Sheng Ting directly reached out and picked Little Douding up from Shen Weiyi’s embrace.
Little Douding was being held by the collar of his clothes, his short arms and legs flailing in mid-air like a little turtle that had been flipped onto its back. As he struggled, he said, "Dingding, you big bully, let’s see if you dare to let go."
Sheng Ting kept a straight face, ignoring his words, and slapped his little bottom saying, "Behave."
Little Douding imdiately covered his bottom, his face turning red with strain as he glared and said, "Dingding, you’re shaless, picking on soone smaller."
Sheng Ting replied, "Yep, I’m bullying you!"
Little Douding opened his mouth but for a mont didn’t know what to say, and anger turned his eyes red.
Sheng Ting, with a stern face and serious expression, said, "Did you forget sothing again?"
Little Douding’s eyes widened, then he rembered sothing, his mouth puckered guiltily, and his little head drooped dispiritedly.
He had forgotten that Yiyi’s hand was injured.
Sheng Ting then set him down.
Once Little Douding’s feet touched the ground, he buried his head into the sofa nearby like an ostrich, butt in the air.
Wuu wuu wuu, Little Bao’s face was completely lost!
"Why are you still bullying kids?" Shen Weiyi laughed as she watched the brothers who were over a decade apart in age.
She comforted Little Douding while playfully scolding Sheng Ting.
Inside, she felt both regret and envy.
She had never experienced the joy of hitting a younger brother.
Shen Weiyi finally managed to soothe Little Douding and took him out to play in the yard.
The little fellow turned around and imdiately forgot the embarrassing incident, proudly dragging Shen Weiyi to show her his secret base, a newly constructed small hut filled with his treasures.
Not only did Little Douding love it, but she couldn’t help wanting it too.
Next ti, I wouldn’t suggest giving such things to kids, because she didn’t have them when she was little.
After showing her his secret base, Little Douding stayed inside, playing happily on his own.
Sheng Ting didn’t know when he had also co outside.
"Is that soup made by you?" Shen Weiyi heard footsteps and turned around.
"No." Under her gaze, Sheng Ting slowly said, "I just found a wellness soup place and had them prepare it in the morning to be delivered."
"You... you don’t have to be so nice to !"
Sheng Ting looked at her and said, "Don’t feel pressured, I just hope your hand heals quickly."
Shen Weiyi was about to say sothing when she heard Situ Jing’s voice, "Dinner’s ready, co in."
"Let’s eat first," Sheng Ting suggested.
Shen Weiyi had no choice but to swallow the words she was about to say.
After lunch, Shen Weiyi played with Sheng Yan for a while with his toys and then planned to leave. Sheng Yan clung to her leg, wishing he could beco an accessory attached to her leg forever.
Shen Weiyi promised to visit him again next holiday before she finally managed to convince him to let her go.
As she prepared to leave, she saw Sheng Ting co out too, picking up the car keys from the cabinet at the entrance and saying, "I’ll drive you."
"There’s no need to trouble you; I can just take a taxi. It’s quite convenient," Shen Weiyi said.
Sheng Ting replied, "It’s no trouble. I need to go out and buy so stuff anyway. I can drop you off on my way."
Since he had even prepared a reason to take her back, Shen Weiyi found it difficult to refuse.
In the car, Shen Weiyi glanced at him several tis, hesitating to speak.
"Do you have sothing you want to say?" Sheng Ting turned his head and asked her.
