"Do you know what you’ve done?"
"I killed a God’s Incarnate?"
The gods were taken aback by Corey’s reply to the question of the Martial God.
Technically, Corey was right with his answer, but everybody knew that he was being sarcastic to the Martial God, and such a thing was rarely seen.
The Martial God was one of the high ranking gods in the universe, and he was also a feared God.
Very few dared to disrespect him, and those who do rarely live a minute longer unscathed.
However, contrary to what so of the gods expected, the Martial God did not attack or beco furious at Corey.
He rely smiled at him.
"Do you know why you’re not dead or why you still have your arms and legs?" He said, without any hint of killing intent, coldness, or anger, once again surprising the gods.
Corey raised a brow. "Please, enlighten ."
The Martial God chuckled softly. "It’s because I like you."
Corey raised a brow with an amused expression, but he didn’t say anything. He waited for the Martial God to continue speaking.
"Apart from your physique which is literally one of the best physiques I’ve ever seen for Martial Arts, your techniques are very good."
"I saw the way you moved, the way your controlled your strength and also brought out the maximum power in your body with little movent."
"It’s very good, and very few Martial Arts are able to accomplish what you’ve accomplished."
"And your breathing too. Your breathing is perfect. Your breathing is so in tune in nature, and none would be able to hear you breathe if the world was silent."
"You’re a perfect Martial Artist, and I want you to be my Legacy Disciple."
"If you beco my Legacy Disciple, you can keep your weapon and I’ll make sure to protect you from these guys over here. You might not know, but I’m very strong."
Corey’s brows were instantly raised the mont he heard this, and the other gods also looked at the Martial God with shock.
Gods could take in disciples, and gods could take in Legacy Disciples.
These were disciples who would take the core skills of the God and also the path the God had taken.
It was a very important event to the gods, because a Legacy Disciple had the potential to reach or even surpass the level of his or her master.
The Martial God was one of the few gods who had very few Legacy Disciples throughout his life.
Three.
That was how many Legacy Disciples the Martial God had in his long years of living, and these three individuals were already extrely powerful gods.
The Sword God was one of them!
Besides the fact that the Martial God had very few Legacy Disciples, another reason why the gods were shocked at the Martial God’s words was that the Martial God had never taken in a mortal Legacy Disciple.
All his Legacy Disciples were already Mystic Beings when the Martial God chose them, and there was a very good reason why the Martial God and many other gods did not choose Mortals as their Legacy Disciples.
And that’s because many mortals, despite their talent, would not be able to go far in the Mystic Realm.
There are still other reasons, but the main reason is that Mortals were just not ready to walk the path of power.
99% of mortals had no idea about how long, vast, and incomprehensible the path of power is. And many mortals who knew, eventually chose to give up because it seed like there was no end to it.
The Gods knew this, and it was why they were shocked that the Martial God who knew this the most wanted Corey to be his legacy disciple.
"Hey, old man. What do you think you’re doing choosing the boy as your Legacy Disciple? He’s just a mortal." The Ice Goddess looked at the Martial God with a deep frown and a dark gaze, and the Martial God rely chuckled softly.
"He’s very talented in Martial Arts."
The Ice Goddess’ lips twitched, and she was about to speak, but the Storm God beat her to it.
"I agree with her, Martial God. The boy is just a mortal. He might be talented and he might have killed the incarnation of that stubborn old fool, that’s mainly due to his weapon. Are you not being too rash in your decision to choose him as your Legacy Disciple?"
The Martial God nonchalantly shrugged. "Who knows. Only ti will tell."
The Storm God frowned, then he looked at Corey.
"Boy."
Corey looked at him with a calm expression.
"Before the Martial God offered you the opportunity to be his Legacy Disciple, we either wanted to kidnap you or kill you and take that weapon from your hand. But due to his kindness, we’ve decided to give you an opportunity to live."
Corey calmly raised a brow with a slightly surprised expression.
"Just like the Martial God, I’m willing to offer you the opportunity to be my Legacy Disciple. I can sense that you have a high affinity for the elents that make up the storm, especially the Lightning Elent. My path will be a good fit for you."
The remaining gods looked at the Storm God in disbelief.
"Hey, who said you could decide for us. We didn’t-"
"Your aura and mana is extrely poisonous, and I can sense that you have a poison in you that has the potential to even kill in the future. So, I’m also going to give you the offer to be my Legacy Disciple, my poison path fits you quiet well."
"Heyyy Bitchhhhh!!!!"
The Serpent Goddess cut off the Ice Goddess and offered Corey the opportunity to be her Legacy Disciple, causing the Ice Goddess to glare and curse at her.
Without hesitation, she quickly offered Corey the sa thing.
"Damn it! You’re also a good fit for the Ice path. You’re as cold as ice, you have very good control of your emotions, and your affinity with the Ice Elent is not bad. You can also be my Legacy Disciple."
And to Corey’s surprise, the other gods also offered him the opportunity to be their Legacy Disciple, causing more notifications to pop up in front of him.
