When Shen Heyu looked up and saw Lu Yi laughing to himself, she slowly stood up straight, her eyes were extra cautious as she watched the person before her, her voice cold without a trace of warmth.
“I hope you won’t bother Yuexue anymore. Since you used Yuexue’s lifesaving dicine to strike a deal with , repeatedly forcing to do things I didn’t want to do, you have ceased to be Yuexue’s uncle.”
Shen Heyu watched Lu Yi cautiously. Hearing her voice, Lu Yi silently withdrew his hand. He lifted his head, eyes betraying an emotion of heartache that he could not hide.
“If I truly didn’t care about Yuexue’s life, why would I exchange all that I have for this antidote, Shen Heyu? Have you thought about it? Why have I beco like this today? It is all thanks to you.”
Even now, Lu Yi was pushing all the bla onto Shen Heyu. For a mont, Shen Heyu felt as if she was seeing things. She thought she detected an emotion in Lu Yi’s eyes that didn’t belong to him at the present.

Shen Heyu refused to continue discussing this dead-end issue with Lu Yi. She was utterly hopeless about him now, not harboring any more hope. The Lu Yi she once knew might as well be dead.

Shen Heyu’s words pierced Lu Yi’s heart like a sword. He felt his heart montarily stop beating. In the end, he also gave up on himself and spewed words Shen Heyu didn’t want to hear. He knew that this conversation would lead to a complete deadlock in their relationship, but he chose to do it anyway.

“Why is it you? What are you doing here? Yuexue is sick lately and needs proper rest, she needs to convalesce, so please don’t co and disturb her anymore.”
Shen Heyu’s voice was cold as she spoke to Pei Yansi. When she saw Pei Yansi appear, her reaction was more one of resistance.
