Mortem stood atop a small rise, his dark eyes watching the battlefield unfold. The battle between the Earth Drake and the enormous Emperor Boar was already underway. The air crackled with tension as heavy-armored soldiers clashed with Canna's forces. Mortem, Canna's firstborn and leader of the undead legions, analyzed the scene with calm detachnt. His gaze swept over the advancing enemy, and he quickly assessed their strength.

There were five disaster ranks among the sanctuary's forces, but on the opposing side, Mortem counted at least nine saints, each glowing with the potent energy that marked their strength. The armored soldiers bore insignias, their logos depicting a silver boar, tusks raised high in defiance against a crescent moon, marking them as soldiers of a formidable empire.

These were no ordinary troops.

The Earth Drake, with its gargantuan form, roared ferociously as it traded blows with the Emperor Boar, a creature of imnse size, nearly 200 feet tall with tusks as large as buildings. The grey fur of the boar rippled with every movent, its hide absorbing the impact of the Earth Drake's strikes. Both colossal beasts locked in combat, shaking the very ground beneath them with their sheer power. Dust rose in thick clouds, swirling around them as they clashed, their roars echoing through the marsh.

Mortem could also discern the humans underneath the enemy's armor. Their movents, their stances—there was no mistaking the species of their attackers. He glanced above and saw the mysterious figure that had appeared earlier—an armored man watching from the sky. What troubled Mortem the most, however, was that not only could he not feel the man's presence, but this figure also seed to be able to cloak his true power entirely.

Mortem narrowed his eyes as he scanned the battlefield further. The saints from the enemy ranks had begun surrounding Canna's guardians, preparing to launch an assault. Tension mounted.

Then, from sowhere amidst the chaos, a loud, determined voice bood through the battlefield. "For the Empire of Talan! Push forward! Destroy them all!"

The call to arms sent shivers through Mortem's spine, though he smiled darkly. The battlefield responded to the call instantly as more soldiers poured into the fray, their armor gleaming under the dull marsh light. Horses charged forward, their riders casting spells that lit up the sky, creating a symphony of chaos.

It was clear now—this force had planned to hunt the Earth Drake for so ti. The boar was part of a calculated strategy, and Canna's appearance, coincidental as it was, had forced the enemy to accelerate their assault.

Suddenly, Canna's voice rang in Mortem's mind. "Mortem, alert the sanctuary. Push them back."

Mortem's grin widened. "If it's a fight they want, it's a fight they will get," he muttered to himself, his eyes gleaming with excitent. "And the sanctuary... well, we've been itching for a good fight."

Back in the sanctuary, Noctis had already given the command. The portals were being prepared, and the entire sanctuary was gearing up for war. The shock troops, clad in their sleek white armor with silver designs, were suiting up, weapons in hand. Warriors and soldiers, both new and seasoned, prepared for battle.

The minotaurs were among the first to arm themselves, strapping on shoulder pads lined with sharp spikes. Their enormous axes and warhamrs glead under the sanctuary's bright light. The dark elves adjusted their newly enhanced armor, each piece specifically designed to accommodate both stealth and power. Their weapons—swords, daggers, and bows—were all finely crafted for maximum precision.

In the distance, the wyverns stretched their wings, preparing for battle alongside the direwolves. Even the air buzzed with anticipation.

Elandra, Canna's right hand, stood at the front lines, her presence commanding. She looked out at the warriors gathering in neat, formidable lines. At her side were Terrorfang, the massive flaming gorilla-like beast, Aurelis, the golden lion of light, and the hydra Stormrend. Each one raring to go.

"Your mission is simple!" Elandra's voice echoed, carrying over the throngs of warriors. "Kill all you see! The location is the marshlands—it's infested with monsters. Kill all those who bear their fangs against you, all those who wear armor! Crush them, tear them apart, leave no one standing!" Enjoy new adventures from My Virtual Library Empire

The warriors roared in unison, their war cries shaking the very ground beneath them. The air was thick with anticipation as the portal to the battlefield began to hum with energy.

Monts later, the portal opened.

As soon as the sanctuary's warriors spilled into the battlefield, a collective roar erupted from the marshlands. Their white robes fluttered in the wind as they stord forward, and imdiately, they clashed with the Empire of Talan's forces. The clash was brutal and swift—no rcy was given.

The air was filled with the sounds of battle as swords t shields, arrows soared through the air, and magic crackled with explosive force. The griffins that had once ruled the skies thought they were safe, but their leader barely had ti to react as Tushar, leading a formation of wyverns, descended upon them. His icy breath coated the lead griffin's feathers, forcing it into a sharp turn. The other wyverns followed suit, attacking in perfect formation, bringing down the Empire's air support one by one.

On the ground, the Empire's knights charged on horseback, but they were no match for the sanctuary's direwolf-mounted troops. The direwolves, larger than the horses, crashed into the knights, their riders slashing through armor with deadly precision.

Terrorfang pounded his chest, his fiery fra crashing into the Emperor Boar alongside the Earth Drake. His flaming fist left a scorching mark on the boar's skin, but the boar retaliated with a deafening roar. Aurelis, with his blinding light, used a skill to temporarily blind the boar, giving Terrorfang another opening to land another devastating hit.

Amid the chaos, the armored figure fighting Canna growled audibly, irritated by how quickly the tide had turned. With a swift, heavy swing of his weapon, he forced Canna to give him space, buying himself a mont. "Retreat! NOW!" the man bellowed.

The retreat was imdiate, but it was already too late. The Empire's forces were being torn apart. Minotaurs swung their axes with terrifying strength, cleaving through armor. Dark elves moved with lethal grace, their blades slitting throats and cutting down fleeing soldiers. Light elves rained down destructive magic, bombarding the Empire's lines with spells.

The Emperor Boar, though powerful, was being zoned out by the combined might of Terrorfang, Aurelis, and Tushar. In the sky, wyverns dominated the griffins, freezing them mid-flight and sending their riders plumting to their deaths.

What had begun as a confident assault from the Empire quickly turned into a full-blown nightmare. The saints among their ranks scrambled to use their life-saving artifacts and cast defensive spells to protect their remaining forces from being utterly destroyed.

Canna's voice rang out once more, booming through the battlefield. "Stop the pursuit! Let those who flee go!"

The sanctuary warriors halted, many growling in frustration but obeying Canna's command. The remaining soldiers of the Empire stumbled away, their numbers decimated, their morale shattered.

The battle was over, and it was clear who had erged victorious. As the sanctuary warriors gathered around their leader, they cheered in triumph, while Canna watched the retreating forces, already planning his next move.
