After entering his room in the house he built years ago, Corey sat on one of the chairs in his room and exhaled softly.
His eyes beca pure white, and he looked in the direction of his stunned sister outside the building.
He saw muttering words of disbelief and confusion, and he could not help but smile.
He watched her for a minute, and then he deactivated his Eyes of Omniscience and his gaze beca solemn.
"Nina. I’m ready. Take to the Paragon Ancestor."
{Alright.}
Nina replied a few monts later, and then a pop echoed only in the room and not beyond it.
A tiny black dot appeared on the wall directly facing Corey, and the black dot began to increase until it beca a swirling portal.
{It’s stabilized. You can go in.}
Corey stood without saying a word, and then he entered the portal with a calm expression.
A second later, the portal closed with a pop.
Before entering the portal, Corey thought he was going to experience extre discomfort because he believed that the teleportation to the Paragon Ancestor would take a long ti and the distance would be imasurable.
But to Corey’s surprise, it was like opening a door and stepping into a new environnt without any sense dissonance.
Unlike the ti with the Prince of the Letherions- Prince Zakar’el Eron’Lethe- it hardly felt like teleportation at all.
Apart from this, another thing that stunned Corey was his surrounding.
He had no idea where he might appear and what his environnt would look like, but he never expected to appear in a bedroom.
’No. It’s not a bedroom but a ga room?’
Corey’s eyes were truly wide with disbelief and confusion as he looked around.
Because of the king-sized bed that was at the center of the room, he thought it was a bedroom, but when he saw the monitors hanging on the walls, the arcade gas in several parts of the room, and the familiar face of the Paragon sitting in front of a large screen with headphones on his head and a gapad in his hands... Corey was truly stunned.
"What the hell?" He could not stop himself from exclaiming out loud.
The Paragon Ancestor raised a finger. "Hold on. I’m about to win. I’m finally about to beat this woman in this damned ga."
Corey was baffled, and then he looked at the screen in front of the Paragon Ancestor. His expression beca even more strange.
"Football?" Corey exclaid in extre confusion once again, and the Paragon Ancestor stood and shouted.
"Goal!!!!! Take that woman! I finally- Wait! Wait! Wait! What do you an it’s offside?! It’s a dying minute goal for heaven’s sake!"
Corey stared at the Paragon Ancestor with a stunned and blank expression, not understanding what was going on.
He ca here because of the Infinity Crystals and also because he wanted to see if the Paragon Ancestor could tell him anything that would help him with what he wants to do.
Never in his lifeti did he expect to see the Ancestor of one of the strongest races in existence to be playing soccer.
"What the hell is going on?" Corey said with a completely lost expression.
"Damn it! This ga would be the end of ! How the hell is that an offside?! She’s cheating! She’s definitely cheating! And we both agreed not to use our powers!"
The Paragon Ancestor gripped his gapad tightly, and Corey strangely expected to see the Paragon Ancestor throw his gapad on the ground or to the wall in anger because his current expression and behaviour was strangely... human?
Fortunately for the gapad, the Paragon Ancestor controlled his anger by breathing in and out heavily, and then he gently placed the gapad on the table in front of him.
He turned and looked at Corey. Corey looked at him, and a seemingly long uncomfortable and tense silence perated the atmosphere.
"Tsk."
The Paragon Ancestor clicked his tongue, and then he scratched his scalp with a frustrated expression.
"And this is why I don’t like playing this ga at tis. See, I’ve lost all the respect and reverence this kid had in ."
Corey’s expression beca strange. "... I... I have a lot of questions."
The Paragon Ancestor snapped his fingers, and two comfortable chairs appeared behind Corey and the Paragon Ancestor.
The Paragon Ancestor sat with a slight frown.
"Of course you do. Ask whatever you want, but don’t take too much ti."
Corey imdiately gestured at everything in the room. "What is all this? Why are you playing gas? And video gas? Aren’t you like an all-powerful being? Don’t you have duties to attend to?"
The Paragon Ancestor chuckled softly with his headphones still on his head. "You sound like my wife."
Corey’s lips twitched, and he was beginning to wonder if he was sitting before a fake Paragon Ancestor.
Before Corey could speak, the Paragon Ancestor spoke while gesturing to the screens and arcade gas in the room.
"When you reach the realm I’ve reached, where ti has no aning to you and there’s no longer any path forward when it cos to power... One of the things you’ll face is boredom and indifference."
"And I can tell you that those two things are very dangerous to beings like us. That’s why you have beings like the Supre Ancestor who knows nothing but war, death, and conquest."
"And that’s why there are many beings in my realm that go to a nigh-eternal slumber. All because they have nothing more to do. All they did throughout their lives was to progress on the path of power, and once that is no longer, they can start looking for other ans to while away their ti... Unfortunately, many of them either go to sleep or perform evil deeds."
The Paragon Ancestor paused for a mont as a reminiscent light flashed in his eyes.
"I would have been the sa, but my wives researched this ga called soccer, and they recreated it into sothing that always keeps interested and not bored."
"And well... I also get pissed off so many tis because of it, so it’s both a double edged sword I guess."
