Chapter 48—To the Ruins City Lunxia.

A fire sphere dashed towards the crazy farr; he pivoted and tried to run, but it was useless as the fireball—Gzz!—landed on his back and burned him to death as he squealed.

Thud!—his dead body fell to the ground.

Sli#47 wobbled in disappointnt. He’d given them all the sa amount, but the farr rushed to steal more. So he could only kill him.

He’d only co back to pick up Bull#1. When he and the gang went, he found that Bull#1 was missing, so he returned, but he didn’t expect to walk in on a farr trying to steal from others.

"^&^^," The farrs said with a smile.

’Ah...A thank you....Huh....’ despite not being able to understand them, he could feel it from their expressions.

He glanced around and spotted the kid who had stood in front of the crazy farr without fear, ’It’s her... bug-eating girl.’ He Wob!—bounced in front of her.

The kid glanced at him with her bright purple eyes, kneeling down while grinning.

’She’s cute...’ He mused while patting her on the head softly—Pat!—and took a one-striped crystal from his pouch—bailiff’s and gave it to her.

Despite being very skinny and unattractive, her eyes had gained his affection.

He just didn’t want her eating bugs again.

The kid took the crystal with a wide smile and seed very happy as she gave a tight hug to Sli#47. And left after a few seconds, with small tears in her eyes, she let go of him.

He wiped her eyes and said, "Take care..." Wob!—bouncing towards Bull#1 and Whoosh!—flung him into the air by holding his horn.

In the eyes of villagers, sli bounced where Thud!—Bull#1 had fallen and again Whoosh!—threw him into the air and flung him around by bouncing near him, repeatedly.

By the ti he’d left the village, the kid said, "Yes, I will... take care...."

Then in the next second, she—Thud!—knelt down in his direction.

Seeing her, everyone in the village followed, and Thud!—a farr kowtowed. Seeing him, one by one started kowtowing.

"We... thank you... Red sli," the kid yelled, and one by one they followed.

"We thank you, red sli."

"We thank you, red sli."

------

Thud!—Young sli threw Bull#1 in front of Cow#1, who lowered her head. She was ashad as she forgot him, much less heal him.

"Heal him..." Sli#47 ordered; Cow#1 nodded.

"Hhahah," Elder Sli, Mama Sli, and Little Sli laughed at Bull#1’s condition. Everyone forgot about him.

"Heal..." Cow#1 cast the spell, pointing her tail at Bull#1.

A light green magic rune circle flashed in front of her tail as green light fell on Bull#1 from it.

Within seconds, Bull#1’s injuries vanished, and he stood up looking good as new and said dubiously, "Where am I?"

"...." Cow#1 explained the situation to heal.

"We thank you, red sli..." Suddenly Sli#47 heard the roar of humans, but he couldn’t understand them, so he asked Elder Sli in doubt, "What are they saying, elder?" But sohow, he felt happy.

"Nothing...." Old Sli dismissed him playfully but internally brimd with joy, ’No wonder... You are indeed the chosen one... It seems it’s the first place you saved,’ he glanced at the village for one last ti.

Just then—Ding!—a notification flashed in Young Sli’s vision.

[ Ding! You have gained a new title—Oakfield Village Saviour {Common}! ]

[ —Oakfield village saviour {Common}—

—You have gained the goodwill of Oakfield villagers by saving them.

—Note: You have gained a wisp of faith! ]

’Faith....’ He was shocked as he was about to inquire about the faith. A new notification flashed in his vision.

[ Ding! Trait—Eternal Mastery {Mythic} has devoured the wisp of faith! ]

’What... what’s this bullshit?’ He roared internally. He knew that faith was a powerful, as it was sothing related to gods.

Everyone who reads novels, manga, and watches ani should know that faith is a high-end power related to divinity, but he gained it sohow, and it was eaten by his trait before he could feel its strength.

’Ahh... whatever....’ He sighed, expecting to get a new notification, as faith should be powerful enough to make changes in his trait.

He’d waited for a few minutes, but none...

He quickly opened his traits panel to check...

[ —Eternal Mastery {Mythic}—

—Carry 25% of masteries, non-class skills, and non-racial skills to the next loop, while locking the sa tier of masteries. ]

’No change... so the wisp of faith was wasted?’ He clenched his tiny fists—he really wanted to punch sothing.

"What’s wrong, child?" Elder Sli asked, noticing his distorted look.

"Nothing...." He dismissed it with a sigh, ’It’s gone... Let’s check if I get it next ti.’

------

Elder Sli pointed his finger on the map, "We are here. By following this route, which adventurers use, we can avoid human cities." Mama Sli, Little Sli, Cow#1, and Bull#1 also peeked in.

The map had the routes of roads, quite detailed.

’Kinda like... Highways,’ Young Sli mused, glancing at the map.

"Why don’t humans live near them?" Little sli asked dubiously, tilting his body.

"Because demons live nearby," Elder slis said, pointing to a tiger mark on the map near the route.

"Would they help us?" Cow#1 asked, expecting fellow demons to help them.

"No. Why would they?" Elder Sli said flatly.

’Yeah... why would,’ Sli#47 clicked his tongue in annoyance.

’It doesn’t matter...I will get stronger and kill humans...’ Bull#1 mused, feeling confident.

"We’re walking money bags to them... If strong adventurers show up, those demons die first." Elder Sli answered, glancing at the troubled gang.

"So... they are weak," Sli#47 understood.

"Yes, these demons are troubleso to deal with for normal adventurers, so people avoid them, but not for powerful people," Old Sli replied, as the gang was filled with disappointnt.

’Afraid of powerful... so they wouldn’t help us... since we can attract them,’ Young Sli nodded.

"So... only option is to get to Ruins City Lunxia..." He said plainly, he’d expected the second option to work as well, but there wasn’t any powerful demon to get backing.

’No wonder humans are exploiting slis... If there were powerful demons... just for being the sa demon kin, slis would have been freed,’ He mused, feeling powerless.

"Let’s move. We don’t have much ti," Elder Sli said, as everyone prepared.

------

In the concrete road between long trees, Sli#47 sat on Bull#1 as he Thud!—Thud! ran fast.

He glanced around at the surroundings. The long green trees were all around.

’It feels like a road carved between jungle...’ He mused, breathing fresh air from the surroundings. The trees were present from the ti he’d left Oakfield village.

But concrete roads were built all around, which helped people to travel between the places.
