Chapter 350: Chapter 350 Expelling Order
“Now that you’ve seen her, you can leave,” Pei Yansi ruthlessly ordered, looking expressionlessly at Lu Yunlan.
After one last glance at Shen Heyu on the hospital bed, Lu Yunlan felt it wasn’t wise to stay longer. She bade her farewell and left.
Watching her leave, Shen Heyu glared unhappily at Pei Yansi and said, “What’s wrong with her keeping company? You co and drive people away, what do you an?”
Pei Yansi opened the lunch box, inside were spaghetti he had just cooked himself. He pulled a stool over to the bedside, picked up so noodles with chopsticks, and fed them to Shen Heyu.
“Fill up your stomach first,” he said, avoiding answering Shen Heyu’s earlier question.
Shen Heyu, looking at his expressionless handso face, felt sowhat annoyed, but her stomach’s protests won over, and she obediently opened her mouth.
As she opened her mouth, Pei Yansi clearly saw her tender pink tongue tucked in the corner, his gaze darkened as he suppressed inappropriate thoughts and fed her seriously.
His cooking skills were always excellent, and Shen Heyu had always known this, especially the spaghetti. Before long, she had finished the entire plate.
After cleaning up, Pei Yansi casually brought up the previous matter, “Stay away from her in the future.”
He was, of course, talking about Lu Yunlan.
Shen Heyu frowned unhappily, “Why should I? After so many years of friendship with her, you tell to stay away just like that?”
Wouldn’t that make her seem very disgraceful?
And make it seem as if her relationship with Lu Yunlan was weak?
Shen Heyu would certainly not agree.
Pei Yansi said indifferently, “She will hurt you; even if she does not, Chen Wenzhou around her could.”
Shen Heyu said, “It was just an accident this ti.”
“And what about the next ti?”
After cleaning up, Pei Yansi sat back down, looking intently at Shen Heyu, “How do you know there won’t be another accident next ti?”
She didn’t speak this ti.
But even though he made sense, she wasn’t too keen on listening. After all, distancing herself from Lu Yunlan was impossible for her.
Pei Yansi said, “Compared to accidents and Lu Yunlan, I only care about you. For your safety, it’s better you keep your distance from her. Or, stay by my side 24 hours a day, I can protect you then.”
“Who needs your protection.”
Shen Heyu glared at him, “Acting like you’re putting gold on your face.”
Pei Yansi smiled, “If not needed then all the better, at least it would prove that you are always safe.”
And for him, nothing could be better than that.
Shen Heyu felt that he was very strange today.
He seed much gentler, with much of his sternness diminished.
She thought of the matter involving Han Manyin and looked seriously at Pei Yansi, “What about Shen Jiangli? Did you do anything to him secretly afterward?”
Upon hearing this, Pei Yansi looked up at her with a nonchalant gaze, “Do I look like that kind of person?”
…He indeed was that kind of person.
Shen Heyu thought to herself quietly but didn’t voice it out loud, she just said, “It’s because Han Manyin ca to see just now.”
Pei Yansi’s expression turned serious, “What did she co to you for?”
His biggest worry now was everyone wanting to target Shen Heyu, and if he was ever distracted, he might not be able to help her in ti.
Shen Heyu saw his nervous expression and couldn’t help but find it amusing internally, but she remained stoic and expressionless as she said, “She just ca to say that Shen Jiangli has disappeared. She suspects it has sothing to do with , but I’m entirely unaware of it.”
Pei Yansi visibly relaxed, relieved that she was unhard. He raised his hand to wipe his face and said, “Don’t bother with her.”
“So why isn’t Shen Jiangli in the madhouse anymore? Are you sure it has nothing to do with you?”
“Of course not,” Pei Yansi said. “What have I ever done? Said? Despising denial is what I detest the most.”
Shen Heyu thought for a mont and realized that it was indeed so.
He never hid anything. What he did, he did; he was never afraid to admit it.
Instead, he would boastfully admit it, telling everyone that it was he who did it. So what? No one could do anything to him.
If he didn’t admit sothing, then it indeed had nothing to do with him.
Shen Heyu felt it strange. If that was the case, where exactly had Shen Jiangli gone?
She grew worried—would he show up again? If he did, it was likely there would be other actions, right?
She pondered and asked, “Do you know his whereabouts then?”
Pei Yansi raised his eyebrows at her. “Do you hope I know, or hope I don’t?”
Shen Heyu glared at him silently. This man was becoming more adept at uttering superfluous words; it was unclear what his true intentions were.
She didn’t respond, simply too tired to engage with him.
Pei Yansi initially just wanted to tease her, but seeing her disregard him, he sighed apathetically in his heart, raised his hand to touch her face, and said with a slight smile:
“I know what you’re worried about. Don’t worry; I wouldn’t let him hurt you. Even if he cos back, there will no longer be a place for him here.”
Shen Heyu nodded slightly without paying him much attention.
Pei Yansi glanced at the ti and told her, “You rest. I’ll be here watching over you.”
She obediently closed her eyes, feeling sowhat exhausted, and soon slowly fell asleep.
Not long after she fell asleep, Zhao Jin entered from outside the ward and said to Pei Yansi, “I’ve checked already. It was the Shen Family who ca to the madhouse and took him away.”
“The Shen Family returned to the country?”
Pei Yansi pondered for a while, sensing sothing amiss. After all, with them returning to the country, there hadn’t been the slightest whisper of it. How could there be no noise at all under any circumstance?
They might be secretly making so plan and had hidden it to avoid startling the ga, hence the secrecy from multiple angles.
Zhao Jin also felt it strange and said, “It seems it was done secretly. It was the attending physician who contacted . I only then learned your boyfriend had already been taken away.”
“The identifier provided family identity, so the hospital couldn’t forcibly retain him.”
Pei Yansi thought for a mont and said, “It seems that his family really ca.”
If the Shen Family mbers had returned to the country, then the case they wanted to acquire from Shen Family would endlessly extend as they sent soone, which ans they still intended to save the Shen Family back ho.
Then Shen Jiangli would definitely have a day to return.
If he ca back, he might continue to pose a threat to Shen Heyu.
Thinking of this, Pei Yansi grew cold. He said to Zhao Jin, “Keep a closer watch; don’t let any mistakes happen.”
Zhao Jin nodded and turned to leave.
anwhile, Shen Heyu on the hospital bed had woken up a few minutes ago, but she chose not to open her eyes.
She had heard all the conversation between Pei Yansi and Zhao Jin.
She couldn’t help but wonder if she was being too harsh on Shen Jiangli.
