Nobi took a few steps back as Thomas grinned out loud, "Hhaha."
The instructor pointed his index finger forward and cast, "Gravity—ten thousand tis."1
A dark violet magic rune flashed on Thomas's palm.
The air tightened with pressure. Shockwaves spread out due to the pressure.
Both Young Sli and Nobi felt pressured as they fell to their knees.
Thud! Thud!
Nobi was better off—one leg was still standing with a slight bend, while the other leg knelt.
But Sli#47's both knees hit the ground hard.
The marble floor beneath them had no cracks, despite Sli#47's knees striking it.
The instructor fixed the crater and activated the array again, strengthening the arena.
"Move!" the instructor yelled, extending his right palm toward both slis.
"Fireball."
"Fireball."
A crimson rune flared, and two basketball-sized fireballs ford.
Whoosh!
One rushed toward the kneeling Sli#47 as the instructor hurled it at him.
'Move… damn it, I cannot move. I feel so heavy.' Young Sli felt troubled as he sensed the incoming attack; even the air turned red from the heat.
"Demonic Surge!"
His body was wrapped in black energy. He rolled left as he used a massive amount of demonic force, dodging—boom!—the fireball struck the spot where he had been a mont before.
He noticed Nobi was a little further than where she had been standing before.
She dodged as well, but she wasn't using any energy like him.
"You cannot use energy," the instructor said, glancing sharply at Young Sli.
"Very well. Use it until you get adapted to this gravity," he said after thinking for a few monts.
He then sat on the ornate, comfortable chair and pulled one luxurious blue glass bottle from thin air.
He opened the bottle lid with his teeth.
The next mont, a sweet sll spread across the entire arena.
'It's so sweet.' Young Sli sensed the delicate hint from the air. But his lips twitched as he clicked his tongue. 'I can't taste anything.'
He was yet again hit hard by the fact that he couldn't taste food. He was a big foodie, so it was a bitter punishnt for him. 'I need to get a taste-sense skill,' he planned.
"You're drinking beer?" Nobi yelled, dissatisfied. "While we're training without eating and sleeping… You're enjoying?"
Thomas grinned. "It's your training. You're doing it for strength, while I won't get anything for training you, right?" he asked. "So, I'll drink."
Nobi wanted to say that he would be paid for training them, but stopped, musing, 'I'll complain to Grandpa… then let's see. My revenge for training so tough.'
Sitting on the chair, with his left hand holding the beer bottle, he cast with his right hand, "Fireball!"
"Fireball!"
"Fireball!"
Whoosh! Whoosh!
More than ten basketball-sized fireballs dashed toward the slis.
"Demonic Surge!" Sli#47 dodged, using a burst of energy to move under the heavy gravity, and Nobi dodged as well, but without any boost skill.
Thomas's targeting skills were put to use as he hurled fireballs one by one.
Whoosh! Whoosh!
"I almost got hit," Young Sli thought as he dodged a fireball that passed inches away from his face.
'Instructor Thomas wasn't using full power, but he was taking this training seriously.' Nobi mused, glancing at the fireball that landed on the floor.
A few monts passed.
Young Sli started sweating and taking deep breaths due to the high pressure from the gravity.
"What are you wasting your ti?.... Use the technique," Thomas scolded, as both slis focused on dodging instead of using the Supre Body Forging Technique.
'What a waste of effort.' Young Sli mused, feeling grim that his few minutes of tough dodging had been wasted.
Both slis nodded and focused on running aura, mana, and demonic force—all energies within their bodies—as per the technique.
All three energies flooded through the entire body of Sli#47.
'Unlike the Mana Torrent Refinent Technique… this technique is about smashing the body with energies under our control, then healing the damaged area.' Young Sli sensed the difference.
The Mana Torrent Refinent Technique pulls foreign mana into the body, which rampages in the body, strengthening the stats, then fuses with the person's mana after getting familiar, thereby increasing level.
"Good," the instructor nodded, casting "Fireball!" again.
Boom! Bang!
While running the technique, they kept dodging the attacks one by one.
[ Ding! Supre Body Forging Technique proficiency 1! ]
[ Ding! Supre Body Forging Technique proficiency 1! ]
Ti passed as Young Sli adapted to 10,000× gravity. He started reducing Demonic Surge, since he was close to running out of demonic force and was almost adapted.
His body was covered in his Sli blood, but he didn't even blink at the pain. He glanced at his own body, surprised—he was bleeding from all over, yet it didn't feel like much.
"I'm clearly feeling pain… but it feels less," he muttered, surprised. After suffering so much, he had grown used to high-level pain.
'The Divine-level Pain Tolerance skill is at work,' he thought, feeling he'd gained sothing.
"What the heck is wrong with this kid?" Thomas muttered as he glanced at the bleeding Sli#47.
Young Sli kept going despite heavy injuries. anwhile, Nobi panted and winced in pain, despite having fewer injuries.
She bled a little—unlike the multicolored sli, who was covered in blood.
The ground beneath Sli#47 pooled with multicolored liquid.
[ Ding! You all leveled up to Level 91! ]
[ All your stats have risen to 'D-' ]
Young Sli grinned as he glanced at the notification, but Nobi and Thomas weren't calm.
They stared at him like he was so kind of psycho.
"Even that Michael kid couldn't tolerate this much pain," the instructor whispered bluntly, recalling the golden dragon's agonizing training.
Because of Young Sli's performance, the gravity spell was cut off in disbelief.
Nobi fell to the ground, exhausted, while Young Sli still stood straight.
Thomas's fireball-casting hand hung midway in the air.
"What's wrong?" Sli#47 asked, doubtful—he hadn't expected any breaks.
"Cough, cough." Thomas coughed to hide his shock. "You are injured, can't you see?" he asked.
Young Sli glanced over his body quickly. "I don't feel any difference. We can continue," he replied plainly. "I still have 60% of aura and mana, 10% of demonic force…"
Thomas's lips twitched, and his eyes widened, but he asked quickly to cover it up. "You're injured. You cannot continue like that. Can't you heal yourself?"
"Uh… I'm afraid I will run out of energy," Young Sli said, rubbing his forehead and wiping off the blood.
"No, no—use the spell. There are 23 days left. With just a few hours of training, you leveled up to 91," the instructor commanded coldly. "At this rate, you can easily get to Tier Three and still get so ti for mastering battle style."
Thomas felt Sli#47 might drop dead because he kept trying to save energy.
'Yes… still style must be learned,' Young Sli thought, feeling urgency.
This is correct and planned...Not a crazy number...
