When Peter woke up the next day, he had a splitting headache.

He thought carefully about what had happened last night and still couldn’t rember if he had let it slip.

He got out of bed, washed up, and went out the door. He saw his parents eating breakfast downstairs, so he went downstairs and looked tentatively at Justin, but his father didn’t even look at him and was just eating.

Instead, it was Nora who said, "Eat sothing. Your stomach will feel better."

Seeing that his father was fine, Peter heaved a sigh of relief.

At least he hadn’t found out the truth. That was great.

Peter went to the dining table and had a bowl of porridge.

Only then did Nora say, "Pete, what exactly did you want to ask yesterday?"

Peter paused for a mont. "Nothing."

Nora sighed. "Our son has grown up. He doesn’t want to share secrets with anymore. I rember, when you were five years old, you liked to sleep with the most. You liked to tell whatever was on your mind."

Peter’s autism when he was young was caused by a lack of maternal love.

Therefore, after finding his mother, he always wanted to be with Nora. Only by being with her would he feel safe. After so many years, he had let go of that personality.

He had chosen to inherit the Hunts and stay in New York to protect his parents.

Nora’s words made him blush slightly and he smiled. "Mom, I’ve grown up."

"Alright, don’t say it if you don’t want to."

Nora didn’t insist.

Peter glanced at Justin again. Just as he stood up and was about to leave, Justin suddenly said, "Pete, co with to the Smiths’ house later."

The Smiths?

Peter’s heart skipped a beat.

He clenched his jaw. He had a vague feeling that his father knew sothing.

He imdiately lowered his head.

However, Justin didn’t care about his thoughts. He just stood up and led Peter out.

Nora looked at the back of the father and son and frowned in confusion.

Peter drove while Justin sat in the backseat.

Neither of them spoke along the way.

When they were almost at the door of the Smiths’ house, Peter suddenly said, "Dad, I understand."

Justin was slightly stunned. "What do you understand?"

"I understand that love isn’t everything in life. So things are more important than love. Like family."

If he and Mia insisted on being together, they had to go far away, leave this place, and find a place where no one knew them.

But he didn’t want to, and neither did Mia.

When Justin heard this, he raised his eyebrows and glanced at his son. He smiled and said, "Sotis, you’re too honest."

Peter: "?"

In the business world, he was called the Little Fox just because he never played according to common sense, but now his father said that he was too honest?

Peter didn’t retort.

The two of them arrived at the Smiths’ house very quickly and happened to see Mia about to go out. The three of them t and Mia looked at Justin and shouted, "Uncle."

Justin glanced at her and then at Peter. He nodded. "I’ll go in and et your father first."

After Justin left, Peter and Mia looked at each other.

Neither of them knew how to speak for a mont.

Peter tried to find a topic to talk about first. "It’s the weekend, right? Are you going to school?"

Mia nodded, then suddenly mustered her courage and wanted to try one last ti. "Pete, I’ve arranged a date to et Senior today..."
