Late at night, eleven o'clock.

A passionate face-off ca to an end.

Alia Garcia's eyes were tightly shut, fine sweat still on her forehead, as she swallowed and spoke up, "The three-year agreent is up, let's get a divorce."

Beside the bed, the man who was getting up to wash paused, turning his head to stare at her, "What?"

"I said divorce." The woman opened her eyes to et his dark gaze, "You are now fully in control of Seal-Cloud Corporation, successfully inheriting everything from the Hart Family, why keep trapped any longer?"

Christopher Hart sneered, "You sure think highly of yourself!"

"So, when shall we go to the Civil Affairs Bureau?"

The man did not speak, simply getting up, his perfect broad-shouldered and narrow-hipped figure dripping with seductive sweat, the potent scent of his hormones intoxicating.

He didn't head towards the bathroom but instead slamd the door heavily as he left.

Alia clutched the blankets tightly, and it took a while before she slowly relaxed.

Her head still spinning, she closed her eyes again, the man's handso and profound features surfaced in her mind, lingering incessantly.

For three years, except for the tis when she had to fulfill her marital duties and could feel this man's presence, he ignored her at all other tis.

They had once been childhood sweethearts, innocent and carefree, but later beca strangers due to a misunderstanding, yet they had to share a bed as husband and wife—God knows how she survived those thousand-plus nights and days!

Now, the term was up, her penance was complete, and she had to break free from this cage to start a new life.

---

Three days later, at the Civil Affairs Bureau entrance.

Alia Garcia's slender figure looked even more fragile in the cold wind, having waited a full day until the Civil Affairs Bureau was about to close, she finally saw the familiar black Bentley leisurely approaching.

"I thought you'd stand up," she murmured with a twisted mouth as the tall and slim man approached.

Christopher Hart pressed his lips together and raised his hand slightly, prompting the lawyer standing behind him to step forward.

"Madam, this is the property President Hart has provided for you. You just need to sign here," the lawyer approached respectfully, producing docunts.

Alia glanced at them, noticing luxury houses, cars, and cash.

Quite generous.

"Putting aside the matter of you framing Wendy, after all with your cooperation, I was able to get everything from the Hart Family. Besides, having slept with you for three years, this compensation is deserved," Christopher Hart spoke with lip corners turning up, colder than the chilling wind.

Alia frowned slightly, her cheeks flushing with color. Regarding that misunderstanding, she had no more energy to argue.

The lawyer next to them cleared his throat awkwardly.

Originally, she didn't want this money, for dignity was worth more than cash.

But after hearing his an words, Alia suddenly changed her mind.

"You're right, serving Young Master Hart diligently for three years warrants so compensation," Alia said, snatching the docunts and flipping through them carelessly, "But surely, these assets are a drop in the ocean for you? I didn't expect the president of the wealthy Seal-Cloud Corporation to be as stingy as Eugénie Grandet."

With that, Alia tucked the docunts away and turned to go up the steps, "Quick, let's not keep them from closing up."

The man's lips tightened, his gaze darkening.

The lawyer, watching his boss's expression, didn't dare to breathe too hard.

They were the last couple to get divorced for the day, and the proceedings were quickly finished.

Alia looked at the divorce certificate, reflecting on her three years of marriage as though it were an illusory dream.

Stepping out of the Civil Affairs Bureau, she was about to turn around and say so kind of farewell, but the man walked straight down the steps, not looking back.

As the luxury car drove off, she saw a woman in the passenger seat, smiling triumphantly at her.

Lily Garcia.

It must have been hard for her, to have waited three years, scheming vigilantly by Christopher Hart's side.

Her phone rang, bringing her out of her thoughts. It was the hospital.

She quickly answered, "Hello, Dr. Lewis... my grandmother... What? Okay, I'll be right there to the hospital! Please, do everything you can to save her!"

After the call, Alia hailed a cab and rushed to the hospital.

But she was just a step too late.

By the ti she arrived in a hurry outside the operating room, she encountered her grandmother being wheeled out, covered with a white cloth.

"Miss Garcia, I'm sorry, we did all we could. The elderly lady was of advanced age, with multiple organ failure, it was really—" The head doctor bowed apologetically.

Alia didn't speak, just moved forward in a daze to draw back the white cloth.

Seeing her grandmother's wan, frozen face, a sudden great sorrow overwheld her.

The last of her relatives in this world had left her.

"Miss Garcia, please, take care of yourself... Miss Garcia? Miss Garcia!" The dical staff saw her sway and imdiately reached out to support her, but before they could finish their words of comfort, Alia Garcia's vision went dark, and she collapsed.

When she woke again, she was lying in the hospital bed.

"You're awake?" A nurse noticed her opening her eyes and frowned, "You're pregnant, where's your family? They should be taking care of you."

Pregnant?!

Alia doubted her ears.

For three years, she had been ticulously taking birth control pills, how could she be pregnant?

And on the very day she divorced Christopher Hart!

"Nurse, could there be... a mistake?" she asked with difficulty.

"There's no mistake, if you don't want to keep it, better to have an abortion early, it's less harmful to your body," discerning she might not want the child, the nurse advised kindly.

Alia didn't respond, remaining silent for a long while, then picked up her phone to make a call.

Her mother had died years before, her father was beguiled by Fox Spirit, not caring whether she lived or died, and the grandmother who loved her most had passed away today—

She was all alone.

Yet, at this mont, heaven sent her a child.

How could she not want it!

---

Eight months later.

The feeble wailing of an infant pierced the quiet night.

Alia Garcia gave birth to triplets by natural delivery!

Holding the smallest among them, the doctor approached the utterly exhausted mother, "Miss Garcia, this infant weighs only 1000 grams, with underdeveloped lungs, we must place them in an incubator right away, and I'm afraid the dical costs will be astronomical..."

Multiples, premature birth, complications...

Each of her three babies was a piece of her flesh and blood she couldn't bear to part with, but to save their lives, she had to make a heartbreaking decision.

"Doctor, please, make this call—he can save the children..."
