At the very top of a mountain in a secluded and barren land of New Earth, Corey sat with his legs crossed and his eyes closed.
Despite the surroundings of the mountain, the peak of the mountain was one of utmost beauty.
A garden with an extrely clear lake could be seen at the center. Insects and harmless animals like bunnies, hamsters, and squirrels moved about, and there were even small sized trees with fruits hanging from the branches in this serene garden.
Silver and erald motes of light could be seen all around the garden, and even the wind was extrely pure and gentle despite the harsh winds that surrounded the mountain itself.
And in a corner of the peak of the mountain was a finely house that was made out of stone and wood.

The sound of footsteps drifted into Corey’s ears, disrupting his ditation.
His eyes slowly opened, and a flash of black lightning was released from the corner of his eyes.
He looked at the source of the footsteps, and then a light smile could be seen on his lips.
"Anna."
Standing a few ters away from him was Anna with a cute little bunny in her arms. She was more mature than before, and the exhaustion and pain that could be seen in her eyes in the past was no more.
In these past two years, Corey had fully healed her soul and even strengthened it a little bit.
Aside from stealing the Infinity Crystals, gathering so materials that would be necessary for his upcoming ascension, and obtaining more knowledge.
One of the main reasons it had taken Corey two years to ascend is because of Anna.
He didn’t want to rush it or ascend so quickly since he genuinely wanted to spend ti with her, and she also wanted to spend ti with him.
Although Anna’s condition was a lot better, her expression was one of concern and worry as she looked at Corey.
"Are you really going to do it? You know that you’re already extrely powerful, right? I don’t think there’s any New Earthling and even Outsider on New Earth that can defeat you."
Corey chuckled softly when he heard this, and then he looked at his hands. There was no difference in them compared to two years ago, but the power he could unleash through his hands was greater than what he could two years ago.
"I know that I don’t have to. I know that I can choose to take the normal path and that I’ll always be stronger than many others in our universe. I also know that attaining godhood is not a pipe dream for ."
He shifted his gaze back at Anna.
"But from the mont I beca a Paragon, I could not settle for less. I’ve seen what happened to a Paragon who’s a Tier 8. I would always be hated and hunted by the Supres. Like I told you, this universe is under the control of their ancestor, and there’s no telling what he might do to because I’m a Paragon."
"I’m sure that it’s because I’ve never left New Earth I’ve not been targeted by the Supres."
Corey clenched his fists. "If I slack off, I wouldn’t know when I’d die..."
He paused, and then he looked at Anna. "Besides... I don’t want to ever experience what I experienced on that night again. That feeling of powerlessness. I never want to watch my loved ones die before my eyes while not being able to do anything."
Anna’s expression beca complicated, and then she sighed.
"I know. I have that feeling too... It just feels like you’re taking it too far this ti around. My dragon instincts keep on telling that sobody big is about to happen, and it’s related to you... I’m worried I might never see you again."
Anna looked at the bunny in her arms with a complicated expression that was mostly filled with worry and sadness.

Corey approached her and patted her head with a light smile.
"That won’t happen. I gave you that void ring for a reason."
Corey gestured at the grey crystal ring on Anna’s ring finger.
Anna looked at it with a light smile. "Hehehe. It looks like a wedding ring. Don’t tell you secretly have such thoughts toward , Corey?"
Corey’s lips twitched, and then he flicked her forehead.
"Ow!"
"Keep on saying nonsense and I’ll give you a harder flick. Who told you to wear it on your ring finger? Any other finger would have been fine."
Anna rubbed her forehead while glaring at Corey. "I did it so that most n would think I’m married. If they see the ring, many of them would leave ."
Corey tilted his head slightly. "Has any man approached you recently?"
Anna raised her chin proudly. "Of course. I’m a beauty. Which man would not want to approach ?"
Corey’s left eye twitched repeatedly, and he had the urge to say so many things but he wisely chose to keep quiet.
’You wore the void ring on your ring finger to keep n away from you. But now you’re proud and happy that n approach you? What the hell is wrong with you, Anna?’
Corey wisely shook his head while remaining silent, and then he walked to the lake.
Anna followed him.
"What of Pala? Have you sent her a ssage to co?" Corey asked while staring at the lake with a slightly distant gaze.
"She’s coming." Anna glanced at Corey with the corner of her eye. "By the way, why don’t you start dating Pala since you don’t want to date Rosa?"
"Not happening." Corey replied indifferently.
Anna released a frustrated sigh. "You know that you’re going to die single, right? And you’re also going to die a virgin."
Corey glanced at Anna with raised brows, and without saying anything, he shook his head and began approaching the house on the mountain peak.
"I’m going to my room."
Anna clicked her tongue in disappointnt and frustration. "Can’t believe my older brother is still a virgin despite his looks."
"... I’m not a virgin you idiot." Corey said while closing the door to the house.
anwhile, Anna stood frozen in shock and disbelief, wondering if she had heard wrong.
