Seven Sins System Chapter 372. I Demand Gender Equality!

Due to the twisted tales of slander, I could practically feel her hatred burning through , even though her eyes were squeezed shut like she was pretending to be asleep. She might have been hiding it, but I could feel her silently seething, like she was screaming in my head right along with .

'I'm innocent! They're all lying! For my father's sake, I am innocent!' I scread in my mind, the frustration hitting hard. Here I was, a devil, the very symbol of sin, and now I had to deal with mortals slandering . It was beyond pathetic, but it stung more than I wanted to admit.

'Those damn mortals...' I thought, my mind already working on ways to make them pay. The idea of torturing them in the underworld was almost satisfying enough to calm the rage building inside . The thought of seeing them squirm for daring to ss with my reputation felt like sweet revenge.

Ti dragged on, stretching out like an eternity. The van bumped along the city streets, and while it had probably only been an hour, the uncertainty of where we were going gnawed at . One thing was clear—we hadn't breached the city's protective magic barrier yet. Still, with Puriel beside , it felt like I was navigating a personal hell.

Finally, the van screeched to a halt in front of so abandoned building. The place looked like it hadn't seen life in years. It was big, probably once fancy, but now it was just a relic, covered in gri and neglect. The structure looked like a warehouse—imposing, cold, and forgotten. Graffiti covered the walls, splashes of color fighting against the dull decay, screaming rebellion and despair from anyone who had been forced to leave their mark.

The surrounding area was just as bad. Trash littered the ground in all directions—broken bottles, discarded furniture, rusted tal strewn about like a junkyard. It was a ss, but that only made the whole thing more ominous.

The van doors slamd open, and the kidnappers wasted no ti. They hopped out like wolves on the hunt, scanning the area for any unwanted attention. Once they gave the all-clear, they turned their attention back to us.

Puriel, still pretending to be unconscious, was handled with surprising care. Two of the goons lifted her gently, even though she'd clearly given them a hard ti earlier, with one of them still nursing a bruise from her little outburst. But they treated her like glass, moving her slowly and cautiously, as if she could shatter at any mont.

?

Yeah, that was a whole different story. One of the kidnappers grabbed my arms like they were ready to snap them off, dragging out of the van with no care for my comfort. The rough asphalt scraped against my back, and I could feel my jacket tearing from the harsh treatnt. This wasn't just annoying; it was humiliating.

I couldn't help but feel a surge of anger at the obvious difference in how we were being treated. Why was Puriel, who'd struck one of them, getting the delicate treatnt while I was practically being tossed around like trash?

'I'd had enough of this double standard. I demand equality here!' I thought bitterly as they dragged out. Why did I get dragged out like a sack of potatoes while she got the princess treatnt? It wasn't like they were short on manpower—they could've easily had soone hold my feet to make sure I wasn't scraping my back against the ground. But no, that was apparently too much to ask.

'What a bunch of hypocrites,' I grumbled to myself. It was beyond frustrating.

And, as if it wasn't bad enough that I was being dragged through the dirt, I couldn't even save my new leather jacket. The damned thing was already ruined, the smooth surface destroyed by the rough asphalt.

'Shit,' I cursed under my breath.

Once the kidnappers got us into the building, a musty sll hit . It was like a dumpster mixed with sothing decayed—just gross. The building was no better than the outside. The air was stale, and the only light ca from dim bulbs that flickered every few ters, casting eerie shadows across the walls. It felt like a damn horror movie set.

I couldn't shake the feeling that sothing wasn't right. My stomach was in knots as we were led deeper into the building, and just when I thought we were getting close to confronting whoever had been behind all this, they stopped in front of a huge, tal door. I braced myself, expecting to co face to face with whoever had been slandering .

But instead of an epic showdown or so fancy, villainous lair, they threw us into a grimy, cold cell. Seriously, I wasn't even given the courtesy of a proper interrogation room. The place was a dump—bare walls, no beds, just the cold concrete floor pressing against my back as we were shoved inside. The cell was marginally cleaner than the hallway we'd passed through, but that was about the only thing going for it.
