Seven Sins System Chapter 366. Panic Attack

"Fiona, calm down and keep your focus!" I called out, my voice cutting through the chaos. My eyes stayed locked on her, but my feet moved with purpose toward where my fallen dagger. In one swift motion, I snatched it up, ready to face the next holographic monster.

Despite my reminder, Fiona struggled to regain composure. Panic clung to her, evident in the erratic movents as she darted around, desperately avoiding the monsters that now had their sights set on her. It was a bad dance of evasion, and her team couldn't hide their growing concern. So gripped their weapons tighter, poised to intervene, but a restraining gesture from Julia halted their impulsive reactions. Arms folded across her chest, Julia's unwavering gaze remained fixed on Fiona.

Truth be told, annoyance simred under my composed exterior. If Fiona were a demon under my command, a soldier in the infernal ranks, I would subject her to the relentless crucible of hellish training. In my realm, survival was the only currency, and demons either thrived or perished. It was a brutal but effective thod to weed out weaknesses and mold warriors with unshakable resolve.

But this was the battle academy, not the depths of hell. Here, the approach needed finesse, understanding, and patience – qualities that sotis tested my own limits. I glanced at Julia, recognizing her restraint, but the frustration lingered.

"Use barrier!" I instructed Fiona, urgency lacing my words. Fiona attempted to use the protective spell. However, the three nacing holographic monsters that charged toward her proved too much for her nerves. Panic set in, disrupting her concentration, and the spell faltered. She took off in a sprint once again, fear painted across her face.

"Are you kidding ?" I muttered under my breath. It was clear that the current training approach wasn't working for Fiona. Her inability to control the panic threatened to hinder her progress, and I knew I needed to adjust my thods.

Taking a mont to reassess, I aid for a more direct intervention. Pointing my hand at Fiona, I tapped into my own skills. "Barrier," I cast.

[A barrier has been ford!]

The expected protective barrier manifested, but there was a twist. Instead of enveloping Fiona in a shield of safety, the barrier materialized around the holographic monsters, effectively trapping them in an invisible cage.

- Bang!

The monsters crashed into the transparent barrier, their holographic forms relentlessly testing their limits in an attempt to break free. Fiona, though appearing calr amid the chaos, turned to , her eyes seeking further instructions. However, my disappointnt was clear, a silent statent that the training hadn't unfolded as planned.

Julia recognized the signals. It was the end of the session. A sigh of disappointnt escaped her lips, and she unfolded her arms. "It seems Fiona needs more ntal exercise than physical," she muttered, a hand instinctively reaching for her whip.

Without a mont's hesitation, she lunged at the monsters, a blur of motion passing by my side from behind with a whoosh. The speed of her movent created a gust of wind that fluttered my white coat.

Once Julia approached the barrier, with a snap of my fingers, I canceled the barrier skill, and it shattered into pieces, leaving Julia face-to-face with the three holographic monsters.

She wasted no ti, raising her whip high and bringing it down with a swift, calculated motion. In the blink of an eye, the monsters disintegrated into fragnts. The training ground was once again silent, the remnants of the holographic monsters fading away.

Fiona wore an expression of guilt and disappointnt. Julia approached her and Fiona lowered her head in apology. "I-I'm sorry, Miss Julia," she admitted.

To my surprise, Julia responded not with stern reprimands but with a comforting gesture. Placing her hand on Fiona's head, she offered a reassuring pat. "We'll figure out how you deal with your panic attacks," Julia said, her tone gentle and understanding.

Fiona nodded weakly, visibly grateful for the support. Together, they walked over to where I stood. "Thank you for taking your ti to teach her," Julia expressed her gratitude, her words sincere.

"Don't ntion it. I'm glad to help," I responded with a dry smile, my attempt to conceal a cringe that threatened to surface. My gaze shifted to Fiona, who stood with a bowed head, absorbing the aftermath of the training.

Offering ntor-like advice, I chid in, "She needs to control herself more, especially in battle. Panic and fear can destroy everything."

"Noted. Thank you for your advice," Julia expressed her gratitude, her tone appreciative of the insights shared.

A second later, Fiona found her voice, speaking with a hint of stamr in her words. "T-Thank you, doc. And sorry. I hope you don't mind train again another ti." The regret in her voice was palpable, an acknowledgnt of the perceived shortcomings during the session.

"It depends on my schedule. But for the ti being, it looks like you have to learn to control your panic first," I advised, my tone a mix of practicality and encouragent. Fiona nodded in acknowledgnt, seemingly determined to overco the hurdles that the training had brought to light.

Once they left the training ground, I turned my attention toward the bench where I had left my belongings. I approached the bench, ready to pack up and head back. The clinking sounds echoed as I gathered my things. However, my routine was interrupted by an unmistakable sensation—the hot, laser-like gaze that seed to pierce through the air. A long exhale escaped my lips as I turned to identify the source.
