial matters. Sotis it was about deciphering spatial networks, sotis about explaining the refinent of a certain Space-type contraption, and other tis about discussing experiences related to spatial displacent, and so forth.

Among the Level 3 Sorcerers, very few could stand up front to give a talk, and those who could had been imrsed in space research for two or three hundred years.

Ivan, of course, did not go back on his word. He took the opportunity to step up and, according to Doradoli Chairman’s request, gave a good lecture, and in turn, faced so difficult challenges.

When he stood in front, a barrage of questions ca one after another, many unrelated to the lecture content, almost overwhelming him.

However, it was clear he wasn’t a pushover, answering each question in turn.

...

This also served as an explanation to Chairman Hadi; after all, Chairman Hadi had ntioned it once on the Cloud Shuttle, that with the lecture and the Chaotic Space Pearl, Ivan could sohow muddle through.

In the days that followed, Ivan stopped drawing attention to himself and did not intentionally trouble those who had troubled him.

Of course, that was only from his own point of view.

From the perspective of the other sorcerers, he was still quite conspicuous, freely entering and exiting the exploration zone, freely borrowing relevant literature, and even having the young master of the Obaba family indirectly running errands for him—

All this indicated that Ivan Marichadon was indeed a very special existence in Sky Flow Valley.

Thanks to the contribution of the Chaotic Space Pearl and the demonstration of his profound spatial knowledge at the gatherings, no one was green with envy or jumped out to accuse him of anything; therefore, Ivan’s days were quite fulfilling and uneventful.

“Ivan, don’t you have any new ideas?” Inside a two-story Round Tower, Morris once again asked the question that lay heavy on his heart.

“No, stop overthinking things.” Ivan glanced at him blandly and emphasized, “Also, what sort of title is that? It sounds so awkward.”

“The Chairman asked to assist you, so you are my boss. However, in my book, the title ‘boss’ is reserved exclusively for Big Boss Hotter, so I can only refer to you as ‘Little Boss’,” Morris insisted with conviction.

“Forget it, just stick to the original title,” Ivan rejected the idea without a second thought. If others heard this, who knows what kind of rumors would spread.

He was already noticeable enough; he may not know whether the lice were itchy, but they certainly were annoying.

“That’s a sha.”

“We are both mbers of the Five-Colored Magic Robe, equal in status. There’s nothing to be regretful about.”

“Right, in the future just let know if you’re missing any materials. I’ll go and get them for you.”

“What about the Fixed Space Pearl?”

“That, I really don’t have. They are very scarce and have already been divided up among others. When the Great Sky River opens, you can try looking there, but don’t get your hopes too high. Such fantastic items are a hot commodity inside the guild, always in demand, yet rarely seen.”

Morris had co to deliver raw materials and didn’t stay long in Ivan’s laboratory; he soon left.

He was not one to sit around in labs; wandering around was his usual routine.

Ivan paid no mind to Morris’s departure and continued thodically constructing his own Space-type energy particle pool. At this mont, he wasn’t exploring anything new; he was purely practicing, honing the spatial knowledge he commanded.

Doradoli Chairman certainly didn’t go back on his word either, granting Ivan access to the exploration zone privileges and relevant knowledge. However, there was a limit; he was granted only part of the knowledge, specifically the part that was more superficial and easier to grasp.

Regarding resources, Doradoli Chairman didn’t even ntion them, effectively granting Ivan usage rights.

Sky Flow Valley lived up to its na, with countless Space-type raw materials. Many items that would require great effort to acquire elsewhere were readily obtainable here.

With both knowledge and materials at hand, Ivan felt an itch to try his hand, choosing to practice with the energy particle pool.

He did not aim too high and started with a small energy particle pool.

Three days later, the Space-type energy particle pool was completed, and Morris, who had been absent for many days, ca uninvited to Ivan’s laboratory.

“Is it done?”

“It wasn’t difficult in itself; my sorcerer tower already had such a thing, so there was no need to build it personally, not that I couldn’t build it.” Compared to his surprise, Ivan appeared indifferent.

“You’re right, I wouldn’t need to do it myself either.” Morris paused for a mont, then adopted an expression of agreent.

“However, there should be quite a difficulty with the dium-sized energy particle pool,” Ivan continued.

“That’s true, I think so too.”

Five days later, when Morris thought it was the right ti to co over, he entered another laboratory only to find a perfectly constructed dium-sized, Space-type energy particle pool.

He was silent for several seconds, his gaze lingering on soone.

“It was just a forced effort, plus a bit of luck, I think a large energy particle pool would be quite challenging,” Ivan said nonchalantly.

“Don’t make laugh; I bet even the Great Space Energy Tower wouldn’t be a problem for you, there’s nothing you can’t do,” Morris retorted.

“That might actually stump —”

“See, that ans the large energy particle pool is no difficulty for you, no wonder the guild President says you like to hide your abilities.”

“Huh?”

Realizing he had said sothing wrong and before Ivan could question further, Morris ran off as fast as smoke could dissipate.

Ivan was speechless; why did all these Presidents think he was hiding sothing? If this went on, it could get out of hand, and he definitely didn’t want this to reach the ears of those with ulterior motives, as it could likely attract more covetous attention.

There was nothing he could do to control these things; he could only let them take their course.

During these days, Ivan was not solely imrsed in hard work; he kept an eye on information from all sides. For example, he found out quite a lot about Morris’s small group of four.

Morris himself undoubtedly ca from a major family, not only with Doradoli as the head of their school but also with another Arcane Wizard.

Tuya Hancheman, a surviving Arcane Wizard of the Hancheman family, though Tuya himself was not as valued as Morris.

Gloria and Greni’s families were slightly inferior.

Their families had both produced Arcane Wizards, and while the current strongest were only Fake Lords, their families kept a large number of arcane-level assets internal, such as arcane-level magic puppets, and they had deep friendships with other arcane families.

Ivan did not find it difficult to deduce that Gloria and Greni’s following the two n was most likely for the purpose of family alliances.

As for other information, as ti passed, more and more people gathered near Sky Flow Valley, and non-guild Sorcerers had also entered the valley, not just from the Enchanters Guild.

The outsiders were not as free as the guild mbers to move around the valley, and Ivan had few opportunities to observe them.

These people, without exception, ca for ventures into the Great Sky River, just waiting for the reopening of the Sky River.

He also heard that a few unfortunate souls had foolishly ventured near the Great Sky River, and, unluckily, were swept away by the sudden torrents stirred by the Sky River, engulfed by the vast expanse of space energy, without leaving a trace.

However, all of this had little to do with Ivan.

As the ti for the Sky River’s reopening drew closer, he soon finished constructing the large Space-type energy particle pool and began to further ponder on the construction of the Great Space Energy Tower.

The value of the Great Space Energy Tower was on par with a dium to large magic stone mine, and he was highly interested in it.
