Diana was stunned, not anticipating the dark energy to be so powerful.

Finn panicked; he was now relying on Owen to complete their mission.

Having witnessed Owen’s prowess, he was just timid, not foolish.

Such a misfortune befalling a powerful ally like Owen would be a lifelong regret for him.

"What’s happening? No matter, let’s stop the bleeding first," he said, more frantic than Diana.

"What do we do? How do we handle this?" Finn was flustered and at a loss.

Owen waved his hand, frowning as he channeled his arcanergy to control the wound and prevent the blood from spilling.

However, the dark energy continued to eat away at his body, as if intending to completely bore through his abdon.

Diana, deep in thought, finally said,

"I understand now. The life potion only repaired the physical wound but didn’t have the power to dispel the dark energy. That’s why your wound burst open again."

"What should I do then?" Owen pondered his own counterasures while also asking aloud.

"I don’t know, perhaps the healing light of the angel race is needed. They are the best at dispelling dark energy," Diana responded actively.

Owen squinted his eyes, smiling wryly, "When I killed mbers of the angel race, you were there, weren’t you? How could the angel race possibly save ?"

He had just tried using the Gold Divine Dragon’s holy light to dispel the dark energy, but it had no effect.

The Gold Divine Dragon’s holy light was more of an offensive type.

If he tried to use it to dispel the dark energy, the light would likely pierce right through his abdon.

The through-and-through wound from his chest to his waist was a severe injury, even Owen couldn’t bear it.

"Hmm... maybe Headmaster Kendo has a solution," Finn suggested from the side.

"I have no choice but to seek Headmaster Kendo’s help," Owen resignedly covered his wound.

Diana’s brows were tightly furrowed, out of ideas.

Charlie, standing at the back of the group, murmured in awe,

"Mr. Owen’s strength is incredible. And facing the threat of dark energy without a hint of panic, such calm and rationality in a perfect man... it’s utterly fascinating."

The other mbers of the guard squad got goosebumps hearing this, subtly distancing themselves from Charlie.

"Does Charlie like n?"

"I don’t know, he’s never had a girlfriend."

"No wonder."

Hughes, feeling a flare of annoyance, hissed, "Shut up, all of you."

He gazed deeply at Owen, a sense of admiration surfacing in his heart.

"Could it be that I also like n?" Hughes shook his head, dismissing the absurd thought.

Finn bowed slightly towards Owen, extrely emotional:

"Mr. Owen, words cannot express my gratitude. You risked your life and shed blood for my mission, treating your own life as if it were nothing..."

"I... I really don’t know what to say. I will definitely show my gratitude through my actions."

"?"

A question mark popped up in the minds of the guard squad mbers.

"Why does that sound so ambiguous?"

"Could it be that His Highness the Prince also likes n?"

"Damn, no wonder His Highness has never shown interest in won. That’s the reason."

Hughes’s eye twitched frantically as he again scolded, "Speaking behind His Highness’s back, you sure are bold."

The guard squad mbers fell silent.

Hughes, stroking his chin, felt the roughness of his stubble: "I wonder if I could catch His Highness’s eye."

The mont this thought crossed his mind, Hughes hastily shook his head: "I need to distance myself from these idiots. They’re warping my thoughts."

Owen, donning a new robe, looked around the temple again.

A swirl of black mist appeared abruptly, perating the air.

As the mist thickened, a colossal figure erged from within.

The giant reappeared, towering and formidable, like a mountainous presence.

His bulging muscles exuded endless strength.

Owen and the others stepped back in fear.

"The giant who just fought Mr. Owen has reappeared?"

Finn’s legs trembled uncontrollably, as if an imnse force was pulling him to flee outside.

Diana’s pretty eyes also widened, and she took a few steps back: "Sothing’s not right here. This is strange."

Owen stood in front of everyone, his expression calm, analyzing carefully:

"The situation was already bizarre. I defeated the giant with an arcana, he should have left a corpse. But he dissipated into black mist, which is already against common sense. Now the mist has returned, and he reappears."

"This isn’t just strange, I suspect there’s so secret behind this."

Finn, red-faced with urgency, tugged at Owen’s robe:

"Mr. Owen, this isn’t the ti for that, we should leave. You are unwell, it’s not suitable to fight now."

Hughes stepped forward, agreeing: "Mr. Owen, His Highness makes a good point."

Charlie, not to be outdone, spoke up with a red face and thick neck: "Hmph, Mr. Owen defeated the giant once, he can do it again. What are you afraid of?"

Finn felt like ripping a brick from the wall and hurling it at Charlie’s head.

’Are you really that brainless?’

Despite all the discussion, the giant remained motionless.

Owen’s eyes slightly lit up, and he walked up to the giant.

Unlike before, the giant now knelt in the direction of the throne.

His head, once held high in pride, was now lowered in devotion, his expression one of a faithful and loyal servant.

This scene astounded everyone, as the giant had previously fought Owen on equal footing but now appeared so humble and submissive.

If not for the imposing giant axe on his back, they wouldn’t believe this was the sa giant who had battled Owen.

Seeing the giant indeed motionless, Finn grew bolder.

He reached out to touch the giant’s body: "Cold, no warmth at all." He turned around, extending his hand in amazent.

Owen stepped past Finn and looked at the giant.

A drastic change occurred when Finn touched it.

As Finn’s fingertips grazed the giant’s skin, the flesh began to transform.

Driven by a mysterious force, it rapidly lted into a form resembling windblown sand.

Even the giant axe couldn’t resist, dissolving into flying sandy layers.

Owen inwardly lanted: "That axe was a fine weapon."

The flesh vanished from the giant’s body, leaving only a skeleton that remained kneeling on the ground, head bowed low.

"Why are you looking at like that?" Finn, seeing everyone’s expressions, leaned back slightly with a surprised look and scoffed disdainfully, "You’re all too timid."

He turned his head, and where the giant had been, only a white, unnerving skeleton remained.

"Ah--"

Finn leaped back, swiftly taking cover behind Owen.

"What’s happening? What’s going on? How did it turn into this?"

Owen ignored Finn and slowly walked over to the skeleton, focusing on the throne to which it was kneeling.

He approached the throne and cautiously touched various parts of it.

Suddenly, a clicking sound was heard, and the base of the throne started to collapse.

Owen didn’t panic; he just stepped back slightly and activated his arcanergy, realizing this might be the trigger of so hidden chanism, which could potentially contain traps.

As the throne collapsed, a small pedestal rose from the ground.

The pedestal, ancient and mysterious, held an irregularly shaped gemstone that shimred with dreamlike colors.

It exhibited a unique hue, blending the blue of the sky with the orange of the sunset, resembling a beautiful dusk.

The surface of the gemstone was smooth and transparent, twinkling with a faint light, emitting a mysterious and enticing aura.

The Dreamscape Stone, Owen had never seen it before, but he was sure of it.

Owen’s eyes slightly brightened, surprised to find the Dreamscape Stone hidden here.

Diana quickly walked up to him, admiring the stone that radiated colors like a dream,

"The Dreamscape Stone, I didn’t expect it to be hidden here. It’s really beautiful!"

Finn followed excitedly, "Hahaha, Mr. Owen, you are indeed amazing. I am the first person to obtain the Dreamscape Stone."

Owen, uninterested, shrugged his shoulders, allowing Finn to take the Dreamscape Stone.

His mission was to help Finn obtain it. Naturally, he couldn’t go back on his word; building a good reputation required gradual accumulation.

"Clap, clap, clap--" Applause and footsteps ca from outside the temple.

Everyone turned to see Chrisman and Oliver walking in, smiles on their faces.

"Little brother, you’re really impressive. To think you could get the Dreamscape Stone," Chrisman said warmly, his smile like sunshine, seemingly celebrating for Finn.

A cold glint flashed in Finn’s eyes, but he squeezed out a smile, "Big brother, you’re joking. I was just lucky."

"It’s not luck, it’s strength," Oliver coldly agreed, his expression not one of happiness for Finn.

Finn knew they shouldn’t stay long and chuckled, "Big brother, little brother, it’s getting late, let’s head back."

Chrisman made a sound of acknowledgent, "Finn, you’re too hasty. How about we make a deal?"
