Upon hearing that she would apply to Z University, Jiang Zhiyi instantly beca happy again.
Although that girl kept making excuses, she still chose Z University.
Just like how she said she wanted to break up but still transferred to Jiu Middle School—it showed that he still held a place in her heart.
Even if she didn’t forgive him now, it didn’t matter; he could wait.
Jiang Zhiyi suppressed the joy in his heart and carefully asked her, "So the thing you said earlier about us still being able to act like friends, does that still count?"
Shen Weiyi glanced at him, feeling that he might have really misunderstood sothing since she had clearly stated they should be strangers before.
Seeing her frown, Jiang Zhiyi hurriedly added, "We’ve known each other for so long—even after breaking up, we can still continue being friends, or you can continue to treat like a younger brother, just don’t treat like a stranger. Yao Yao, even if I did sothing wrong, please, for the sake of our childhood together, can’t you not completely cut off? Are you really so heartless that you plan to never deal with again?"
Jiang Zhiyi looked at her with his moist peach blossom eyes.
Here it cos again, that familiar expression.
Whenever he did sothing wrong in the past, he would have that look.
He always knew she would soften her heart.
But not anymore.
Shen Weiyi calmly looked at him and said, "Suit yourself! But, we are never getting back together. Even if we beco friends again, it won’t be like before."
If he was hoping for a reunion, he might as well give up now.
Convinced that the girl still harbored feelings for him, Jiang Zhiyi certainly wasn’t going to give up just because of a few words and eagerly pulled out his cell phone, "Then, could you add my WeChat and phone number back?"
Just after he finished speaking, he saw Shen Weiyi’s phone on the table ring.
"Hello?" Shen Weiyi answered.
"It’s !" Sheng Ting’s voice ca through from the other end, "I ntioned yesterday that my mom wants to invite you to dinner, do you rember?"
"Yeah, I rember!"
"If it’s convenient, I can co pick you up now, is that okay?" Sheng Ting asked in a negotiating tone.
"Today?" Shen Weiyi was taken aback; she thought it would be later.
"Yes, my mom happens to be free today, and Little Bao has been nagging to see you," Sheng Ting sensed the hesitation in her voice and asked, "Is it inconvenient?"
"It’s not inconvenient," she was just a little surprised, "but there’s no need for you to co specially; I can take a taxi over," she said.
On the phone, Sheng Ting replied, "I’m already near your residential complex’s entrance."
"Oh, in that case, wait for at the entrance. I just happen to be nearby." After finishing her statent, she looked at Jiang Zhiyi across from her, "I have to go."
She then saw he had already opened the QR code on his phone; after hesitating for a mont, she finally opened WeChat and added him back.
Jiang Zhiyi followed her out of the tea shop and then saw that girl walk toward a black sedan that had just stopped at the entrance of the complex.
As the car passed by him, he clearly saw a strange and handso face at the driver’s seat.
His peach blossom eyes suddenly tightened.
Who was that person? What relationship did he have with that girl?
The two of them together, where were they going?
In the past, he could have asked her for clarity, but now, he didn’t even have the right to ask.
Jiang Zhiyi’s eyes involuntarily darkened; the joy of just having added her back as a friend had completely vanished.
