Yangyang went back to the Fu Family’s ho that day and hasn’t returned.

Initially, Fu Shihan said it was only for one night’s stay, and Su Wanxin thought it was probably because the elders at ho wanted to see their grandson, so he might stay a few more days; she didn’t comnt on it.

The room felt empty; she went back to her bedroom, curled up in bed, and reflected on every word Mu Xinghan had said that day.

Her head hurt from all the thinking; she rolled out of bed, took two pills, and then fell into a blurry sleep until dawn.

Lantern Festival.

Su Wanxin rembered that Lu Ci had ntioned that he planned to take Su Yao ho today, so she lied to Su Yao early, telling her she had a social engagent that evening and would likely return late.

"Su Wanxin, are you serious? Leaving alone at ho during the festival?" Su Yao looked displeased. "Where are you going? Can’t you take with you?"

"Isn’t Lawyer Su busy enough? Still have the energy to run around with ?"

Su Yao: "..."

"I’m full, I’m heading out."

Su Wanxin smiled as she left; she then called Lu Ci to ask about his plans for the evening.

Lu Ci was planning to go find Su Yao in the afternoon. Hearing Su Wanxin asking, he proposed, "Why don’t you co to my house too?"

"Not really," laughed Su Wanxin. "President Lu, are you planning to bring back two at once to let your family choose which one is suitable?"

"Am I a joke to you?"

"I’m not joking," said Su Wanxin seriously. "Take good care of Yaoyao, otherwise, I’ll co settling the score with you later."

After warning Lu Ci, Su Wanxin hung up and pondered where to spend the evening.

Actually, finding a place was not hard for her; her schedule was packed every day, and if she wanted, partying all night every night was no issue.

At three in the afternoon, before Su Yao could sneak out of the company, Lu Ci was already at her door.

The office door was knocked, she casually responded with "Co in," then looked up to see Lu Ci’s face, startling her.

"You...! How co you’re here?"

Su Yao checked the ti, thinking it couldn’t be, could it? She was planning to sneak out at four o’clock, who could have expected him to arrive so early?

"There’s nothing much at the company, just ca for a stroll," Lu Ci said nonchalantly as he sat on the sofa. "You do your work; I’ll entertain myself."

His unapologetic deanor irritated Su Yao, as if they were that familiar.

Su Yao looked down at her docunt, and said indifferently, "Just to be clear, I’m not going back with you. It’ll beco too hard to keep up the lies if this continues."

"My grandpa was actually planning to co pick you up himself, but I refused him," boasted Lu Ci. "If he doesn’t see you today, he definitely will tomorrow. So, are you planning to go back with him tomorrow?"

Su Yao: "Tell , what exactly does Grandpa like about ? I’ll change!"

Lu Ci laughed, shaking his head: "I don’t know, you can ask him yourself tonight."

Su Yao: "..."

If I had that courage, would I be talking about this with you?

Seeing that approach was not working, she switched tactics: "I need to go ho to accompany Wanxin."

"She has Fu Shihan for company."

"They fought and haven’t made up yet," Su Yao made a point to ask that morning, knowing the two were still in a cold war.

"Don’t worry about that, if Fu Shihan is angry with Wanxin, he’s just tornting himself; he won’t last long. I bet he’ll definitely look for Wanxin tonight."

On this point, Lu Ci was very certain.
