Verona bit her lips. If she can't kill herself then Klautz will. She turned to the man.
"Sir, may I ask, what is your na?"
Klautz raised his brows. He was wondering why she was acting so strange.
"I am called Shiny."
"Ah okay. Shiny… I have to thank you for whatever you did for us. If not for you both of us wouldn't have been survived so far." She said as she stole a glance towards Dant's dead body. Yes both of them had survived, yet she killed one making it only her.
Klautz furrowed his brows. 'Killing him… while being thankful that I saved him?'
"I was just doing what I wanted. There is no need to thank anyone…"
"No let thank you," she cut him off in his speech. "But I have one more favour to ask of you. Can you… can you kill ?"
"What!" Klautz couldn't believe what he had heard.
His jaws fell for a second but then he got lost deep in thought as to why she would want such a thing.
'Does she feels so scared that she wants to die? Or does she wants a painless death, now that all of her teammates have died and without them, she is dood to die?'
Klautz stared at her face closely. He went up close so much so that their noses were just a few inches apart. He was trying to read her face.
"You want to die? Why do you want to die?" Klautz asked.
"Why?" Verona blinked. "Look at him." She pointed at Bret. "He is already dead. Bret, Kristie, Blair all of them died because of . It is as if I have survived by stepping onto their lives. How can I live like this? Even though I know Dant killed them by I can never…." She burst into tears, "Never bwe able to liwve with such guilt" Her voice wavered as she cried more. She didn't want to cry in front of Klautz but no matter what she did, she couldn't hold herself back.
Everything beca clear to Klautz. What she felt. What were her intentions… everything. But Klautz was concerned about sothing completely different. For so reason, he had not got any secret class even though he could swear to heaven that this trial site was for one of them. What's more? Technically even Verona also cleared the trial along with him so she should also have got a similar prize.
But with her crying buckets could Klautz ask her about it?
'This doesn't seem good.'
"So what? I can already see that you took revenge for them. I am sure that their souls have found peace!"
For the first ti since he was reborn, Klautz tried to cheer soone up. He had to do so to get the proper information out of her.
"Do you know what is worse than death? Dying a pointless death! If you die here all of your friends, their sacrifices all would have been for nought. Consider how would they feel when they get to know that all they had gone through was a useless death." Klautz breathed in. "That's why you have to live. Live for your friends so that they can be happy and proud of their deaths too. No matter how much the going goes you must strive to live!"
Those uplifting words entered Verona's ears. Her head that was ducked low raised high. Her eyes were swollen from crying.
*bawl*
*sniff*
Klautz rubbed her back trying to calm her down.
Her tear bucket finally burst forth. She cried without holding back as she said, "I promise, I will" She nodded fervently.
"Good."
Klautz waited for her to calm down a bit as he kept rubbing her back.
"Have you cald down?"
Verona nodded.
"Now let's co to the important part. Have you got any prizes?" he asked
Verona had question marks on her face. She couldn't figure out anything he said.
"No, I guess.."
"Check your status screen please."
Verona checked her status screen. To her surprise, there were few new ssages.
[Would you like to claim your prize? (yes/no)]
"Oh my God, when did these popped up. I didn't notice them at all"
Klautz shook his head as he sighed.
"Isn't it high ti for you to accept the rewards?"
"Ah yes! You are right." She shuddered, "Accept the rewards!"
[Would you like to accept the rewards? (yes/no)]
"Yes!"
[Initiating Integration…]
Verona had a poker face which showed that she didn't understand a thing that was going on. But Klautz raised his brows. The serene look in her eyes made him really suspicious.
"What the fuck? How can she be in such a state?"
What KLautz found weird was that she experienced no pain. When in comparison to her KLautz had felt an intense pain shooting through his head during the integration.
'Co to think of it. When I had acquired classes in my past life, I had felt no pain as such'
The pain that Klautz experienced, was short and fleeting. It didn't have much of any aftermath on Klautz. But why would he be the only one experiencing pain during class integration? That made him worried. But he kept his worries to himself.

Klautz eyes shot wide as he saw the system ssage.
'Why? Why her… and not ?' Klautz couldn't help but ask. No matter how much he thinks he cannot co up with an answer. These systems always ca from a mysterious source in the first place. No one knew where they co from, all they knew was that utilizing these systems made humans stronger, strong enough to fight the dangers of Hell
"Ah, it seems I have got so kind of class. Is it so kind of place I have to go to study?"
Klautz slapped his face with his palm.
