Jax casually dodged the drip of venom and stepped to the side. He sat atop the body of a dead spiderling, wondering what he was going to do now. He knew that the spider would climb up that high and stay there now that it was near dead. He had prepared the bow and arrows for that precise reason.

However, it appeared that they did not work at all.

There were so arrows lodged into it, so it would slowly start taking more damage as ti passed, but it would surely also heal. And while poison threads slowed down soone’s natural healing, they didn’t completely stop it.

As such, it would take a long ti before the Spider Queen would actually die.

’I can’t wait that long,’ Jax thought. Even if the Spider Queen would die in so ti, the ti it would take would be enough for soone else to interfere with his attacks.

He couldn’t rely on the poison threads.

’I need to get up there sohow and kill it quickly,’ he thought. But he couldn’t imagine how he was going to get up there. It was 100 feet into the sky, after all.

He thought of climbing it, but after trying to grab onto the webs that covered the 14 trees around the boundary, he realized that they were quite weak, like the webs that covered the rest of the forest.

They were the type that disappeared when they ca in contact with fire. He couldn’t rely on them at all.

’How the hell do I climb then?’ he thought. There was nothing to grab on the tree, so after so thought, he brought out so previously prepared threads and wrapped them around the massive tree before wrapping them around himself and using them as leverage to climb.

Pulling on the threads, he could force himself to stay upright on the side of the tree, and by slowly moving the loop up around the trunk each ti, he could move.

It was a slow journey, but Jax was going up.

However, just as he was about 10 feet up on the tree, he saw the shadow move below him and looked above just in ti to see the Spider Queen spit venom his way. Jax tried to move to the side, but friction with the threads wouldn’t allow him to move.

He quickly dropped the tension on the string and slipped out from over it, but not quickly enough to entirely dodge the venom. It splashed on his left leg at the last mont.

Burning pain flared at the place where the venom landed, imdiately seeping through his trousers and burning his skin underneath. Jax grunted in pain, trying his best not to scream, but it was painful.

Tears filled his eyes at that mont from the pain. Not only was his back still hurt from the first ti, now his leg was as well. And now that he had been attacked twice with the venom, it was likely going to begin affecting him as well.

It wouldn’t be long before he couldn’t keep himself up.

Jax got back up on his feet, limping slightly, as he stared up at the Spider Queen nearly 100 feet away. To Jax, it felt as if the Spider Queen was mocking him, teasing him for being unable to get all the way up there.

Even though he was hurt quite badly, his anger superseded the pain, making him growl slowly. "Fine," he said. "If you won’t let get up there, then I’m going to bring you down."

Jax stood next to a massive tree, and in his hand was an axe. It was obvious what he should have done from the start.

Navi filled his entire body at that mont, powering him. Because he hadn’t fought anyone since the start today, he still had plenty of Navi to make use of, and he did. Once his entire body was filled with Navi, he swung.

The axe struck the side of the tree like a thunderclap. Splinters broke off the trunk of the tree where it was attacked, leaving a massive hole there. Despite the sharpness of the axe, its destructive force was much higher.

Jax swung again, the power of everything in him flowing into another strike.

Another massive splinter of wood flew out, leaving a larger hole in the tree. And he continued.

Again and again, Jax continued chopping the tree, occasionally dodging the venom attacks, and managed to remove a large enough chunk of the trunk to make the tree croak in weakness.

If a tree fell in the forest, would it make a sound?

Jax didn’t want to attract anyone else. Since a single tree falling wasn’t likely going to bring down the Spider Queen, he had to fell many of them.

Jax left that tree for the ti being and moved to another one. The more he chopped, the more Navi he used, but he continued chopping down the trees nonetheless.

He got used to it after the third tree and managed to chop one down to its falling threshold within just a minute. He dodged the Spider Queen’s venom multiple tis in the process, going through the trees.

It was around the ti when he was nearly done with all of the trees that Jax heard sothing that surprised him.

At first, he feared it was another party that had found him. However, very quickly, he realized that what he heard was, in fact, a notification of sothing he had achieved.

Jax paused for a long second before understanding what had happened. His weeks of using Navi to empower his body had finally borne fruit. He had learned the skill he had wanted to learn all this ti.

He didn’t have the ti to check the description as he had to keep chopping at the tree. And before he even knew it, all of the trees were ready to fall.

All they needed was a little push.
