"How co it doesn’t count?" Su Wanxin glanced sideways with a flash of sharpness in her eyes. "You just said if we complete all the tasks listed here, we can go find other jobs to make money, right?"

Director: "...Right, but you haven’t finished assigning the jobs. Who’s going to do the brick-moving task? Sheng Qian?"

"How do you know it’s not going?" Su Wanxin raised an eyebrow, noticed the stiffness in the director’s expression, and laughed to lighten the mood. "Don’t worry, I’ll ensure the completion of all the tasks and won’t embarrass you."

Director: "You—you’re really planning to move bricks?"

Su Wanxin smirked mischievously, "Can’t bear to see do it? Then why don’t you go in my stead?"

"Refused!"

"Then there’s nothing I can do about it." Su Wanxin shrugged her shoulders and looked back at Sheng Qian: "Amusent park, accounting firm, which one would you prefer?"

Sheng Qian frowned, hesitated. Before she could speak, Su Wanxin continued.

"Go to the accounting firm. You’re so good-looking, if you went to the amusent park, people would probably be too busy staring at you to enjoy themselves."

Su Wanxin was skilled at dishing out flattery, and Sheng Qian couldn’t help but laugh.

She knew Su Wanxin was considering her situation; with too many fans, and intrusive ones at that. If they knew which amusent park she was at, it would surely cause a commotion.

"Alright then, I’ll go help out at the accounting firm."

With that, two tasks remained: selling tickets at the amusent park and moving bricks at the construction site. And the only person left was Su Wanxin.

She went back to her room to fetch a light jacket, then walked out with the crew. "Let’s head to the construction site first."

The car arrived at a construction site in the West Suburb, where the blazing sun and flying dust made for a decidedly unfriendly environnt.

Su Wanxin put on a mask, dressed in her sun protection gear, and surveyed the site from the outside. Just as the show crew was about to remind her that she needed to go further in to work, her phone rang.

She answered it, spoke softly for a few monts, and then told the caller her location. Soon after, she saw a plainly dressed middle-aged man walking towards her with a puzzled look.

"Miss Su?"

The man beca a bit intimidated when he saw the cara following Su Wanxin.

"Yes." Su Wanxin smiled and nodded, "Are you looking for so odd jobs? Is hard labor like moving bricks okay for you?"

"Yes."

"Then help move bricks for a day, and I’ll give you two thousand yuan, how about that?"

The mont Su Wanxin made the offer, the man was surprised, the staff behind were surprised, and so were the viewers watching the live broadcast.

What kind of trick was this?

Su Wanxin: "I’ve already checked. The more lucrative jobs on a construction site right now are carpenter, rebar worker, etc., but the daily wages won’t exceed one thousand yuan. Moving bricks, a manual labor job, is just a few hundred yuan, so I’m offering you two thousand, which should be considered a high price."

"You guys aren’t trying to scam , are you?" The man nervously glanced at the cara.

"Not at all, I’ll pay you in advance. Just don’t take the money and run."

"I definitely won’t run! I’m a man of my word!" The man patted his chest in assurance, his face showing his honest intent.

Su Wanxin smiled and nodded, then turned to look at the director whose face had darkened. The director had been trying to figure out what she was up to, and now it all made sense.

"You never specified that these tasks had to be [personally] completed by us ten people. I asked you before if it’s all right for the tasks to be completed by anyone and to be arranged by , and you agreed with my point. So now, you can’t go back on your word."
