Chapter 937: Chapter 937 Drowning Sorrows in Wine Chapter 937: Chapter 937 Drowning Sorrows in Wine anwhile, Clayton Howard and Baron Stuart were busy with a social engagent inside a restaurant.
anwhile, in another private room of the sa restaurant, Camila Walker and Aiden Bewell were also present.
It was the first ti she had been willing to have dinner with him in a private room, and thinking about this, Aiden Bewell was naturally happy.
To pursue a woman, what’s required is patience. One day, he would make her gradually accept him.
Throughout the al, Camila Walker quietly ate her steak from start to finish, which sowhat surprised Aiden Bewell; it seed he could sense that her mood was not quite right.
“What’s wrong? Are you troubled by sothing?” he asked her, always so warm.
Although she felt nothing for him, being touched by his concern made Camila Walker sowhat shy, and she could not outright dismiss it.
Since she had heard the words spoken by Audrey Sawyer at noon, her mood had indeed been agitated, wanting to vent but finding no reason to do so.
Even the original intention of dining in this private room was just because of so inexplicable pettiness within her, not knowing whom she was actually angry with. Clearly, Clayton Howard wasn’t able to see her actions or even care about them, but she just wanted to vent in silence!
Camila Walker looked up at Aiden Bewell across from her and for the first ti in front of him, she dropped her façade, quite frankly, “It’s nothing, I’m just a bit upset over so work stuff.”
After speaking, she downed another glass of red wine at her side.
Seeing this, Aiden Bewell couldn’t help but worry, “Drink less; this wine is quite strong.”
Camila Walker smiled, “Don’t worry, I have a good tolerance for alcohol.”
Her alcohol tolerance was indeed good. Although she had not drunk much in four years, three glasses of such wine were still no problem for her!
After finishing one glass, she poured another, as if to vent the dissatisfaction in her heart!
“What is it really? If you tell what’s troubling you, perhaps I can help?” Aiden Bewell said, seeing her resort to alcohol to drown her sorrows for the first ti.
After another glass of wine, Camila Walker smiled back at him, her cheeks now slightly flushed.
She shook her head, “It’s useless… How could you possibly help ? Nobody can help !”
As her words fell, she downed another glass!
Aiden Bewell, worried, quickly leaned over, trying to take the wine glass from her hand.
Camila Walker, however, suddenly jerked away, avoiding his attempt, her bleary eyes looking at him as if drunk but not drunk, and said with a hint of accusation, “What? Are you going to bully too? I just want to drink a little wine!”
Her agitated reaction left Aiden Bewell slightly taken aback; after all, he was pursuing her and naturally did not want to hurt her feelings.
“I didn’t an that. It’s just that this wine is quite strong, and you’ll definitely get drunk if you keep drinking like this.”
Camila Walker smiled bitterly, “Isn’t that perfect? Isn’t that what you n want, for a woman to get drunk?”
Aiden Bewell was taken aback, unsure whether she was already drunk or if there was a deeper aning to her words.
Though many n might harbor unsavory thoughts in such monts, he had never considered taking advantage of her inebriation.
“Camila, you’re drunk.”
“Ha, I’m not drunk. You underestimate … My alcohol tolerance isn’t that bad,” Camila Walker said, appearing both drunk and sober as she poured herself another glass.
Aiden Bewell was worried, but he dared not try to take the wine from her hand again, simply letting her drink as she pleased, one glass after another.
