Seven Sins System Chapter 408. Wrong Tiline
"I can't tell you, at least for now," I repeated, the uncertainty evident in my tone. "There are so things I don't understand, and based on the information I have, it doesn't make sense. Sothing's missing, but I can't pinpoint what it is," I admitted, frustration creeping into my voice.
"What do you an, sothing's missing?" she asked, her voice gentle but probing.
I shook my head. "I wish I knew," I muttered, running a hand through my hair in frustration. "It's like... pieces of a jigsaw puzzle that don't quite fit together. No matter how hard I try, I can't make sense of it all."
The ancient demon's revelation threw into a whirlwind of thoughts. According to him, he was expelled from the light realm, which contradicted the assumption that he first fell into the mortal realm before entering the shadow realm. If that were the case, demons like us would have classified him as a fallen angel or possibly a celestial being who had lost their status. However, records from the shadow realm's royal history indicated that he had been a prominent figure there for an extensive period.
The puzzle pieces weren't fitting together. The discrepancy in the tiline raised more questions than answers. How could he have been a significant presence in the shadow realm if he had been cast out from the light realm directly?
It was clear that there was more to the ancient demon's story than t the eye. The cult's bible and my father's accounts hinted at a being of imnse power and influence, yet his true nature remained elusive. The tiline didn't match. There was sothing strange here.
"Then say it. Maybe I can help you," she insisted, her brow furrowing in concern.
"I can't," I replied, my tone resolute.
Her response was silence, but her eyes bore into mine. "Does this all have anything to do with my realm or maybe the goddess?" she ventured.
I remained silent.
"Then say it. I can help you," she urged once more. "I know sothing happened with the light realm, and I'm looking into it," she added.
"If I say it, what will you do? Ask your mom?" I cut straight to the chase, my words laced with skepticism. When it ca to goddesses, the queen was undoubtedly the most suspicious of the lot.
“Yes. At least I have to ask her," she confird without hesitation, her tone leaving no room for doubt.
I let out a long exhale. ‘Right... of course,’ I thought. The difference lay in our respective authorities—I had to answer my father, while she had to answer her mother. It was an ironic twist.
I couldn't bla her for the protocol; after all, we were both bound by duty and allegiance.
"Okay," I acquiesced with a sigh. "But if you think I'm lying, I'll stop this," I cautioned her.
"Deal," she agreed readily.
"First, I want to ask you, have you ever discovered their demon summoning formation?" I inquired.
Her response was swift and affirmative. "Yes," she confird.
"Did you know that summoning formation is similar to which of us?" I prodded.
She remained silent. "I'm not sure," she admitted after a mont's pause. "But I once stumbled upon one, and it was similar to your summoning formation," she confessed. "That's why I was angry with you at the last eting," she added.
"Then have you ever encountered the holy summoning formation?" I pressed on.
A furrow creased her brow. "Are you asking which deity the holy summoning formation belongs to?" she shot back.
I t her gaze head-on, unflinching in the face of her scrutiny. "I found one," I revealed. "And the summoning formation was similar to yours," I confessed.
