Qin Jiu’er saw the suspicion written on Lu Yunlan’s face—a sight she had grown used to, as those who doubted her would soon understand her true strength.

"You said that all you needed was three hours to cure my wife, right? If you can’t do it after three hours, then you’d better be prepared to have your master co and kowtow to apologize to ."

If it weren’t for Qin Jiu’er’s boastful claims, Chen Wenzhou probably wouldn’t have given her the chance to practice on his wife.

Upon hearing his words, Qin Jiu’er couldn’t help but smile faintly, her smile sunny and pure, hardly fitting of soone known as a master of poisons.

Chen Wenzhou wouldn’t have had such doubts if he’d been dealing with Song Miaoyu instead, for she seed dangerous, like a venomous snake lurking in its cave, waiting to strike the unwary and render them dead.

But Qin Jiu’er seed more like a cute and naive little white rabbit, so harmless that it was hard to let down one’s guard and trust her.

"It won’t take three hours," Qin Jiu’er said in response to Chen Wenzhou’s comnts, her voice light.

Already distrustful of Qin Jiu’er, Chen Wenzhou’s eyebrows furrowed as he scrutinized the innocent-looking girl before him.

"What do you an by that? Why are you changing your statent now? You previously said it would take three hours. Now you’re saying it won’t take three hours. How much ti do you actually need?"

Due to his distrust of Qin Jiu’er, Chen Wenzhou was easily alard.

Seeing the anxious expression that brought Chen Wenzhou’s heart into his throat, Qin Jiu’er laughed a bit helplessly.

If he knew her real identity, he would surely regret treating her this way.

Those who knew Qin Jiu’er’s true identity couldn’t even lift their heads in her presence, let alone muster the courage to look her in the eyes and et her gaze.

All who knew of her real identity were timid and reverential around her. Aside from her two disciples, who acted naturally in her presence, everyone else was terrified, fearing for their lives at any mont.

However, Qin Jiu’er quite liked Chen Wenzhou’s attitude. Hiding her identity seed to allow her to face the world honestly.

"When I said it would take three hours, it was only because that’s the ti needed for the diagnosis process. To actually cure her, I just need a mont," Qin Jiu’er said with a smile that made her eyes sparkle adorably, prompting Chen Wenzhou to clench his fists unconsciously by his sides.

"Are you playing with ? Before your arrival, I already sought after the best doctors, and they were all helpless against Yun Lan’s poison, shaking their heads without knowing where to start. And now, you’re spouting grand claims!"

"Saying that you only need a mont to clear the toxins from her body and cure her illness—even if you are that person’s disciple, I don’t believe you have such godlike abilities!"

"I’ve only heard of Song Miaoyu’s reputation and that of soone who has retired from worldly society. Why have I never heard of you?"

Chen Wenzhou doubted the woman before him. When picking her up at the airport, she claid to be the disciple of the mysterious person known as K, so he didn’t overthink it and took her ho.

But now, Chen Wenzhou was starting to wonder if he had brought back the wrong person. Yet, if it were the wrong person, with a whole day passed, why hadn’t the real disciple of K gotten in touch with him?

Qin Jiu’er saw the doubt in Chen Wenzhou’s eyes but didn’t feel the slightest burden or pressure, just smiled lightly.

"I told you, I am my master’s last disciple. My senior brother diverted halfway to beco a doctor, breaking her heart. Afterward, she took in and focused solely on cultivating , keeping my existence a secret from the outside world."

Chen Wenzhou let out a scoff upon hearing Qin Jiu’er’s words.

"You’d better not be lying to , and what you said had better be the truth. If you play , even if you are that person’s disciple, I will hold you accountable to the end."

Chen Wenzhou threatened Qin Jiu’er, who just helplessly shrugged her shoulders and gave him a simple, innocent smile.

"You’ve already wasted so much ti. When will you step aside? I need to start treating your wife."

Despite Qin Jiu’er’s words, Chen Wenzhou didn’t imdiately move aside but took another mont to scrutinize the woman in front of him before slowly stepping to the side.

Once he moved aside, Qin Jiu’er could finally see Lu Yunlan lying on the bed.

Lu Yunlan’s complexion was pale. The mont Qin Jiu’er saw her and slled the air in her sickroom, she had a good idea of the kind of poison Gu Siyu had administered.

Such a poison was child’s play to Qin Jiu’er.

No matter how formidable disciples Gu Siyu and Song Miaoyu were, they were still only Qin Jiu’er’s disciples. Although they might be a couple of years older than Qin Jiu’er, she was the true genius of poisons in the world.

She wasn’t just a genius in crafting poison, she was also a genius in detoxification.

Lu Yunlan was much easier to talk to than Chen Wenzhou. She smiled gently at Qin Jiu’er, even comforting her.

"Don’t take his words to heart; he’s just been really busy lately, dealing with a lot of troubleso matters, which is why he was so impolite."

Qin Jiu’er was about to make her move when Lu Yunlan’s words stopped her, sparking a mischievous curiosity to tease Lu Yunlan.

"I think your husband is right to doubt . It’s quite reasonable, considering that if I truly lack the skills to cure you, you are aware that you have less than two days left to live."

"If I fail to cure you, my master won’t have enough ti to save you either. Then you’ll have no option but death. Wouldn’t you hate ?"

Qin Jiu’er smiled at Lu Yunlan, who was clearly surprised by her words.

After a mont’s hesitation, Lu Yunlan smiled again, "Rest assured, whether you can cure or not, I won’t bla you. Regardless of the outco, we will only rember your efforts, not your failures."

"I’m quite surprised that a man like Chen Wenzhou managed to marry soone as wonderful as you. To be honest, I’m a bit intrigued by you. If I were to recomnd you to my master, she might even make an exception to take you on as a disciple and teach you the art of poisons."

Qin Jiu’er was still joking with Lu Yunlan when Chen Wenzhou, unable to hold back any longer, pushed Qin Jiu’er.

"Enough talk, save her now!"
