It was a monster, truly deserving of the title, matching the sound it produced.

In the dim and pale night of the city, it was an aberration that shouldn't exist.

Though it had a human-like outline, everything else about it was so abnormal that it couldn't be classified as human at all.

The walls of the traditional Japanese mansion stood about 2.1 to 2.4 ters high, but they weren't enough to block the monster's massive body.

Its size was overwhelming. Its arms were thicker than an average person's head, and its thighs were even more exaggerated than the thickness of the wall. There wasn't an ounce of fat on its body—only rock-hard, oppressive muscles.

Even more unusual was its skin color. It wasn't the white of Europeans, the brown of Asians, or the black of Africans. Instead, it resembled the color of dark stone or aged iron. With its muscular body, from afar, it looked like a small mountain or an iron giant statue.

"■■■■■■■■■■■■────!"

The dark, iron-hard giant let out another deafening roar, swinging its weapon rcilessly.

The weapon, matching the color of the giant's body, was a strange amalgamation of a bow, an axe, and a sword. Since it was wielded by the giant, it was enormous—almost as tall as the giant itself. For fragile won like Irisviel and Illya, even a slight touch from it would be fatal.

In the nick of ti, Irisviel grabbed Illya and rolled them both to the ground. The force of her movent caused them to tumble repeatedly, allowing them to narrowly avoid the giant's strike, which pulverized the wall and shattered the ground.

"Illya, run!"

Irisviel shouted urgently into her daughter's ear.

Her left arm was a mangled ss of flesh, hanging limply at her side. Her beautiful silver hair was streaked with red—proof that they hadn't entirely escaped the giant's deadly blow.

"Mom? You're hurt!!"

Illya cried out, her face covered in her mother's blood. The warm, wet sensation snapped her out of the paralyzing fear that had gripped her, only to shock her further upon seeing her mother's condition.

"Run! Don't worry about ! Just run, Illya!!"

Irisviel pushed her stunned daughter away with her uninjured hand, despite the pain.

Having experienced one Holy Grail War already, Irisviel knew exactly what kind of abnormality they were facing. She also knew that she wasn't a match for such an opponent. Just hearing its roar filled her with terror.

If she were alone, she wouldn't even have a chance to struggle—she'd be crushed into a bloody pulp in an instant. But she wasn't alone. Her daughter—her very life—was with her.

Compared to a Servant, Irisviel was weak. But for her daughter, she would find the strength to go beyond her limits.

That strength was called motherly love, the kind that could overco fear and make the impossible possible.

As long as Illya could escape, Irisviel was willing to pay any price, including her own life.

She poured all the magic power in her body into the wires around her, weaving them into familiars that charged at the giant, hoping to buy just a little more ti.

But while Irisviel was ready to die for her daughter, how could Illya abandon her mother?

"No, Mom, I'm not leaving!"

Illya stood up, her pale face filled with stubborn resolve.

"Illya!"

Irisviel was frantic.

"We go together! I promised Dad I'd protect you," Illya said, gripping her magic wand tightly.

She didn't fully understand what was happening, and she knew the monster in front of her was incredibly powerful. But so what? Abandon her mother? Impossible! She had accepted the power from that stern old man and that deceitful trickster for this very mont.

Though she appeared to be a ten-year-old elentary school girl, in truth, Illya was over eighteen years old. She was no longer the naive child from ten years ago—she had learned much, ford her judgnts, and made her own decisions.

She would fight with her own will, to protect her mother and their ho.

"Please, my partner," she whispered.

The pink magic wand extended outward, and the red gem at its tip began to shine brightly.

It was the glow of her spirit, the manifestation of her soul's power—a miracle that transcended magcraft and stepped into the realm of the Third Magic.

"Magic release, full circuit expansion!"

The magic light engulfed Illya's petite body, and in an instant, her fluffy winter clothes vanished.

However, Illya wasn't left naked. The excess spiritual energy and magical circuits flowing from her body beca her new outfit.

Powered by her soul, the magic circuits followed the program embedded in the wand, creating a brand-new outfit.

It was a short dress in the sa style as her magic wand, complented by shoulder guards, thigh guards, and a cape-like decoration on her back that resembled wings. On Illya, a product of Einzbern's highest technology, the outfit was both cute and gallant, blending fantasy with a hint of modesty.

—Magical Girl Illya, gallantly appeared!

The mont her transformation was completed, a massive surge of magic erupted from the gem, forming a pink shield behind her mother, blocking the giant's enormous axe blade!

This was the culmination of Illya's ten years of training, the reward for her years of hard work.

"Good! Let's do this!"

Illya's face lit up with joy as she extended her wand, shouting.

"Slash Attack!"

The magic wand glowed with pink energy once again, this ti condensing into a laser-like line, as sharp as a blade.

However, when the slash landed on the giant, it had the sa effect as Irisviel's familiars—no damage at all.

"Ugh! Slash! Cannon! Slash! Cannon!"

Illya continued to increase her magical output, launching stronger and stronger attacks. Unfortunately, none of them had much effect. Even her most focused cannon shot, packed with maximum magic power, only caused the giant's iron-like skin to turn slightly red.

anwhile, the shield she had summoned to protect her mother shattered after three consecutive blows from the giant's axe.

Illya finally realized that this creature was on an entirely different level from her. While maintaining her magic attacks, she quickly scooped up her mother and began to retreat.

But the giant was even more terrifying than she had imagined.

Despite its enormous body and weapon, the giant wasn't slow—on the contrary, its speed was astonishing.

Like a hurricane, the giant, with its overwhelming strength, speed, and durability, broke through Illya's magic beams and defenses and appeared right in front of her.

"Illya!"

Irisviel used all her remaining strength to push her daughter aside, sending her flying away, while she faced the descending axe head-on.
