The man with glasses spoke as he proactively handed over his credentials. Su Jiang took a glance and his expression slightly improved.
"President Su, it’s good that you’re back. I have something I want to discuss with you."
"What is it?" Su Jiang sounded a bit impatient.
Just as the man with glasses was about to speak, a masked woman stepped out of the car behind him. Su Jiang recognized her as the agent for the Feng family he had seen at the airport.
"Hello."
Su Jiang, clearly the most influenced by Mr. Su’s views, gave a cold snort upon seeing Feng Zhenzhen and looked at her with an authoritative gaze without saying a word.
He didn’t acknowledge this relation with the Feng family. When Xiao Hai was born, his mother had passed away, so he wasn’t aware. But as the eldest, he not only heard from the old man that the Fengs were no good. Even his mother was thoroughly disappointed with this family.
No matter how prominent the Feng family had been, he had no intention of reconnecting.
"Miss Feng, what is it?"
"I want to see Sheng Ning."
Su Jiang gave her a once-over, signaling to let her through, then got into the car himself and instructed his assistant to drive in.
Sheng Ning had no idea what had just happened. Seeing Su Jiang get into the car, she curiously asked, "What happened just now? Who had the guts to cause trouble right at the entrance?"
"It was a Feng from the Feng family, Feng Zhenzhen."
Sheng Ning caught onto something, "Uncle, it seems you don’t like Feng Zhenzhen?"
"It’s not that I dislike Feng Zhenzhen, I just don’t like the Feng family." After Su Jiang said this, he furrowed his brows in confusion, "I know they helped you a lot in the Feng family in M country. Are you quite close with them?"
"... Not really."
"Then I have to warn you, the Fengs are no good, especially their Family Head, who’s downright bad." In his excitement, Su Jiang started parroting the old man’s criticisms from back then.
Sheng Ning awkwardly scratched her head. Being directly insulted like this, should she explain?
"Uncle..." Sheng Ning thought it over, deciding that while outsiders could be kept in the dark, family shouldn’t be deceived. She awkwardly said, "Actually, I am now the Feng Family Patriarch."
Since being picked up by the Foreign Affairs Department yesterday, her uncle hadn’t returned. Unlike Sheng Ning, he was working on behalf of the nation. Upon return, he had to report to various departments and write briefings, probably too busy for at least a week.
"What?" Su Jiang’s eyes widened, shouting, "Repeat that?"
In the front, Su Huai’an was also shocked, thinking he was hallucinating. He suddenly hit the brakes, bringing the car to a stop. Fortunately, Sheng Ning reacted quickly, preventing the children from getting hurt.
Su Huai’an’s face turned white with fright, "Is everything okay? Are little brother and sister alright?"
"They’re okay!" Sheng Ning shook her head, explaining again, "I am now the Feng Family Patriarch, Uncle. You heard correctly."
"I knew it!" Su Jiang suddenly realized, "For the stingy Fengs to donate a hundred billion in foreign exchange all at once?" Once he thought about how his niece brought back that hundred billion, he suddenly felt proud and didn’t find the Feng family as unpleasant anymore.
"Well, Ningning, you’ve done a great job. Grandpa didn’t dote on you in vain. If he knew, he’d be thrilled."
Su Huai’an smiled warmly. By then, the car had reached home. He got out to help Sheng Ning carry the children inside.
