Her injuries had not healed, but because she had insisted on inviting Pei Yansi for dinner at the Chen family, she had checked herself out of the hospital early.
She hadn’t expected to be faced with such a scene.

Pei Yansi scoffed and, without responding to her, turned around and left,
He now understood that no matter what he said, a person like Chen Lingng wouldn’t listen.
In her heart and eyes, love was always paramount, both pitiful and pathetic.
Seeing Pei Yansi about to leave, Chen Lingng grew more agitated; she started to cry again, shouting at his retreating figure, “Don’t leave , please give a chance…”
She tried to get up again but fell to the ground. Grandpa Chen snorted in disdain and said to the housekeepers, “What are you standing there for? Take her back to her room now! This is disgraceful!”
The housekeepers hurried forward, grabbing Chen Lingng to drag her upstairs, but she resisted, struggling and crying in their hands, as if losing Shen Jiangli ant losing her life.
