Chapter 22: Old Master Chen’s Invitation
Mu Qiannian was not in a hurry and said slowly, “However, I’m representing the Mu Group and working with the Mu Group. I guess that’s why you invited to et you, isn’t it?”

She held Pei Mingchen’s hand and entered the elevator. Her gaze fell on his takeaway. “Is it the preserved egg and lean at porridge again?”
Pei Mingchen nodded. “It’s not as good as the one you made, but I don’t know what to eat either.”
Mu Qiannian pointed at another box. “What’s This?”
“Fried dumplings. It’s your favorite. I was afraid that you would be hungry when you ca back at night, so I bought it for you.”
Mu Qiannian’s heart softened. She had used the excuse of going out to socialize this ti, so it was impossible that she had not eaten anything. However, she had indeed not eaten anything.
Seeing how thoughtful Pei Mingchen was and how he had prepared her supper in advance, she was very touched.
“I was too busy discussing the collaboration just now and did not have a chance to eat. Let’s eat together.”

The sound of the door opening made her alert and awake. When she ca out and saw Pei Mingchen, she blinked her eyes in confusion. “Are you done?”
Pei Mingchen nodded. “Yes. If you’re tired, you can continue sleeping. I need to rest too.”
Pei Mingchen changed into a clean set of clothes and laid down. Mu Qiannian fell asleep again very quickly.
At around 4:00 PM, Pei Mingchen’s phone rang.
Looking at the number on it, Pei Mingchen frowned. Why did he call?
Mu Qiannian was also woken up by the ringing. Pei Mingchen decided not to go out and picked up the phone.
Old Master Chen’s voice ca from the other side. “There’s a family dinner tonight. Rember to co.”
The other side paused for a mont. “Bring Mu Qiannian along.”
The call was quickly hung up. It did not give Pei Mingchen any chance to hesitate or reject.

Pei Mingchen’s expression darkened. Mu Qiannian heard it from the side and asked in confusion.
“Grandfather Chen asked to see . Is it because of Chen Jia?”
