Su Yao sat up straight, no longer looking at him.

No preparation at all, and he just cos to talk about marriage. Hmph, too perfunctory.

"Very sincere attitude." Lu Ci’s lips curled slightly as he leaned in. "It’s just because I moved here, didn’t bring my things over."

"... Really?"

"Really."

Su Yao looked up at him again, then paused for a while, saying, "Then co see about this tomorrow."

"Okay." Lu Ci’s eyes held a smile, "Wait for tomorrow."

Finally got him to leave, Su Yao looked at the docunts in front of her, feeling a bit distracted, unable to calm down.

She tried to focus on work, but by four o’clock, she ended up drifting back to the bedroom like a soul-less puppet, collapsing into bed and snuggling into Lu Ci’s arms.

"Rember to wake up in the morning, you have to make sure I’m up." She said weakly, feeling Lu Ci waking up and reaching out to hold her.

"Mhm, sleep now."

With his promise, Su Yao finally relaxed, let out a yawn, and fell into a deep sleep.

In the morning, she was groggily awakened, sat on the bed in a daze for a mont, then suddenly rembered she had to appear in court. Flustered, she hurriedly got up and rushed to the bathroom to wash up.

After washing and changing clothes, she quickly grabbed a bite downstairs and put down her chopsticks.

"I’ve got things to do, so I’m leaving. Bye-bye!"

She waved at Su Wanxin and the others before getting up and heading out. Lu Ci unhurriedly took a tissue to wipe his mouth, also getting up.

"I’ll take you."

He followed behind Su Yao, softly speaking.

"Huh? Aren’t you going to the company?"

"I’ll go later."

The two walked out one after the other, Fu Shihan gazing at their departing figures, shaking his head with a sigh, "Even Brother Ci has his day."

"Daddy." Yangyang looked at him with puzzled expression, "Are Aunt and Uncle going to give a little brother too?"

He saw they were coming out of the sa room.

Fu Shihan: "Don’t know, ask them when they co back tonight."

"Okay!"

Yangyang nodded seriously, keeping this matter in mind.

Su Yao was dropped off at the courthouse by Lu Ci, and after finishing there and returning to the law firm, she rembered promising Su Wanxin to et with a client yesterday.

Fortunately, a colleague had already handled the reception, and the specific information had been sent over.

She returned to her office, looking over the docunts while slowly eating a burger. Until there was a knock on the door, she looked up to see Lu Ci appearing at the door.

"Why are you here?" She swallowed the food in her mouth. "So free today?"

"Ca to deliver sothing."

Lu Ci stepped in front of her, eyes twinkling with amusent.

Su Yao froze for a mont, realizing what he ant, coughed awkwardly, and said, "Close the door!"

Lu Ci deliberately left the door open, hoping people outside would know what was happening inside.

Su Yao saw through his little plan, got up intending to close the door herself but was pulled back by Lu Ci.

Lu Ci held her hand, lowering his gaze to look at her.

Su Yao looked up to et his gaze, her heart involuntarily trembling.

As their eyes t, Su Yao’s heartbeat quickened. She looked at the item he took out, bit her lip, and softly asked, "When did you buy this?"

"A month ago? Can’t rember too clearly." In any case, it was prepared long ago.

"That early?"

She thought he had gone shopping after they got together.
