Even flying ship clusters and circling birds had to retreat, avoiding the sudden towering pillar; optical sensors and infrared thermal imaging could not determine the colossal fire column's temperature.
Outside the fire pillar, no heat was felt; not a hint of thermal radiation emanated. Otherwise, at the fire pillar's sudden rise, scatter in the sky had no chance but perished to ash instantly.
