Kane walked quickly, not knowing that soone was following him.

Moreover, that person was his rival in love.

It was not until Christopher Hart’s pace quickened and he overtook Kane that Kane caught a glimpse of him, his eyes filled with surprise!

The next second, he quickened his pace as well.

Both n, similarly tall and handso, arrived at "Storm Center" almost at the sa ti.

Then, almost simultaneously, they reached out towards the sa person—

Alia’s arms were grabbed forcefully, one after the other, by two large hands.

It was as if she was about to take flight, her arms pulled upward from both sides.

But Christopher Hart was more dominant and forceful, noticing that his rival had the sa target as him, his eyes darkened, he pulled forcefully, and Alia let out a cry as she was yanked into his arms, her cheek slamming hard against his stiff chest.

Actually, Kane wasn’t outmatched; he just didn’t want to hurt Alia.

Everyone watched the scene, dumbfounded.

Shaw was especially shocked, her mouth agape, secretly exclaiming, "So manly!"

"Kane, control your woman!" Christopher Hart had grabbed Alia and imdiately threw these words at Kane.

Looking down at the woman in his arms, he showed concern and asked softly, "How are you? Are you hurt? Do you need an ice pack?"

Alia wasn’t sure if he was just putting on a show for Kane and everyone else, or if he truly cared—either way, she wasn’t used to it.

So, she softly said, "I’m fine..." and pushed slightly away from him.

When Betty saw Kane had arrived, she froze for a second and then quickly snapped out of it. Even though Kane’s eyes were fixed on his rival, she didn’t care and imdiately clung onto his arm, complaining angrily, "Kane, you’re finally here! This woman hit just now!"

Before Alia could defend herself, Shaw interjected, "You were the one who hit first! We have surveillance footage as proof!"

Betty, red-faced and furious, barked at her, "Shut up!"

"You—"

"Shaw..." Alia quietly cautioned her, then stepped forward and looked at Kane, "Please take Miss Betty and leave. Whatever issues you two have, deal with them privately and don’t make a scene here."

Kane looked at her, his eyes deep and seemingly filled with a thousand words.

But this was clearly not the ti for any more words.

"Betty, let’s go," Kane muttered as he pulled the girl beside him.

But suddenly, Christopher Hart spoke up, "Wait!"

Alia turned towards him, a warning look in her eyes, "Christopher Hart, what are you doing?"

She asked quietly, then sternly added, "Stay out of my business!"

The man stepped forward, noticing the clear red mark on her cheek. He clenched his fist, then turned his gaze towards Kane and Betty, "Shouldn’t there be an apology for hitting soone? Just leaving like that?"

He spoke in Chinese, which Betty didn’t understand, so she instinctively looked at Kane.

Kane glanced at Alia, his eyes spilling over with sympathy, then he pushed Betty forward slightly, "Go apologize."

Betty looked back wide-eyed, "What? Apologize? She hit too!"

"You were the one who initiated the violence, everyone saw it," Christopher Hart spoke again, this ti in English, fearing she might feign ignorance.

Betty was stunned, looking at the tall, handso Eastern man in front of her, who was even more attractive than Kane, her face turning red.

"I... I was just reminding her because she’s monopolizing Kane, and she wouldn’t back off. Kane and I are approved by both of our families. We would have been engaged by now if it wasn’t for her. Now Kane is—"

Betty struggled to defend herself, expressing her resentnt and anger.

But Christopher Hart didn’t want to hear any of it, cutting her off, "She doesn’t like Kane. At most, she sees him as a foolish investor with a lot of money. Kane has been harassing her relentlessly on his own, and you—"

"Christopher Hart!" The man hadn’t finished speaking when Alia Garcia angrily interrupted him and, grabbing his arm, pulled him back, "Would you stop talking nonsense!"

"What I’m saying is the truth."

Alia stared at him, wishing she could sew his mouth shut!

This bastard, always eager to stir up trouble!

Looking at Kane with a mix of fear and guilt, indeed, his expression had beco even more somber, his ice-blue eyes displaying self-mockery and disappointnt.

Alia wanted to explain sothing, but with so many people around, she couldn’t speak up.

But Betty—

Hearing Christopher’s words, she imdiately turned to Kane, "You see, she has another man! She’s not sincere with you, she’s just using you!"

"Betty!" Kane said quietly, reminding her to stop talking.

But Betty wouldn’t listen and continued to persuade, "Kane, wake up, the Countess doesn’t approve of your association, she’s not worthy—"

Before the girl could finish, Kane suddenly grabbed her arm and yanked her powerfully outward, "I make my own decisions, I don’t need your interference. Go back to your country now, I’m taking you to the airport right away!"

"I won’t! Not unless you co with ! Kane... ah, you’re hurting !"

The two of them struggled as they left the shop, Alia watched, her heart filled with mixed emotions.

She always felt that Kane was venting his dissatisfaction, anger, sadness, and disappointnt towards her on Betty.

The store was still open for business, and such a scene had so custors peeking in but quickly leaving.

Alia blinked to adjust her emotions silently and then turned to instruct the staff, "Go on with your work, I don’t want to hear any rumors about today’s events."

Each staff mber nodded and quickly dispersed.

Alia didn’t even look at Christopher, finishing her instructions and walking away.

But Christopher’s thick-skinned nature wasn’t new; regardless of the woman ignoring him, he brazenly followed her.

Just as Alia reached the door, her wrist was suddenly tightened and clamped by the man.

Alia instinctively resisted, "Christopher Hart, what are you doing? Let go!"

"Co with !" The man refused, his expression slightly stern as he dragged her towards a café next to the mall.

Alia sat down angrily.

Christopher glanced at her, then silently turned towards the service counter.

When he returned, he was holding an ice pack wrapped in a clean white towel.

"Apply this for a while." Walking to her side, he actively placed the ice bag on her.

But Alia wasn’t appreciative, and with a slap and a twist of her body, she turned back and glared at him, "What are you pretending for now? Didn’t you cause that woman to co here?!"

The man’s lips tightened, and he remained silent.

Truth be told, he regretted it a bit.

Benny Palr, that guy, was too unreliable!

But no matter how regretful or annoyed he was, it was of no use now. Seeing the red mark on the woman’s fair cheek only made it more glaring, so he forcefully sat down next to her.

"Christopher Hart, what are you doing!"

The woman, squeezed uncomfortably, was extrely irritated, stood to leave, but he pulled her back, "Co back!"

Grabbing her into his arms and restraining her, the man firmly, and with determination, applied the ice pack to her bruised cheek.

Alia shivered from the cold.

"Does it hurt?" the man imdiately asked.
