'So tasty,' Goblin Baby mused, biting into the warm red at.
Within a few days, he had grown a few teeth.
'It's just raw at… but it's been more than 150 loops since I tasted food,' he thought, chewing slowly.
"Is the at gone bad?" the Goblin Lord muttered, wiping tears from Goblin Baby's eyes.
He took a sniff of the at and muttered, "It's fine."
He tilted his head, holding his chin. "Ah… it must not be tasty," he said with a grin.
He picked up another lump of at from the leaf baggage beside him.
"Fireball."
Flas rose from his palm.
He held the at over the fire, slowly cooking it as a rich aroma rose.
The sll made Goblin Baby's mouth water. He glanced at the cooking food with a light grin, licking his lips.
Within monts, the at was cooked.
The Goblin Lord picked up a few different-colored leaves, smashed them into powder with his bare hands, and sprinkled them over the at.
He brought the at to Goblin Baby's mouth, who took small bites from it.
Goblin Baby devoured the entire at, munching with half-closed eyes.
"So tasty… so tasty," he muttered while eating.
It felt heavenly.
After eating, he glanced at the huge piece of at remaining.
He wanted to swallow that as well, but his stomach protested, swelling like a balloon.
"Next ti—dinner will be soon," the Goblin Lord said, picking up the remaining at.
He glanced at Goblin Baby's swollen stomach and grinned. "Good. Eat food like that daily, you'll grow strong."
He patted his biceps.
With his stomach finally full, Goblin Baby was hit with drowsiness. He closed his eyes, letting sleep take over.
Days slipped by.
Goblin Baby opened his eyes on a small bed made from wood, with a mattress woven from leaves.
He glanced around, noticing the house made of wooden pillars.
"Not bad," he muttered. 'Power makes work easy.'
In just a few days, goblins—using their enormous strength—built wooden houses by breaking trees apart.
More than 400 wooden houses were built atop the green hill, enough to house over 1,000 goblins.
The caves beneath were closed with huge rocks, covering them up, and the tunnels they built were connected to the wooden houses, serving as secret escape routes.
In the one and only two-story wooden building at the center of the goblin village—
The Goblin Lord sat upon a wooden chair as the old goblin stood in front of him.
"Lord, everything's fine now. We only lack baby-creating toys. Food, water, shelter—everything is at our hands," the old goblin reported seriously.
The Goblin Lord held his chin, muttering, "We only need to make babies."
"Yes, Lord," the elder goblin nodded, then asked, "And why did you kill that beautiful adventurer toy and abandon the few more while escaping?"
"Elder, why are you asking such idiotic matters?" the Goblin Lord asked playfully. "Don't you know why I have taken such decisions?"
The elder goblin sighed, recalling the matter from before departing.
---
Goblin Lord glanced at the won in ragged tunics.
At a glance, there were more than twenty won chained to the walls with handcuffs and leg chains.
Old Goblin asked, pointing toward the chained won, "Lord, how about them? Should we take them as well?"
"No," The Goblin Lord shook his head. "They require food, and they would make things worse by slowing us down."
Elder Goblin glanced at the won one last ti and asked coldly, "Should we kill them?"
Goblin Lord grinned. "Let's leave them alive. If soone finds them, more adventurers will co to kill us."
Both goblins grinned—cruelly, cunningly—glaring at the shivering won.
A few won shivered with fear as Old Goblin walked toward them, while others remained blank, eyes dim.
Crack! Crack!
Elder Goblin shattered the chains with his wrinkled palms.
In the common human tongue, he said, "You are free. Now escape."
Back to the present—
"And she's strong?" Old Goblin asked, licking his lips as the face of the beautiful mother of Goblin Baby flashed in his mory.
"Yes. She could kill us… I cannot keep an eye on her always," Goblin Lord nodded, then ordered sternly, "Elder, keep an eye on Gabu."
He could tell Gabu hadn't let go of his hatred.
Old Goblin replied, "I'll make sure to send him on the hunt every ti. And also, I'll tell them to keep an eye out...to find any new beautiful toys."
"Yes," Goblin Lord nodded.
"Soon our mbers will be hit by carnal impulse," he sighed bitterly. "Creation God made our race lowly and pathetic."
Elder Goblin sighed, nodding with tired eyes. "Even if we want to focus just on eating and surviving, we cannot overco carnal impulse...which attacks us once every fifteen days."
"Go. We don't have much ti," the Goblin Lord barked sharply. "Make sure to find at least so toys."
"Lord, you'll have to join the hunt personally," Old Goblin said, trembling. "So goblins are already hit with it."
"What?" Goblin Lord yelled, standing up. "Don't you know how dangerous it is…"
"I'll try to find so…" he muttered, dashing out.
Whoosh!
Three years passed in the blink of an eye.
"Heavy Strike!"
A goblin—at the height of a ten-year-old human kid—yelled as he slamd a heavy white tal rod, shining with crimson aura, into the ground.
Boom!
Panting, he muttered, "Three years passed, yet I'm still at Level 31."
He opened his status, muttering, "Status."
He quickly glanced through the shimring panel in his vision.
