Ling Xuejiu was still fuming when she heard the comnt and replied irritably, "What’s it to you?" But she still turned her head to look, and sure enough, Leng Xuan’s figure was nowhere to be seen behind her. She felt strangely uncomfortable and pouted her lips.
"Weird, he was just here! How did he disappear in the blink of an eye?" Li ngjie said in confusion, "Did he get angry and walk away on his own?"
Upon hearing this, Ling Xuejiu’s temper flared, "Him, angry? What does he have to be angry about? He’s the one who’s mad at , isn’t he?"
"Hehe, let’s go back and check on him, shall we?" Li ngjie suggested.
"I’m not going!" Ling Xuejiu pouted slightly, then added, "Or you go check on him?"
"Ah..." Li ngjie stuck out her tongue and said, "Okay then, I’ll ask the waiter we saw earlier; he might know where Leng Xuan went." With that, she walked over to the Armani Store, and when she found the waiter they had seen before, he was waiting outside a fitting room. She approached and asked, "Excuse , do you know where the handso guy who ca with us went?"
The waiter, seemingly more disciplined, smiled professionally and said, "He’s inside trying on clothes!"
Li ngjie was taken aback for a mont, then let out a weird laugh and said, "Oh, I see. Here, take this card. After you’ve charged it, give it to him directly." She pulled out a card from her bag, handed it to the waiter, and walked away, worried that Ling Xuejiu might be growing impatient by herself!
The waiter was truly puzzled. Just what kind of person was Leng Xuan, having two gorgeous and wealthy young ladies eager to pay for him? He had just been belittling Leng Xuan, and now he found himself imnsely impressed!
Ling Xuejiu saw Li ngjie returning alone from a distance, and couldn’t help but curl her lip, thinking, ’Well done, Leng Xuan, throwing such a petty fit like that. And you’re a man, for heaven’s sake. Aren’t you embarrassed?’ But where could he have gone in this huge mall? What if he got lost? The thought made her inexplicably worried about Leng Xuan again, feeling she might have gone a bit too far earlier. She had promised to buy him clothes, and then abruptly changed her mind—how awkward for soone!
"Xiao Jie, you didn’t see him?" Ling Xuejiu asked with so annoyance.
"Nope!" Li ngjie giggled, "I can’t see through walls to the fitting room, can I?"
"Oh, then, shall we go look for him?" Ling Xuejiu suggested.
"No need!" Li ngjie replied, "I’ve already called him and told him we’re waiting here!"
Ling Xuejiu said with an air of toughness, "You have his phone number? Give it to . I won’t calm down until I give him a piece of my mind. A grown man, acting so petty..."
"Ah..." Li ngjie looked troubled because she didn’t actually have Leng Xuan’s number. She had rely wanted to surprise Ling Xuejiu, which is why she didn’t ntion that Leng Xuan was trying on clothes. Luckily, being quick-witted as she was, telling a little white lie was a piece of cake for her. She quickly said, "But what if you scold him over the phone and he decides not to co? What then?"
"Er?" Ling Xuejiu genuinely felt a little concerned and pouted, "Hmph! Fine, I’ll deal with it when I see him in person..."
A few minutes later, Ling Xuejiu was becoming sowhat impatient when she suddenly saw a figure in a white shirt with slightly rolled sleeves and black slim-fit trousers below, making him look tall and sharp, uncommonly handso as if he had stepped out of a cartoon, walking step by step in her direction.
