Selena got closer and whispered in Shizu's ears, her cheeks turning red. It was strange how she felt the need to whisper in Shizu's ears even though there was no else in the room. This showed the extent of how embarrassed she was.

Little by little Shizu's face turned several shades of red as well. Until it ended up bright red like a tomato.

"What! Are you serious?"

Selena nodded, biting her lips.

"I see, so these sort of things happen between lovers. I didn't know." Shizu held her chin lost in thought.

For sure, Selena had filled innocent Shizu's brain with so weird knowledge.

"Shizu, can you show where the shop for these kinds of things is? I kinda didn't pay any attention when the instructions were being relayed."

"Yup I know!"

Shizu nodded, jerking her head with everything she had got.

With the agreent made they got out of their room only to find Klautz approaching them.

"Ah… Klautz!" Selena squeaked.

'Has he co to et ?'

Selena was about to run up to him probably also holding so expectations. But alas Shizu pushed her from behind, not letting her go. Shizu might look frail from the outside but she had quite the strength to her thanks to the Satan's system.

"Sorry Mister, I am taking your girlfriend to the won's departnt. You have to catch her later."

She smirked.

"Shizu wait!"

"Nope, did you forget what state you are in? How can you move around like that?" Saying so Shizu pushed her away. Selena was helpless against her strength.

Klautz tilted his head to the side.

'Wait, those two are roommates?'

How much of a coincidence would it have been for those two to end up in the sa room? Klautz had his suspicions but he didn't bother to be worried about sothing important. Especially when a threat was looming over his head.

For so reason Klautz had no roommates. He was supposed to get a guy as his roommate too. Which only made the situation that happened yesterday all the more suspicious.

'Is Gozoto involved in all of this? But why would he target ? Isn't he supposed to be just a trainer selected for this year?'

Gozoto was training them for a reason. He was being paid heavily for it. Every year a different trainer is selected to train the newbies and pull out their secrets. It was their way of flexing their ploy to the other residents.

It was as if they were telling them, 'You know everything about my tricks but you cannot do anything about it.'

Klautz sighed as he found himself in front of Verona's quarters.

*Knock* *knock*

"You there? Verona?"

"Ah yes! Coming!"

The door slid open and Verona greeted Klautz with a smile.

'Whoever it was, she wanted to be alone. That is why she didn't allow the roommate to co to my room. I should better rge with the surrounding.'

It was unlikely that the attacker would attack him in broad daylight. But it is always better to be cautious.

Klautz slid inside the room as she closed the door behind.

"Where is your roommate?" Klautz asked.

"Ah she went to take a bath."

"I see"

Klautz walked ahead and comforted himself on her bed. There was nothing more to do for him than to wait.

"There is sothing I always wanted to ask," Klautz whispered. "What do you think of ?"

Hearing such words Verona's steps halted as they froze. Her ears twitched. It was rare for Klautz to ask such a question.

'Is everything alright?' she thought.

"I think of you as a great leader!" Verona replied.

"Pfft!" Klautz couldn't help but laugh, "Ha Ha Ha, great leader? Ya sure."

Klautz was a professional ninja. He was probably the last person to be called a good leader. But he couldn't help but feel himself getting heated up! To put more effort on this role. And if he wishes to change the future, he very much needs to be a good leader.

Verona could only tilt her head in confusion. But she was happy that Klautz finally laughed. It was rare for him to laugh.

'How could I forget sothing so simple? Klautz is a human too. It must have been really hard on him so much that he forgot to laugh.'

Verona had no idea how accurate her deduction was. In fact it transgressed both of Klautz's lives.

'I want him to smile all the more. He deserves it!'

That day Verona made a secret wish.

The clock struck six. By that ti everyone had accumulated in the congregation hall on the ground floor.

Living in the tutorial zone for a month had taught all of them how to wake up early, no matter how blissful the night might be. After all it only takes a mont for bliss to beco hell.

Soon enough, everyone was divided into groups of five. One resident was assigned to each group. It was highly randomized and the strength of the different mbers of the group were optimized in an efficient fashion. Every group had at least one [Level 1] and at least one [Level 3] newbie.

The group Klautz was in were supposed to hunt at the Forest of Roots.

"Aren't we supposed to be randomized? How co all of us are in the sa group?" Klautz whispered as he checked out his group. His eyes scanning familiar faces.

There were Selena, Verona and also that cheeky girl, Shizu.

"And where is our fifth mber?" Klautz asked the resident assigned to them.

But there was no response from him. Klautz turned to Shizu and glared at her with blood shot eyes. Shizu could only look away in guilt.

'So she had pulled the strings. I should have known.'

Klautz sighed.

'Whatever, it is better this way.'
