After Corey received Anna’s beating without a single external complaint but lots of internal complaints for several minutes, Anna finally stopped while breathing heavily.
For her who was weak because of her soul, beating Corey even without using her full strength was exhausting for her.
Corey looked at Anna as she panted, and he could not help but roll his eyes.
"Are you satisfied now?"
Anna looked at him with a pout. "No. You didn’t scream in pain."
Corey’s lips twitched. "Should you want your brother who you begged for and asked to give you strength, to be screaming in pain?"
Anna’s cheeks flushed red in embarrassnt, and she had the urge to beat Corey again but she didn’t just have the strength to do so.
"Damn it. Why am I so weak? I’d have given you another good beating."
Corey shook his head with a light smile, and then he placed his hand on her back and used Dream Healing on her.
The fatigue she felt reduced considerably.
Anna clicked her tongue when she felt the changes in her body, and then she looked at Corey.
She observed his appearance from the crown hovering above his head to the sole of his feet.
"By the way, I’ve been aning to ask. What happened to you? You look way different from before and you’re also so strong now. I thought you got a useless talent and was weak?"
Corey flicked her forehead once again, and Anna held it while glaring at him.
"That hurts!"
"Then stop insulting your older brother. Show so respect."
Anna pouted but didn’t say anything. She kept on rubbing her forehead while mumbling that her brother no longer loves her or treats her delicately.
Corey smiled wryly at Anna’s words, and then he snapped his fingers.
Two sofas appeared in front of them, and he gestured at them.
"Seat. I’m sure it must be stressful standing in your current condition."
Anna scoffed, but she didn’t waste ti sitting on a sofa. Corey smiled, and then he also sat on the sofa.
As he sat, he looked at Rosa and snapped his fingers. Another sofa appeared in front of her, and he gestured to it with a smile.
"You too can seat it you want to." He said.
Rosa smiled back at him. "Thank you."
Anna had a wide smile when she saw this, and she gave Corey a thumbs up.
"See. That’s how you behave like a gentleman. You’re learning."
Corey’s lips twitched repeatedly. "And what do you know about the matters of adult relationships? You’re still a small girl with no experience."
Anna’s smile widened, and she placed her hands on her hips while looking at Corey with pride and confidence.
"I know a lot. Tessa has told and taught many things about life and relationships. She’s wayyyyyy older than you and she has more experience, which ans you should learn from since she has taught a lot."
This ti around, Corey’s lips and right eye twitched repeatedly when he heard his, and he wondered if he would eventually develop a problem with twitching since it had been happening to him ever since he woke up Anna.
"I didn’t know you and Tessa were so close." Corey raised his brows with a genuinely surprised expression since he didn’t actually expect it.
Anna shrugged with a tinge of pride. "Well, we were not close at first. But after so ti, she grew fond of because of my oh so wonderful charm, and then she began protecting from the Pope at so point. If not for her help, I would have died a long ti ago."
Corey beca even more surprised, and then he beca curious and suspicious.
"Do you know her identity? Her story?"
Anna nodded. "I know so of it. She was once a true god of our universe, but I don’t want to talk about that for now. Tell your story. I want to know what you’ve been through to beco this powerful and well... handso."
Corey remained silent for a few seconds, and this was becaude he was stunned. He did not expect that a god of their universe was in his sister’s soul.
And he also did not expect that the person he had threatened and battled in the past was once a god.
’If that’s true, then I have a lot of questions for her. Maybe she’ll know about the God of Assassins... my past life.’
’And if that’s true, then Anna is very lucky to still be alive. I can’t imagine her having the ability to fight against the soul of a god, even though it’s severely weakened.’
Corey had several thoughts after these, but he pushed them to his Stars of Consciousness and then began telling Anna about his life after she was kidnapped.
"After I failed to save you from the Pope, I was placed on the wanted list of the Temple of Flas and I could not use the Evolution Center where I was because it the region of the Temple of Flas. I had to leave, and when I was leaving, I was kidnapped by so bastards and sent to a place called the Underworld."
"It was in that place, I... experienced a lot of things."
Anna’s eyes brightened with interest and excitent. "What kind of a place is the Underworld? I heard of it from Tessa, but she didn’t tell a lot. Whenever we switch, I don’t always know what’s happening unless she allows to see through her eyes or tells what’s going on."
Corey gave a light smile at her excitent. "The Underworld is a terrible and an extrely dangerous place with little to no laws. It was..."
For the first ti in a very long ti, Corey spoke without a single bit of worry in his heart and with a bright smile and bright eyes.
The sa was for Anna, and little by little, the scars in her heart and soul were slowly being healed as she conversed with her brother.
At the center of a garden created by Corey, the brother and sister conversed with the happiest expressions they had ever had since the apocalypse began.
