"Fool, so you want us both to die together?"

Wildcat’s face changed as two bone gates sealed off both ends of the corridor, creating a small enclosed space.

Using grenades in this kind of space, neither of them could escape.

"No, the Archer has the ability to summon a bony pyramid for defense. Maybe she can avoid this kind of damage." In an instant, Wildcat’s brain was working quickly: "Does he want to approach him on purpose? In such a narrow range, my abilities are indeed severely limited. Although he’s an Archer, his close combat strength is also very strong. It’s even more dangerous to get close to him in this situation."

His teleportation ability, like Shadow Step, was unable to pass through these solid obstacles.

In such a small space, his teleportation ability was no better than walking a few steps. The risk was greatly reduced.

At the sa ti, he wasn’t confident about approaching the enemy in this environnt either, suspecting that there was so trap waiting for him.

So he made the second choice and rushed towards the wooden door a few steps away.

That should be an office belonging to so departnt of Carn Heavy Industries. After the previous chaos, everyone at Carn Heavy Industries was either dead or had fled. There were hardly any living people left.

At this mont, the wooden door was half ajar, and it was the only way out of the predicant.

Since the enemy wanted him to approach, he couldn’t do what the enemy wanted!

As an Assassin Type [Player], Wildcat didn’t know that he was not suitable for frontal combat, especially in an environnt with limited abilities.

First, get out of his sight; as long as he focused on hiding, the enemy would never find him. Then wait for the chance to strike.

Or, check out the Battlefield of the Knight Rank and Berserker Rank below, and see if there’s any advantage to take there.

He thought so.

And then... he was slamd against the wall by a powerful force.

Three icy rays flashed by, and Wildcat felt the pain of his thighs, arms, and chest being pierced only after hearing the sound of the Archer pulling the bow.

"Did you forget sothing?"

The bone gates at both ends disintegrated into small bone fragnts and fell, and the ergency light source in the stairwell illuminated the view again.

Wildcat looked at the Archer not far away flicking the chanical bow in his hand and the smiling face exposed under the broken Bird Beak Mask.

He shook his head in pain.

The only way out? No, now it seems that it was the trap the enemy had set.

Sealing both ends and making the sound of pulling the safety pin of the hand grenade forced him to make a choice.

Either approach the enemy -- after all, the Archer had defensive skills and would certainly use them to defend against the impact of the hand grenade. He could avoid the hand grenade by approaching him, but at the sa ti face the enemy in a narrow environnt.

Or rush towards the wooden door, avoiding the bombardnt of the grenades, and then hide in the dark and wait for the opportunity to strike.

Unfortunately, Wildcat only miscalculated one thing: the only way out was left deliberately by the enemy.

In effect, he had placed himself under the enemy’s arrows.

The enclosed space, limiting his abilities, and providing a seemingly safe exit, was actually a trap designed to lure him in.

Damn it, what a sly move.

"Cough..." Wildcat coughed up a mouthful of blood: "Should I have chosen to get closer to you?"

He was questioning whether his choice had been wrong.

If he had chosen to approach Li Changhe at that ti, would there have been a different outco?

"No, it would have been the sa. For you, it might have been even worse." Perhaps because of the damaged Bird Beak Mask, the Archer’s voice sounded a bit eerie and harsh.

He wasn’t lying; Yun Ting’s hair had already grasped nine long nails.

If Wildcat had approached, he would have faced the fiercest attack in a crowded environnt. The result would probably have been that he wouldn’t even have had a chance to speak.

"I told you, that was the last chance." Li Changhe replied, taking out the Mo Blade and slowly approaching: "It seems that he didn’t want to save you."

"Yeah... The more of us who die... the safer he is." Wildcat wasn’t surprised that his Contractor didn’t use the Mark of the King to save him. He was as good as dead.

His thighs and arms were torn, and his body was nailed to the wall. The dangerous Assassin Type player in the plot world was now at the rcy of others.

"He’s in... the northern suburb clock tower." Seeing Li Changhe’s Mo Blade rise, Wildcat struggled to say: "The Spear Rank heroic spirit will be summoned nearby. I don’t know who the Contractor is."

"Very well." Li Changhe’s Mo Blade paused: "Use it."

Wildcat’s fingers trembled as he tossed a coin from his palm.

That was the [Escape Coin], the only escape thod for the [Players] after the update.

Right now, Wildcat was providing information in exchange for Li Changhe giving him a chance to use the coin. This was also his only chance to survive.

With a 50% chance, he could live on.

Li Changhe agreed. He was no longer in any danger.

Unfortunately, when the coin spun a few tis on the ground and turned over, it revealed the Underworld River pattern full of withered flowers.

The [Escape Coin]’s 50% chance... he failed to bet on it.

"This is really... bad luck." Wildcat shook his head in pain.

Li Changhe also sighed, then raised his blade and stabbed it directly into Wildcat’s heart.

The plan to eliminate the divine creature failed, good luck to those who follow.]

Li Changhe’s face twitched; this could also explain why Chen Guang hid that information.

As for the divine creature? Li Changhe thought of the deterrent force he had felt at the World Trade Center before.

Was that the so-called divinity?

He just didn’t know if Dog Brother would like this kind of taste.

At the sa ti, without hesitation, Li Changhe rushed back into the stairwell.
