The aftermath of the red laser beam was literally a scar burned into the world.
As Corey stood on a broken pillar, his gaze swept back to where he had once stood in the air.
The terrain was no longer recognizable, and the wide, scorched trench stretched dozens of ters deep and several hundred ters long... Making it seem like a god had dragged a flaming blade through the earth.
The heat was so intense that even though a few seconds had passed, the warped air still emitted intense heat as it danced above the extrely deep hole.
Molten rock bubbled along the edges of the hole, and lingering hum of the shattered space and ti made Corey’s skin prickle.
’That beam wasn’t just an ordinary destructive beam with a lot of power... It was a beam with the ability to shatter both space and ti.’
’I expected it to be able to control ti because it’s a Tier 6, and Tier 6s have the ability to control Ti to a certain degree.’
’... But the ability to destroy both space and ti?... That’s an extrely dangerous ability.’
’If my teleportation wasn’t powered by my Void Energy but normal spatial energy, I would have failed to teleport.’
Corey’s gaze beca extrely solemn as the scent of scorched stone and burnt tal filled the air.
’If I was a second late...’
He didn’t complete the thought. Instead, his pure white eyes shifted upward.
Eidolon coiled above him on the broken remains of the Archive, and its three vertically stacked eyes- Red, Gold, and Blue- glowed with thick malevolent energy.
’The red eye was what released that energy beam of destruction... I wonder what the others can do.’
The mont Corey had this thought, it was like his request was granted imdiately.
The gold eye flickered, and Corey’s instincts scread at him.
The space around him rippled, then warped. There was no sound, no light, and no trace of mana... Just a subtle bend in reality.
He moved instantly, and then he stepped sideways through a ripple in the Void. His body reappeared several ters away, and the mont he did...
BOOM!
A section of space where he had just stood imploded, collapsing in on itself like crushed paper.
Corey was nearly blasted away by the shockwave of the attack as the world around the implosion shivered unnaturally.
’That was a spatial compression attack from its gold eye.’,
His Void Phoenix senses had warned him of the attack even before his Eyes of Omniscience did, and he knew that if he had not listened to his Void Phoenix instincts but his Eyes of Omniscience, he would have been a step too late because the attack manipulated ti.
His Eyes of Omniscience would have shown him the attack when it was about to arrive, but by the ti he decides to react to the attack, the attack would suddenly appear three seconds earlier than it was ant to.
’This is a surprise. I never expected it to be able to utilize the power of space and ti to this extent.’
A flicker of excitent flashed in Corey’s eyes. He took a step forward, and just he took that step, Eidolon attacked once again with its eyes.
However, it was the blue eye that glowed this ti around.
The runes on Eidolon’s coiled body suddenly released a black glow, and a deep hum erged from beneath its coiled body.
Its segnted body quivered violently, and then without warning...
Thousands of smaller versions of Eidolon burst from its body. They were all Tier 5s, and thousands of them were being released from the body of Eidolon.
As this occured, Eidolon’s body shrinked and got smaller. However, its aura as a Tier 6 was still the sa.
It had reduced by about thirty percent (30%), but its aura was still solid.
Majority of the clones of Eidolon were twice as large as Corey, and so were even smaller than Corey.
However, their numbers were extrely dense as they surged toward Corey. They were like bundled masses of blades, stitched mouths, and eyes that glowed faintly with fragnts of color.
They ca down like a living teor shower, and the sky darkened.
’How ironic that before this battle, I was thinking of how good it would be if I had a cloning skill...’
’But here I am, fighting a monster with the ability to create countless clones of itself just so minutes after I said that.’
Corey thought as he landed on a crumbled ledge. He exhaled, and then he raised his hand.
Miasmic Wind
He used Miasmic Wind once again, but this ti, he didn’t just release the skill.
He amplified it.
He wove in Poison Manipulation, Fog Manipulation, and Arcane Elental Runeweaving into the Miasmic Wind that was being emitted from his body.
His domain expanded.
The wind howled.
Fog churned.
And then it began... The storm.
A spiraling typhoon of green-black poison erupted around him, and tendrils of fog weaved like hunting snakes towards the clones of Eidolon.
Due to the fog which disrupted their vision, the clones beca extrely disoriented and more chaotic.
The fog also made it easier for the various sort of poisons to seep into their bodies.
In a matter of seconds, every clone that entered the fog of poisonous typhoon began to corrode instantly as Corey used his strongest poisons and a lot of his poisonous mana to increase the intensity of his poisons.
So resisted longer. So tried to attack the wind, but they just ended up killing other clones. So self-destructed in an attempt to destroy Corey’s spell. While the lucky ones shrieked and kept charging even as their limbs fell apart.
To Corey’s slight surprise, even the clones possessed regenerative abilities.
However, he wasn’t done.
He stretched out his hand, and a small fireball shot out from his palm towards the swirling tornado.
The instant the fireball touched the tornado, it suddenly exploded, and the cyclone beca a typhoon of flas.
Eidolon suddenly released an extrely loud screech, and every single arm-like tendril on its body shot at Corey.
That was not all, every single body part of the clones flew towards one another.
In less than five seconds, a mismatched clone that was larger than the others was being created from the countless body parts.
He stretched out his hand, and then he turned his hand like he was turning a doorknob.
