The tension between Canna and the Earth Drake had finally settled sowhat, though the massive creature remained wary, its sharp eyes studying every move of the sanctuary leader. The drake's young, nestled in the distance, observed the exchange with their beady eyes, unaware of the weight their parent was bearing.

"Speak your terms," the Earth Drake growled, its voice a low, rumbling tremor through the earth itself.

Canna unsummoned his scythe, allowing it to dissolve into the air. "Good, we can still talk it out then," he said calmly, signaling for his subordinates to give them more space. The guardians complied, stepping back to give room, their eyes still trained on the drake and Canna, ready to leap into action if needed.

"I have a place called the Sanctuary," Canna began. "It's peaceful, a haven for those seeking refuge. But there's a particular part of the land that's barren. A place where your Earth affinity could thrive. In exchange for your help revitalizing it, I offer you and your young a ho—safety, protection, and a future."

The Earth Drake's eyes narrowed at the offer, letting out a harsh snort. "Do you think I am weak?" it hissed. "Do you think I cannot protect my young myself? What use do I have for your 'Sanctuary'?"

Canna shook his head. "No, not at all. In fact, it's because you're strong that I'm making this offer. I've already felt your power firsthand. Your strength would be an asset to the Sanctuary, not just for protecting your young, but for building a lasting ho for them. You'll no longer have to move from place to place, fighting off threats that could soday overwhelm even you. At the Sanctuary, your young can grow up strong, without the constant need for survival hanging over their heads."

The Earth Drake let out another rumbling growl, though it was clear from the shift in its tone that it was listening more intently now. "And what makes you so certain this 'Sanctuary' will last? Many places have fallen to ruin."

Canna smiled softly, his eyes calm and sure. "Because it's not just a place. It's the people within it. The unity we've built. You're strong, but even the strongest can beco stronger with allies. The Sanctuary isn't just a ho—it's a community. And with you and your young as part of it, our strength grows even more."

There was a long silence as the Earth Drake considered Canna's words. Its eyes flicked toward its young, who were quietly watching their parent. "I will not bend to serve anyone," the drake finally said.

"I'm not asking for servitude," Canna replied, his voice steady. "I'm offering a partnership. You help us, and in return, we help you. We all grow stronger together."

The Earth Drake rumbled, its gaze softening slightly as it weighed the offer. "A partnership then," it said, its voice less hostile now. "I will join your Sanctuary and bring the strength of the earth with . But harm my young, and there will be no force in your world that will stop from ending you."

Canna nodded, eting the drake's fierce gaze. "I wouldn't expect anything less."

As the conversation between Canna and the Earth Drake wrapped up, the guardians of the Sanctuary began to converse amongst themselves. Dravos, leaning against a tree with his arms crossed, glanced over at Vorgrim. "This marsh... it's filled with monsters, isn't it? You and the others fought here before, right?"

Vorgrim nodded, his tusks glinting under the dim light filtering through the marsh canopy. "Zephyros and Solara handled the disaster-ranked beings in this area. It wasn't an easy fight."

Astraeus, the towering minotaur champion, rested his massive axe on his shoulder as he listened in. "How bad was it?" he asked, looking between Zephyros and Solara.

Solara, the fierce grey wolf, let out a low growl, her glowing eyes reflecting the mory of the battle. "It was hard-fought. I took down the Queen Lamia after hours of combat. Zephyros handled the Dreadmire Behemoth."

Sygon, perched on a fallen tree nearby, chid in, "I saw that fight. The Behemoth was massive, but Zephyros took it down."

Zephyros, the dark shadow of a wolf, snorted as he prepared to speak, but then his eyes shifted upward. His deanor changed in an instant, a low growl rising from his throat. "Sothing's wrong..."

All the guardians quickly followed his gaze. A figure hovered in the sky above them, cloaked in shadows with gleaming armor that reflected no light. The man's presence was unsettling—silent, undetectable, and filled with an overwhelming sense of danger.

Canna, who had been in mid-conversation with the Earth Drake, also looked up. His brow furrowed, trying to sense the stranger's power, but there was nothing—no rank, no aura. It was as if the man in the sky was a void. The Earth Drake, too, seed unnerved.

Before Canna could react, Mortem materialized in front of him, raising a barrier just as a powerful spell hurtled toward them from the unknown man. The attack slamd into the barrier, sending ripples of energy through the air, but the shield held firm.

Then the voice ca from above—loud and filled with authority. "Charge!"

From the forest, a militia of armored soldiers surged forward, clashing imdiately with the beasts and monsters of the marsh. Above, griffins swooped down, their riders leaping into battle with Canna's guardians.

Out of nowhere, a massive, spike-covered boar burst from the trees, charging directly at the Earth Drake. The drake, caught off guard, was thrown back as the boar slamd into it with trendous force.

Chaos erupted. Canna's eyes narrowed as he summoned his scythe, its edge crackling with lightning. Without hesitation, he shot toward the armored man in the sky, moving faster than the eye could track.

"Crush them!" Canna's voice rang out through the battlefield, his command rippling across his subordinates.

Mortem imdiately unleashed waves of dark magic, weakening the militia forces. Flora summoned thick, twisting vines that snaked across the ground, ensnaring enemies and pulling them into the earth. Zephyros and Solara leaped into the fray, taking down the griffin riders one by one, while Vorgrim and Astraeus charged at the militia on the ground.
