Li Changhe was in prison, speculating on the strength of the captives.
There were veteran soldiers who had fought for years, like Old Zhao and Team Pang.
There were also human Transcendents, like the Profound Level Extraordinary, Zhang Shang.
There were also strong mbers of Different Races, such as the giant Beastman nearly two and a half ters tall. The Sea Clan mber whose whole body was wrapped in chains...
Chaos seed to have gathered these strong individuals together as if rearing venomous creatures.
Li had waited in the flying vehicle’s cage for about three or four hours.
During this period, human warriors and strong Different Race individuals were continuously captured and brought into the prison, making it increasingly crowded. Previously, one could lie down; now, one could only sit.
With the injured and environntal sanitation, the stench inside the cage was horrendous.
anwhile, Li Changhe shrank into a corner and continued pondering.
Summarizing official intelligence, the Chaos forces were indeed capturing captives in various regions and bringing them to a specific place, apparently to conduct a certain ritual. Yet, it was sowhat different from what was known as "becoming a demon."
But whatever it was, players would not let Chaos succeed.
Including Li Changhe himself, as well as Moon God and Qiu Wentian, a total of seven players had infiltrated the group of captives. There might be even more.
If they worked together, they could completely launch a surprise attack on Chaos upon arriving at the so-called gathering site.
According to current intelligence, the most dangerous were the few Great Chaos Demons and the many Chaos Demon Generals.
If coordinated properly, players might be able to hold off, or even eliminate the Great Demons in a short ti and then pool their strengths to deal with the Demon Generals.
But the problem was, while Li Changhe could guarantee battle strength, how could he ensure the safety of the humans?
From the information, after the giant city was breached, so of the population had fled into the wilderness. So were still trapped inside the giant city, becoming captives of the Chaos forces.
That was the population of a giant city! Tens of millions, even close to a hundred million people.
Even if Chaos had captured only half of the population, it was a terrifying number. How then could he protect these humans during the operation? Or to put it another way, how many of these humans had not been corrupted?
Li Changhe thought to himself, "If Brother Ting and Xiaoqiu along with the other official players who infiltrated could hold off the Great Chaos Demons, I could reveal my strength, with the stance of a Demigod, Hero’s Watch firepower fully unleashed. I should be able to eliminate many Great Demons and Demon Generals, directly destroying the core strength of the Chaos forces."
"But revealing your strength could actually put you in greater danger. If Annihilation notices your presence, it might directly aim nuclear weapons or even more dangerous things at your location. By then, you won’t die, but the people from the giant city with its breached and de-powered defenses might suffer," Yun Ting reminded. "The sa old saying, unless a Demigod acts, it’s best not to reveal yourself."
"It’s a bit troubleso. If they directly deliver in front of the opposing Demigod, for the current situation, it might actually be a good thing," Li Changhe muttered to himself. As his strength grew stronger, his constraints increased. What kind of situation was this.
Yun Ting chuckled lightly, "If you didn’t care about the lives of humans, you could indeed act recklessly. Strongest under a Demigod, Molecular Level recovery; with these combined, where in this vast world could you not go? Now, it is duty that binds you."
"No way, Brother Ting, what you said is so cheesy," Li Changhe complained.
At this mont, the flying vehicle shook. Noisy sounds ca from outside, clearly, there were many people outside the vehicle.
Then, a dozen or so Demon Generals entered the prison and took all the captives out.
Upon leaving the flying vehicle, everyone paused, eyes filled with astonishnt.
They had thought they might be taken to a Chaos flagship or maybe a slaughterhouse in so Demon cave.
But now, what appeared in everyone’s eyes was a massive building.
Walls reaching a hundred ters high, countless anti-aircraft guns, massive and sturdy giant gates.
Clearly, this was a giant city, a city occupied by the Different Race.
Li Changhe was amazed by the grandeur of the giant city—the first he had ever seen, which seed to have taken the combination of defense and attack to its extre.
The mysterious Light Curtain spread across the sky made the city appear imnse and fierce.
The humans of this world had survived the siege of the Different Race by relying on this giant city. It would cost an unimaginable price to breach the giant city from outside!
At that mont, Chaos aircraft landed one after another, and huge transport vehicles ca to a stop. A large number of prisoners were escorted by the soldiers of the Chaos forces toward the giant city.
The gaze of the human warriors, however, was drawn to the middle-aged human standing in front of the gates.
That middle-aged human, standing in front of the cockpit, had a smile plastered on his face welcoming the arrival of the Great Chaos Demon.
"Traitor! I’ll kill you!"
Many warriors, with eyes red and filled with killing intent, roared as they charged toward the middle-aged human.
But they were thrown to the ground by a Demon General and dragged toward the giant city.
This middle-aged man was clearly the forr City Lord of this giant city, once one of its supre leaders. He should have sought all possible safety and stability for his people.
Instead, he colluded with Chaos.
He poisoned the leader of the giant city’s army, ambushed the city guards, and opened the city gates.
He offered his people and the entire city to Chaos!
He even gravely damaged the Comrade’s Hamr fleet, leading to a series of disasters that followed.
This City Lord was naturally the chief culprit!
The middle-aged man glanced at the soldiers screaming at him, yet he revealed a delighted smile.
"I didn’t expect to see you again, my brave yet foolish warriors." The middle-aged man’s body was clearly showing twisted mutations.
His skin was as pale as a girl’s. When he spoke, two human faces erged on his neck, as if facial bones had grown inside his neck.
Streams of purple-red light leaked from the eyes and mouths of the facial imprints, terribly frightful.
"Welco ho... After this, we’ll get along very well." The middle-aged man smiled, with a purple-red glow flickering in his eyes. Every captive he gazed upon, whether humans or Different Race, instinctively avoided his look.
"This human has already embraced the arms of the Pleasure Lord. Moreover, he has successfully beco a demon and plotted over this entire giant city, Pleasure has probably endowed him with many blessings." Within the captives, a Sea Clan powerhouse scoffed, "A leader of tens of millions being corrupted is indeed an eye-opener for , humans."
"Heh, it seems your Sea Clan is not much better." A Beastman sneered.
The Beastn as a race inherently believe in their two Divinity Beast Gods. They are completely fearless of corruption.
Li Changhe’s eyes glittered with a murderous intent. God’s Chosen... This Pleasure City Lord had actually beco a Demon, a God’s Chosen!
This also ant that he had already slaughtered a significant number of humans!
"Hmph, you sure have a big appetite, to have devoured two million people... so how are you prepared?" A Blood River Demon approached the Pleasure City Lord, speaking in a condescending manner, "If you have not completed the orders, even if you are that great person’s dog, you only have one way out—death! In the presence of Divinity, your life is insignificant."
"Of course, the field of trials has already been built to perfection," the Pleasure City Lord smiled, "It will certainly select the most excellent warriors for that great person!"
