"Ha Ha, you are better than the others. Didn't think that you would be able to reach my blind spot sohow."
Colt smirked as he rose from his knees pulling off his shirt. The armor that was now half destroyed didn't have much use on his body either. As he got it off, few orifices where the protrusions had been stuck were revealed as blood tickled out from the sa.
What's more? His body was chiseled unlike what might have been expected. It portrayed the diligence of his hard work. Indeed Klutz's assessnt had been right all along.
One must note that not everyone in hell necessarily had to have such a body structure. This was especially true for the second gen. For in the world of hell magic exists unlike the tutorial zone.
While it was always true that the residents of hell who had access to magic had high explosive power but such a power ca at a cost. They who had received powers through easier ans refused to focus on training and building up their own defences.
After all, what was the point in having strong reflexes if one can just cast a magic barrier and be done with that alone? It wasn't like their physical reflexes were going to be any better an option compared to the magic that they could use, no matter how much they trained.
But Klautz knew better. It was such people that had the highest mortality rates, in hell.
In hell, nothing can be guaranteed, nothing ever goes as planned in this accursed world. With them being reliant on their magic alone with no backup plan, they beco the fodder for the strong when things start to go south.
This was the very reason why Klautz always chose to be prepared with a plan B.
Colt's strong reflexes pointed that he was also vested in hand to hand combat which was a rarity compared to the other spoon fed second gens. A clear difference in attitude despite currently having the sa strength as others would be going a long way for Colt.
Klautz nodded. Little did he know that he couldn't have been more wrong.
'I wonder who he is.'
One must note that Klautz had not yet identified his opponent. As such, he, who knew about Colt's worthless future, would have surely been surprised at such findings.
'What led to the downfall of the current Colt to his future drunkard state?' That would have been a question Klautz would have surely asked himself.
Indeed nothing was absolutely definable in hell. The person with boundless talent and who seed to have a bright future ahead would be the first one to fall. Such was a fate that awaited those who were unprepared.
'He is even using such a powerful explosive enchantnt in his armor. Who does he fear to be taking such extre ans?'
Weapons and armors with passive skills or active ones have always been popular in the markets of hell.
But there was also a second class of weapons. It was the enchanted ones. Unlike the weapons with skills that were obtained from trials. These weapons were handmade, one imbued with an enchantnt by an enchanter. They didn't have a skill but they had such enchantnts to make up for it.
Not to ntion that they were a bit cheaper than those weapons which were salvaged from trials by playing on one's life.
'But that's more of a general scenario,' Klautz reminisced. 'Even the markets of hell are known to be highly volatile.'
When death is all around you so much so that it has beco a common thing in the world, nothing can be stabilized. The death of an influential rchant or enchanter was enough to throw the market into a frenzy making prices rise to sky high! After all, it was the enchanters who created the weapons.
Take the explosive enchantnt for example. It wasn't really a skill. In fact it was a double edged sword. The enchantnt exploded as soon as Klaurtz's blade got close enough to the armor to throw him away.
It was a weapon ant to counter an assassination from a ninja. Such an event could only make Klautz wonder as to who would threaten to assassinate the current Colt.
'The Ninja villages don't usually don't work by themselves when it cos to political matters. They would have probably avoided a second gen at all costs just like Akihiko did unless soone paid them for a mission.' Klautz thought as he recalled how reluctant Akihiko was to employ Maebi to aid Klautz because of the existence of the second gen.
Klautz wasn't too annoyed by the existence of such an armor. Being a second gen it was understandable if they had so cards up their sleeve. But he certainly hadn't expected such strong asures.
The extent of the explosion could be altered by the enchanter. To block Klautz's attack a small explosion would have sufficed, but the explosion he had received was sothing that was the very limit of what Colt's body could bear as a backlash.
But even that hadn't prevented it from his back being charred black. Colt was being as ticulous and careful as he could be.
'Is there a threat to his life?' Klautz pondered.
While Klautz was deep in thought but unlike him Colt didn't think much about the outco. He indeed was intrigued at Klautz sudden increase in speed out of nowhere but he didn't pry on it further. In his dictionary it wasn't suspicious.
There were tons of trial grounds in a newbie area and it wouldn't be odd for a newbie to get a class that increases their speed for a split second or so.
Indeed, Colt had mistaken Klautz's actual speed as sothing that was provided by a montary boost due to a skill.
