Chapter 1097: Chapter 1097 Being Followed Chapter 1097: Chapter 1097 Being Followed She hadn’t finished speaking when Mr. Matheo interrupted her with his hand, “Don’t worry, our cooperation will definitely succeed tomorrow, but I really have an ergency right now, very sorry.”

With that, Mr. Matheo had already hurriedly left the private room, looking as if he indeed had so urgent matter.

Watching Mr. Matheo disappear inside the private room, Camila Walker’s face was filled with disappointnt. She had wanted to quickly conclude the contract so she could return to her country earlier. Now this ant she would have to stay another day, didn’t it?

anwhile, Audrey Sawyer, standing by her side, couldn’t help but show a smug curve at the corner of her mouth a second after Matheo left.

As the two won left the private room, Camila was about to head over to Clayton Howard’s place when Audrey suddenly spoke to her, “General Manager, you go back to the hotel first, I have sothing to do.”

Having said that, Audrey turned around and walked toward the front door of the manor.

Watching her leave, Camila furrowed her brows slightly, a trace of suspicion arising in her heart.

Was she leaving to et Yale Shaw?

Thinking of their collusion, Camila beca even more convinced that Audrey Sawyer was not simple, filled with dark, scheming thoughts!

Camila turned and walked towards the restaurant where Clayton Howard was. When they t, they decided to temporarily leave the manor and return tomorrow.

Once out of the manor, Clayton could still feel that they were surrounded by watches, as if dozens of eyes were following them.

He slightly lifted his eyelids and paused the hand that was opening the car door, then looked around.

Although it seed deserted, he knew very well that they were watched by Yale’s people!

Before starting the car, he made a phone call, “Follow them.”

“Yes.”

After receiving the order on the phone, only then did Clayton start the vehicle.

All along the way, sensing his tense nerves and somber expression, Camila in the passenger seat couldn’t help but frown slightly, looking at him, “Clayton, what’s wrong?”

He turned his head, flashing her a light smile, “Nothing.”

Nothing? But his expression clearly indicated that sothing was the matter.

Since he didn’t divulge, she didn’t ask further. However, inadvertently, she seed to notice his occasional glances in the rear-view mirror and suddenly rembered sothing!

She turned her head, glanced at the looming mountain roads—a side against the mountain, a side encircling the sea. If Yale’s people were laying an ambush here, wouldn’t she and Clayton be in great danger?

Rembering what had happened a few days ago, Camila felt an unease at the bottom of her heart, becoming sowhat flustered.

She looked at the rear-view mirror, and for now, there weren’t any vehicles following behind them. She hoped they weren’t actually being tracked.

But…

Turning back, looking at the man’s gravely serious face, he must have detected sothing, right?

“Clayton, are we being—”

Just as Camila was about to ask, Clayton’s cell phone rang.

He put on his Bluetooth headset and answered the call.

She couldn’t hear what was said on the other end of the phone, just seeing the gloom over his face, his brows slightly furrowed.

“How many people?”

“There are more than a dozen cars, Mr. Howard. You and Lady Walker should leave first, leave this to the few of us,” said his subordinate on the phone, although clearly aware that the three of them standing a chance against dozens of Yale’s n was as futile as throwing eggs against rocks—utterly unrealistic!

But right now, they had no other choice. Their task was to protect Clayton Howard and Camila Walker; it was their duty, and even at the risk of their lives, they couldn’t disobey Baron Stuart’s orders.
