Corey thought he heard wrong.

No.

He must have definitely heard wrong. Because there was no way what he was hearing was true in any way or form.

"Of all the lies you could co up with, you’re telling that? I’m disappointed in you, Pope Arzhel."

Corey said coldly, and Pope Arzhel slamd the lid of the coffin with so much force that the coffin trembled.

"I’m not lying! Tessa is your sister! And your sister is Tessa. Fucking believe you bast- DAMN-!"

Pope Arzhel’s screams were cut off as he was forced into another nightmare, and Corey was frozen on the spot, unable to move for an entire minute.

He was constantly telling himself that the Pope was lying, that he was just trying to deceive him.

But he knew.

He knew the truth from the mont the Pope answered him the second ti.

The Pope was saying the truth. He was not lying.

His Eyes of Truth and Judgent showed a green hue covering the Pope when he spoke, and a green light ant that the Pope was telling the truth.

And unless the Pope had a treasure, skill or power to deceive his Eyes of Truth and Judgent, his sister had been right in front of him the entire ti.

Corey shifted his gaze to Tessa who was in a desperate fight against Pala.

From the mont he stopped holding back and unleashed his aura for everybody to see, and from the mont he began toying with the Pope like he was a child before him, to the mont he placed the Pope in the coffin till the mont the Pope began begging for his life, Tessa had tried to leave Pala so that she could save the man.

However, Pala did not allow her to bypass her no matter what, and it was one of the reasons why Pala had been having trouble with Tessa.

Because of her desperation, Tessa was taking risks that placed not only Pala, but Tessa herself, in danger.

"No. That can’t be. There’s no way she’s my sister."

Corey shook his head in denial the more he observed her.

There was nothing about her appearance or aura that said it was his sister. If there was even a semblance of similarity, he would have known from the first ti he saw.

However, his mind went back to the green hue his Eyes of Truth and Judgent showed him on the Pope, and a sense of unease gnawed at his mind.

His eyes went to the swords Tessa was holding, her horns, her aura, her proficiency with the sword, her natural talent in combat, and her telekinesis.

He suddenly recalled a conversation he had with his sister.

----

"Nope. I’ll rub it on your face very well. When everybody’s wishes were given, I got a legacy called Successor Of The Second Demon Queen. I also got two swords and I got three talents. I called the two swords ’Murasa’ like in Akam* ga k*ll and the other one I called it Princess, cause I’m going to be a princeesss! As for my three talents, one is called Natural Talent in Swords, Natural Talent in Combat and Natural Talent in Psychokinesis, I can send people and monsters flying just with my mind and I’m currently level 45. Aren’t I aweso? Hmm. Tell I’m aweso Onii-chan."

-----

Corey’s pupils constricted into pinholes the mont he recalled his sister’s words.

He began to see the similarities between Tessa and his sister’s powers, and a chill crept across his spine.

"Anna?"

Corey trembled and froze while staring at Anna with wide eyes. His mind stopped working for a mont despite having so many Stars of Consciousness.

At this mont, Corey was at his most vulnerable, and if anybody tried to attack him at this mont, they would succeed.

However, fortunately for him, none attacked him.

The Pope’s plea for rcy appeared once again, but it was like muted background noise to Corey. He heard nothing, and his attention and gaze was completely on Tessa.

He didn’t know it, but he had begun taking steps toward Tessa and Pala. His mind was still shaken, and everything seed to slow down in Corey’s eyes.

He saw how anxious Tessa was, the sweat and blood on her face, the minute changes in her body, the changes in her eyes.

He saw how she dodged Pala’s attacks, while unleashing counterattacks.

When Pala landed a punch on her face which was followed by a cut on her body through her Genesis Armant, Destroyer .

He saw as Tessa fell and tumbled on the ground, and subconsciously, his pace began to increase when he saw Tessa struggling to get up.

Pala landed in front of her, and when Corey saw Pala raise her spear so as to stab and kill Tessa, his awareness returned, and he shouted.

"NO!"

The mont he roared, the entire world trembled and Corey flapped his void wings.

The mont he flapped his void wings, he vanished, and at that exact mont, he reappeared directly in front of Pala who was about to stab Tessa.

He quickly grabbed the spear, and because Pala did not use her full power, he was able to stop her in ti.

Pala was startled when she saw Corey appear in front of her.

"Corey? What the hell are you doing?"

Corey looked at her, and then he looked at Tessa.

The more he looked at her, the more her face was slowly resembling Anna’s.

He wanted to speak, but for so reason, he found it difficult, and Pala and Tessa had strange expressions when they saw how Corey was silent.

"Damn it, Corey. You better give a damn good explanation why you stopped from killing her. In case you’ve forgotten, she’s the enemy."

Corey’s lips quivered, and then he licked his lips in anxiousness.

"She’s my sister."

"Huh?" Pala thought she heard wrong. "She’s your what?"

Corey ignored her and let go of her spear.

"Anna... Is it truly you?"

Tessa had a strange expression on her face, and just as she was about to speak, the expressions of Tessa and Pala drastically changed.

PUCHI!

A red dagger pierced through Corey’s throat, and then a man wearing a clown’s mask appeared close to Corey’s left ear and whispered.

"Tsk tsk tsk, Corey. You disappoint ."
