The boy quickly squeezed out a smile, "It’s okay. Even if we didn’t know each other before, it’s not too late to get to know each other now. My na is Zhao Mingchen. We are in the sa class. Oh, I added you on WeChat before, but you never accepted my request."
"Sorry about that."
Only then did Shen Weiyi rember that he did look sowhat familiar. She usually didn’t pay much attention to the boys in her class, so even though it had been nearly a month since military training, she still hadn’t recognized everyone.
"It’s okay!" Zhao Mingchen smiled shyly.
He knew there were many outstanding boys around her, so it was normal for her not to notice him, but being a beautiful girl like her, he couldn’t help wanting to get closer.
Shen Weiyi generally only added people she knew on WeChat. She usually ignored requests from strangers.
However, since he had ntioned it, Shen Weiyi reluctantly pulled out her phone, found his friend request, and clicked accept, "Alright, I’ve just added you."
The boy’s eyes lit up uncontrollably, and he imdiately pulled out his phone to confirm, indeed, he found an additional person on his WeChat.
Zhao Mingchen held his phone and chuckled for a while before raising his head to look at Shen Weiyi, "So, are you heading back to the dorm? I’m going back too; maybe we could walk together?"
The male dormitory area at Z University was adjacent to the female dormitory area, both in the sa area but different buildings.
Shen Weiyi nodded her head, not refusing, as they were heading in the sa direction anyway. It would seem too deliberate to refuse.
The boy’s eyes brightened again.
The two then walked together toward the dormitories.
Along the way, Zhao Mingchen asked her several questions about recent academics, a topic that Shen Weiyi was still happy to discuss with him.
They soon reached the male dormitory area, but he still seed reluctant to part.
"You seem to be at your place," Shen Weiyi reminded him.
"Ah? Oh!" He suddenly stopped and said, "Then, goodbye, Weiyi."
Shen Weiyi nodded her head, starting to leave when suddenly he called out to her, "Weiyi."
Shen Weiyi turned around.
Zhao Mingchen, his face red, looked at her, "Can I send you ssages?" Before Shen Weiyi could speak, he hastily added, "Don’t get wrong. It’s not spam. I see you study really hard, and I was wondering if we could discuss study-related questions via ssages in the future?"
Shen Weiyi responded delicately, "Actually, my scores aren’t that good." If he was just looking for soone to discuss academics with, perhaps soone else would be more suitable.
"It’s okay," he hurriedly said, "We can discuss and improve together."
By now, if Shen Weiyi couldn’t see what he was implying, she would truly be playing dumb.
"Sorry, it’s not very convenient for !" she said.
"Well, that’s okay then!" His eyes couldn’t help but grow dim, and his expression visibly beca disappointed.
She had rejected him again.
Shen Weiyi nodded at him, then turned and continued walking toward the girls’ dormitory.
She hadn’t taken many steps when suddenly a hand reached out from behind and grabbed her wrist. Before Shen Weiyi could react, she was pulled to the side.
Shen Weiyi instinctively wanted to retaliate but stopped when she clearly saw who it was.
