Chapter 105—Dragonheart Twins
Sli#47 stood still and glanced around. The streets were packed with roaming demons.
’They are powerful,’ he mused, sensing strong demons in between weaker ones, their demonic force overflowing, and they were too many.
He glanced up and found not a single demon flying, despite many demons having actual wings.
A huge black barrier covered the entire city. ’Where does this barrier end?’ he thought, unable to find its boundary as the city stretched beyond his vision.
He estimated there were more than ten layers of this kind of barrier stacked over one another.
’I can’t break even one layer...’ he could sense the enormous dark elent within it.
He then noticed three bright orange suns in the blue sky. It was no longer the black sun spider.
’So good...relaxing.’ Warmth spread through him as he looked at the three large blazing suns overhead, arranged in a circular pattern.
’There are three of them... but at least they are true ones...’ The suns were almost replicas of the suns from his past life.
Everything felt real to his senses, so he wanted to enjoy the sunshine he had missed for so long.
And these suns weren’t emitting black rays like usual. They were orange—golden—like in his previous life, reminding him of Earth.
He closed his eyes, feeling their heat.
"I miss Earth," he muttered, nostalgia seeping into his voice. ’By the way... is it real or an illusion?’
"I need to see the moon at night," he whispered, his eyes a little wet.
After a few monts, he recovered.
Tap!
He tapped the white marbled floor beneath him.
’Who the heck uses smooth marble for a road?’ He was blown away by the city builder’s extravagance.
He sensed huge amounts of mana overflowing from magic glyphs inscribed into the street every ten ters.
Yellow, purple, and other kinds of beautiful trees were planted on both sides of the road.
’It’s beautiful,’ he grinned, feeling a strange sense of relief as he gazed around.
Because of his weird and interesting behavior, many demons peeked at him with interest.
Then he spotted a pair of twins—a young boy and a young girl with horns on their heads—walking toward him.
The lad had short wings on his back, while the girl didn’t. He noticed their clothing.
’Is that a uniform?’ They were clad in white trousers lined with black thread, and a white shirt bearing the sigil of a black sli.
The sli symbol was entirely embroidered with black thread, and small stars surrounded it.
Over the outfit was a slick, smooth, long green coat. Both of them wore it unbuttoned, letting the young sli see the uniform clearly.
"Tie is missing," he muttered, noticing many demons wore similar uniforms—except the coat color differed.
"Strong," he whispered. He sensed those with green coats were utterly weak, while those who wore black-gold coats were ridiculously strong.
’They can kill with a re glance,’ he thought, and used his skill to check their power.
"Appraisal."

’Too strong!’ He snapped his gaze away—he’d felt that a demon had sensed his Appraisal as it glanced around; he felt a strong demonic force in that demon.
As he looked around, the twins finally reached him.
"Hey, what’s your na? My na is Aurora Dragonheart," the young lady introduced herself, kneeling to pat him softly.
Wob!
He noticed the twins were extraordinarily beautiful, and both had crimson red hair.
"I am Tebura Dragonheart," the other twin introduced himself.
"My na?... I’m Naless," Sli#47 said quietly.
Silence!
Both twins opened their mouths wide, and so demons walking nearby stopped.
"Wait?!" Aurora yelled in disbelief. "How can you not have a na?"
"How? You are a sli—mber of the great Demon King Remora’s race," Tebura took a deep breath. "Is... is Lord Remora alive in your ti?" he asked, his voice shaking. ’I hope it’s another matter.’
Thud!
Aurora smacked her brother on the head and barked, "How can you say that? Demon King Remora will live for eternity and lead the demons to greatness."
"Wait... Lord Remora...is alive? What year is it?" Sli#47 asked in disbelief. ’Did that shadow send to the past?’
"Dead...?" Tebura muttered, taking a few steps back.
Everyone on the street stopped and turned toward the young sli.
"You... stop spreading lies..." a beautiful, mature woman in a yellow coat yelled with a scowl, but her voice was sweet.
Her twisted expression stirred many male demons, who stared at her with lovestruck eyes.
"Don’t look at her!" a young, average-looking demon girl snarled at the boy holding hands with her.
His eyes were lovestruck as he watched the beautiful woman.
Thud!
The girl smashed his head and scread, "Succubus... she’ll drain your life-force! Just looking at her and hearing her voice will make n like you crazy!"
She twisted his ear and dragged him away.
"What calendar and date did you co from?" a young, intelligent-looking demon with specs asked. He held large books in his right hand and wore a long black-gold coat over his uniform. He corrected his specs on his nose as he questioned Sli#47.
"Yeah. And what kind of calendar does your ti have?" Aurora followed up as well, recovering as she focused sharply on Sli#47.
"The year is 7159, and the calendar is the Malzura calendar," Young Sli answered, feeling everyone’s serious glances.
"It’s not the Standard calendar..." the intelligent demon muttered, clenching his books tighter.
"Whose Malzura?"
"And why did they change it from the Standard calendar?"
"...."
Whispers spread among the demons.
"Have you heard of the Standard calendar?" the specs demon asked, walking toward Sli#47 while shifting his books into his other hand.
"Standard calendar?... What’s that?" Young Sli asked, feeling doubtful.
"Wait... everyone," Tebura raised his hands, stopping them.
He glared at Sli#47 sharply and asked solemnly, "What do you know about Demon King Remora?"
Young Sli broke into a sweat as many powerful individuals fixed their eyes on him.
’One wrong word... I’m dead,’ he thought, sweating. ’I just want to complete my trials... that’s all.’
