Lu Ci finished speaking with Su Yao and imdiately took out her phone to send a ssage to Fu Shihan.

She made it clear to Fu Shihan that she was taking Su Yao ho tonight, and if he didn’t have ti to accompany Su Wanxin, she would introduce a friend to Su Wanxin.

Fu Shihan hadn’t contacted Su Wanxin for the past two days, and to his surprise, Su Wanxin hadn’t sought him out either.

After reading the ssage from Lu Ci, Fu Shihan tossed his phone aside and frowned.

Su Yao had already gone to the Lu Family’s house twice, yet Su Wanxin hadn’t been back ho with him once.

Fu Shihan thought for a while, then phoned Chen Lei and asked him to confirm Su Wanxin’s schedule for the afternoon and evening, and then send it to him.

Chen Lei sneaked around to get Su Wanxin’s secretary’s schedule, only to be looked at with disdain by the secretary.

"President Chen, why are you always inquiring about President Su’s schedule?"

Already married with children, and at that age, what are you up to!

Chen Lei: "..."

Chen Lei: "Clear your mind of those thoughts! I’m asking for soone else!"

Secretary: "Who?"

"Her husband, your President Su!"

Secretary: "?????"

"Enough with the staring, hurry up and give it to , I’m in a rush to report back!"

After getting the information, Chen Lei quickly sent it over to Fu Shihan. He had done such sneaky things frequently, so he was completely poised when he saw Su Wanxin, not panicking at all.

Unbeknownst to Su Wanxin, her own subordinate had sold her out. After work, she sat in her office in a daze, and then suddenly decided she didn’t want to attend the social gathering.

She looked up on her phone and saw that there was a temple fair tonight, a lively event where one could see the lanterns. After a mont of thought, she imdiately went ho and changed her clothes.

She smartly didn’t drive, wearing a hat and a mask she headed straight to the subway station, fearing that she would be stuck in traffic and spend the whole night in the car.

Fu Shihan finished his work early and went to the address provided by Chen Lei’s information to wait.

He knew that Su Wanxin had nothing going on today and should arrive early. But after waiting for more than half an hour and still no sign of her, he couldn’t help but to call her.

The signal wasn’t too good in the subway station, and it wasn’t until Su Wanxin left the station that she noticed his missed call. With mixed feelings, she called back, asking what he needed.

Hearing the noisy background on her end, Fu Shihan frowned: "Where are you?"

"At the temple fair," Su Wanxin confidently replied, "What’s up?"

"Aren’t you attending President Gan’s birthday party?"

"Oh, I didn’t feel like going."

Fu Shihan felt so irritated that he closed his eyes for a mont, ended the call, and walked out, clueless about where that damned temple fair was taking place.

After getting into his car, he looked it up and checked the traffic conditions, realizing that the area was already very congested. Missing out on eting Su Wanxin, he was quite upset.

It was Su Wanxin’s first ti attending a temple fair, and it was crowded with people everywhere, buzzing with excitent.

As she walked among the bustling crowd, listening to the laughter and chatter of the passing strangers, she was thrilled to learn that there would even be fireworks later on.

She hadn’t eaten dinner, so she just bought so snacks and munched on them as she walked.

Most people were in groups of families, enjoying themselves, and it was rare to see soone alone like her.

But Su Wanxin didn’t mind, instead she was quite happy that no one recognized her here, and she could relax comfortably while wearing her mask.

She strolled for a long ti, watching the lanterns and guessing riddles. After an indeterminate amount of ti, her phone rang again.
