Seven Sins System Chapter 365. Burgers Don't Eat Fish

"I think I should go now. I haven't fed my cat," Darren declared. His panic was clear in his voice. The only issue was, he didn't actually own a cat, making it a laughably la excuse.

"I also have to buy a burger for my fish," Barry chid in, matching Darren's level of absurdity.

"Burgers don't eat fish," Ion pointed out.

"Fish don't eat burgers," Claire corrected him, rolling her eyes.

"Bye!" The trio chid in unison before swiftly gathering their belongings and making a hasty exit.

"We also need to go now," Evie announced, flashing a sweet smile.

"See ya tomorrow, doc," Claire added, offering a casual wave before they both made their exit.

Once they left, I shifted my attention to Fiona. "Shall we start now?" I inquired, my tone shifting to a more focused and business-like deanor.

Fiona t my gaze with determination, nodding in agreent. The transition from the light banter with the trio to the serious training session with Fiona felt seamless.

Going to the middle of the training ground, I gestured for Fiona to take her position. The holographic interface humd to life, projecting a level 5 monster with dium-speed capabilities. Its flickering form mirrored the essence of a creature born from the depths of my realm.

My decision to introduce this holographic monster was deliberate. It was ti to refine Fiona's skills, emphasizing her ability to concentrate on team support while honing her agility. I took on the role of both the damage dealer (DPS) and tank, keeping the attention on while she focused on mastering the art of dodging.

The holographic beasts made their first move, and Fiona's eyes widened in anticipation. The training comnced, with navigating the dual role of defender and assailant. The hologram's movents were calculated.

"Rember, it's not just about dodging. Pay attention to your surroundings. Support your team while avoiding attacks," I coached, emphasizing the intricacies of battlefield awareness.

- Clang!

The training ground buzzed with the echoes of clashing sounds as the holographic monster's claws swung toward . Instinctively, I t the attack with my dagger. While the dagger was intended as my ergency weapon, the lack of rules against using it during training sessions made it a handy asset. After all, every student wielded their real weapons against holograms.

A monster lunged forward, prompting Fiona to react in panic. "Heal!" Without missing a beat, she channeled her healing skill, a reflex that many healers tended to rely on when the pressure peaked.

However, this wasn't the optimal move in this situation. A mont later, she snapped back into focus, narrowly evading the monster's attempt to pounce on her.

I huffed in frustration and turned my attention toward her. "Use Barrier, not your healing skill!" I emphasized, hoping to cut through the panic-induced reflex. It was a common pitfall for healers – the instinct to spam healing skills in monts of stress. I understood the impulse; after all, their primary role was to keep everyone in one piece. However, the art of effective healing also demanded strategic thinking.

Panic tinged Fiona's voice as she gasped out, "I- I can't concentrate!" Her breaths were quick, the rhythm of her steps matching the staccato beats of her anxious heart as she sprinted across the training ground.

'For my father's sake! Why are modern healers so much weaker than in the past?' It was a frustrating observation, but I chose to conceal my concern. After all, it wouldn't do any good to pile on the pressure during the training.

Fiona's eyes widened, her voice rising in urgency. "Dr. Allen! Watch out!" Her shout cut through the simulated chaos around us, and I instinctively turned toward her, just in ti to register another holographic monster closing in on . The situation mirrored the one with the monster in front of , creating a precarious scenario. Ard only with a dagger, handling two adversaries simultaneously presented a significant challenge.

A long exhale escaped my lips as I braced for the impending clash. The term was clear – I had decided to act as the DPS, abandoning the use of my healer skills for this specific exercise.

The first holographic monster lunged at , claws slashing through the air. Instead of countering head-on, I smoothly shifted my body to the side, executing a quick sidestep that left the monster swiping at thin air. Capitalizing on its vulnerability, I pivoted and found myself behind the creature in a heartbeat. Without hesitation, my dagger found its mark, plunging into the back of its neck. The hologram disintegrated, dissipating into nothingness.

The second monster wasted no ti and lunged toward , jaws snapping in an attempt to take down. Rather than engage in close-quarters combat, I opted for a different approach. With a swift motion, I hurled my dagger through the air. The blade arced gracefully before landing right on the target – the monster's forehead. Another critical hit, and the second holographic nace vanished.

"Barrier!" Fiona's voice rang out as she cast her protective shield around . A quick glance revealed the flaw in her decision – I wasn't the one in imminent danger. Instead, Fiona found herself being pursued by three other holographic monsters, the barrier ineffective against their relentless pursuit. It was a misstep, a miscalculation in the heat of the mont.

I couldn't help but feel a mix of frustration and concern. I had trained her before, and she had displayed better judgnt in the past. Was it the pressure of facing multiple monsters for the first ti that threw her off balance? I allowed the holograms to target her intentionally, testing her ability to handle the unexpected.

'Right… she can't think straight when she panics,' I surmised, the realization hitting like a revelation. Julia must have experienced similar challenges with Fiona. It was a crucial point of growth for her, an opportunity to learn from her mistakes and adapt under pressure.
