Jiang Zhiyi returned to the classroom feeling a great deal of annoyance.

Why hadn’t he managed to control his temper? He knew well that girl responded better to a gentle approach than a hard one.

Now, their already precarious relationship had taken another hit, and he couldn’t just go back and cajole her imdiately after spouting harsh words.

Did he look like soone who had no pride?

Though pride wasn’t as important as his wife, even a clay figurine has a little spark of temper; he couldn’t bring himself to repeatedly offer his face to be slapped by others.

At least, he couldn’t do it now.

At noon, Shen Weiyi and Qin Zhen went to the cafeteria for lunch.

They spotted Jiang Zhiyi from a mile away, chatting animatedly with a group of girls.

"What’s the situation?" Qin Zhen turned to look at Shen Weiyi.

Shen Weiyi glanced over and quickly averted her gaze.

She wasn’t surprised at all.

It was just a tactic often used by the other party.

Qin Zhen thought it through after a few monts and couldn’t help but admire soone’s clever maneuvering.

"So, are we still going to eat?" she asked Shen Weiyi.

"Eat, of course! Why wouldn’t we?" Shen Weiyi acted as if she hadn’t seen anything and calmly joined the queue to get food.

Qin Zhen: Okay then, both of them are tough cookies.

It was she who was making a mountain out of a molehill!

Jiang Zhiyi saw that girl remain indifferent, and he was inwardly seething. In the evening, when Shen Weiyi and Qin Zhen encountered him again in the cafeteria, he was still surrounded by two girls.

Even during the al, he sat with those two girls.

Finally, even Qin Zhen couldn’t stand it any longer and hinted at Jiang Zhiyi: "Aren’t you planning to do sothing about it? If this keeps up, your ex-boyfriend is really going to beco soone else’s."

Shen Weiyi looked over once more then pulled her gaze back: "He’s not a three-year-old child; doesn’t he know what he’s doing?" Moreover, what right did she, an ex-girlfriend who had already broken up with him, have to intervene?

With that, she walked straight to the window to get food, without sparing another glance in that direction.

Qin Zhen looked toward where Jiang Zhiyi was and silently lit a candle for the man seemingly determined to court disaster.

She had a premonition that soone was essentially plotting his own demise.

The next day, and the day after that...

Jiang Zhiyi didn’t see Shen Weiyi in the cafeteria again.

Seeing his restless deanor, Gu Xun reminded him: "Stop looking. I just saw Shen heading toward the school gate, probably went out to eat. You could’ve just apologized nicely and ended it all, but you had to make a scene. Now you’ve really offended her."

"Yeah, Brother Yi, why do I feel like you’re just playing with fire and burning yourself?" Li Yue also nodded in agreent, "It looks to like your plan is totally futile as she’s not even responding. If all else fails, you might as well just kneel down and apologize to the little fairy."

"Alright, what would you two lifelong singles know?" Jiang Zhiyi glared at them with a dark expression.

Gu Xun and Li Yue exchanged glances: "You’re right, we don’t understand. We’ll just wait to see the spectacle of soone’s attempt to win his wife end up in flas."

Jiang Zhiyi: ...Shut up!

For the next several days, Jiang Zhiyi made it a point to get to the platform early, but still didn’t encounter that girl, and even when he ran to the staircase entrance a few minutes before the evening study session, he didn’t see her.

Later, he found out after asking around that the girl had applied to be exempted from the evening study session.

They lived in the sa neighborhood and their classrooms were on the sa floor, yet she managed to avoid him completely.

Jiang Zhiyi grew increasingly irritable.

anwhile, only a few days had passed since they broke up, and Shen Weiyi noticed that people were looking at her with strange expressions again.
