After dropping that fierce remark, Lu Yi gritted his teeth and hung up the phone, ending the call finally allowed Shen Heyu to breathe a sigh of relief.
Holding her phone tightly, Shen Heyu knew that after being provoked, Lu Yi would definitely go to Chen Wenzhou and try every ans possible to retrieve his wealth from him.
At this point, Chen Wenzhou was busy trying to save Lu Yunlan and deal with Pei Yansi, as well as fend off Lu Yi. He likely was stretched too thin and completely exhausted.

He slamd his hand on the steering wheel, unbuckled his seat belt, got out of the car, and approached the ornate iron bars, staring intently at the butler’s face.
"What do you an by that? Is Chen Wenzhou avoiding seeing or is he too scared to see ? I tell you, I’ve co all this way and I must see him. Tell him to stop hiding like a coward and co out to et ."
Chen Wenzhou was unwilling to show his face, and Lu Yi couldn’t help but think that he might be hiding to avoid returning his wealth.
If Chen Wenzhou harbored such a simplistic idea, then he was sorely mistaken because when Lu Yi initially handed over his wealth in exchange for an antidote, it wasn’t with complete sincerity.
He never truly intended to exchange his wealth for the antidote because, despite their differences, Chen Wenzhou was technically his brother-in-law. He thought that, for Lu Yunlan’s sake, Chen wouldn’t actually seize his wealth.
But the antidote he had exchanged all his assets for hadn’t achieved his aim. Shen Heyu hadn’t succumbed to his coercion and spent a night with him.
Moreover, a suddenly appearing Song Miaoyu had cured Yuexue of her poison, so the antidote Lu Yi held was now useless.
Today, Lu Yi had brought the antidote back to the Chen Family, intending to return it and reclaim his wealth. He couldn’t allow himself to end up empty-handed, losing both his wife and his resources.
But now the butler was telling Lu Yi that Chen Wenzhou was in the middle of entertaining a guest and couldn’t see him. If that wasn’t avoiding him, then what was? Furious, Lu Yi kicked the iron gate.
