[Coffin of a Thousand Ends- A portable spatial coffin that traps enemies inside a nightmare of their own deaths until their soul shatters.]

----

The tiny coffin in Corey’s hand was one of the rewards he received for killing Death in the system trial.

Since Corey knew about the Pope’s ntal resilience, he hoped that the Coffin of a Thousand Ends would be able to make the Pope give him the location of his sister, or at worst, weaken his ntal defenses to the point that he would be able to use Cognitum Erasure on him.

The tiny coffin beca bigger, and then it beca big enough for the Pope’s body.

The coffin was dirty brown in color with dry patches of blood on several parts of the body. There were runes and strange carvings on the coffin, and the Pope with all his experience did not understand majority of the carvings and runes.

Pope Arzhel frowned deeply when he saw the coffin, and a deep feeling of unease crept up on him.

He did not know what the coffin was, but what he did know was that for Corey to bring it out, it ant that he believed the coffin would be able to force out the answers he wanted from him.

’This coffin has no grade. It’s not using the mortal grading system or the Immortal grading system. What is it? Is it an otherworldly item? An item that was created outside our universe?’

Despite the Pope’s thoughts and questions, Corey indifferently used his telekinesis to carry the Pope and put him in the coffin.

The Pope stared at him, but Corey did not say a single thing. He used his telekinesis to place the lid back on the coffin, and as he did that, he took one last glance at the Pope.

"Not even a word before you torture ?"

Corey indifferently raised a brow, but he didn’t say anything.

The coffin closed shut, and then Corey looked at the Coffin of a Thousand Ends for a mont before he willed for the coffin to begin torturing the Pope.

The Coffin of a Thousand Ends did not require Corey to use his mana, spiritual energy, ntal energy, or soul energy to activate it or keep it active.

What the Coffin of a Thousand Ends used was the mana of the world, and the soul energy of the person inside the coffin.

The Coffin of a Thousand Ends was an artifact that one could call evil because of what he did.

It showed the unfortunate victim countless ways they could die, and each death the victim passes through feels real to the individual and they would feel every single bit of pain they felt during the death.

It was similar to the first Tribulation of Hell Corey survived.

Aside from the fact that the Coffin of a Thousand Ends would show the victim countless ways they could die, the Coffin of a Thousand Ends also used the soul energy to power this process.

So, each death ant the person’s soul energy was consud, and the person would feel weaker and more vulnerable to every nightmare and death they passed through.

And what was worse about the Coffin of a Thousand Ends was that it showed one the countless ways one could die.

It could be as brutal as an axe splitting one’s skull, or it could be as simple as one slipping because of a banana skin.

There were countless ways one could die, and the Coffin of a Thousand Ends showed them all. It picked the ones it knew would break the minds of the victim while using their soul energy as the fuel.

It was exceedingly cruel, and when the groans of the Pope began, Corey was not truly surprised.

Just relieved that the coffin was able to get pass the Pope’s ntal resilience.

So minutes later, the Pope’s groans turned to screams, and then later on, the Pope began to hit the coffin with full force.

"Stop! Stop! Stop!"

"Please stop!"

However, Corey did not stop.

Not only because he enjoyed hearing the Pope’s screams, but because he could see that the Pope was not truly at his wit’s end.

Through his Eyes of Truth and Soul Perception, he could see that the Pope’s soul was still strong, and his ntal resilience was still sturdy, although weaker, but sturdy.

The Pope was just screaming and begging so that he would remove the lid since he already knew how dangerous the coffin was.

Deep in his heart, the Pope was terrified of the coffin, because he had never seen or heard of any artifact that was as terrifying as the Coffin of a Thousand Ends.

"I said stop! I’ll tell you everything! I’ll tell you where she is! I’ll-"

The Pope’s screams were abruptly cut off as he was plunged into another nightmare, and Corey curiously used his Eyes of Omniscience to see what was going on in the coffin.

When he saw that there was a black mist swirling in the coffin, he wanted to peer deeper into the black mist out of curiosity, but his instincts warned him not to, and he stopped.

anwhile, the battle that had been occuring around him was still going on.

The two royal Silver Elves, Thalos and Syrelle were still fighting, but Corey knew that the battle would end in a few minutes.

And Syrelle would co out victorious with either Thalos dying or him ending up unconscious and on the verge of death.

As for Pala and Tessa, he was surprised to see Pala struggling a bit to defeat Tessa, and he was more surprised by how powerful Tessa had beco.

However, he knew that Pala would still co out victorious. Though, she would have to use more of her abilities than she would want to.

’Surprising.’

Corey inhaled and exhaled deeply as he decided to observe the battles going on around him through his Eyes of Omniscience, knowing that it might take so ti before the Pope spoke.

He also decided to do this because he knew that he had to shift his attention to sothing else and not the Pope or else his fury would keep on ssing with his head.

"Tessa! Your sister is Tessa! And Tessa is your sister!"

Corey frowned and looked at the Pope in confusion.

"What?"
