"Of course I would know people, it’s extrely necessary that I do," Aurianna stated with a snort, her arms folded tightly across her chest.
"Yeah I know, but sotis I wish you’d prioritize as your friend," Elena chuckled, nudging Aurianna’s elbow lightly.
"No way," Aurianna said flatly.
"What?!!" Elena replied, genuinely shocked, her jaw dropping as she pointed at Aurianna as if accusing her of a cri.
"It doesn’t work like that," Aurianna added, lifting her chin stubbornly.
"Aww you’re such a anie, Aurianna," Elena pouted, crossing her arms dramatically.
Before Aurianna could answer, Vlad stepped forward, standing before the middle-aged but slightly old-looking teacher. "So, Sir Alfred, where is the Aphrot Ruin at?"
"It’s just at the land at the end of the lake," Alfred replied, adjusting his coat. "So we will be taking transportation there. I’m sure by now many other adventurers are also waiting to challenge the Ruin for themselves."
"Hmm, sir, what is the difference between a Ruin and a dungeon?" Andre asked curiously.
"Well, for a dungeon it’s only filled with monsters. The top levels have weak monsters and the deeper levels the monsters are far stronger, and you get treasures inside as a reward. What’s more, you can leave anyti you want in a dungeon." Alfred paused, looking around. His expression darkened. "However... for Ruins... what I’m about to tell you, you’re to swear to the god of light and god of peace never to tell anyone. Do you understand, students?!" His voice thundered. "Even you, sailor boy!"
"Alright," Saem nodded quickly.
"Now then, all of you raise your right hand and swear to the god of peace and light never to tell others!" Alfred commanded.
They raised their hands. A faint light gold glow reflected on their hand, it was a spell to acknowledge their promise.
"Good." Alfred exhaled slowly. "So basically, Ruins are filled with heroes. From the last part of the war, 100,000. So inside, you’ll be fighting monsters... and heroes."
Murmurs rippled through the group.
"And anyone who defeats a Ruin gets magic coins as a reward. And could even be up to 400,000 magic coins," Alfred stated.
"That amount of money can last for generations," soone whispered in shock.
"So sir, why doesn’t the world order just kill them?" Zeche asked, confused.
Alfred shook his head solemnly. "The world was already recovering from the 300,000-year war, so dealing with the heroes was extrely difficult. Unlike us, other Heroes can grow stronger in just a few years and beco extrely powerful. And since a lot of the World Order was weakened along with the Sacreds, they trapped the heroes in Ruins. Sotis even the churches try to kill the heroes. However, if they don’t defeat the hero on the 1st floor or 99th floor depending on the Ruin, all slain heroes revive. They’re trapped in a ti loop to fight everyone who cos across them, a sort of punishnt."
A cold shiver ran through the group.
"However, the Ruins are starting to crack. So the World Order wants to deal with this quickly," Alfred finished.
Everyone exchanged nervous looks, except a handful who clearly already knew.
"That’s why I wonder, Aurianna... how you managed to defeat a Ruin. Because inside that Ruin in the sea, the Bahamut Ruin had the third strongest hero in existence. And he was the first hero to kill a god." Alfred stared at Aurianna coldly. Kiana glanced at her nervously.
"Like I said, a special skill. A life-or-death skill," Aurianna shrugged with a cheeky smile.
"Hm. Alright then. I guess I’ll see that skill for myself when we are in the Ruin," Alfred stated calmly, though internally his curiosity burned fiercely.
"Alright, if you survive long enough inside to see it," Aurianna chuckled.
"Aurianna, don’t say that! Sir, she didn’t an it!" Kiana blurted out frantically.
"Master, I’m back!" Hadina bead suddenly, appearing with four more people.
"Oh Aurianna, you’re totes an, you didn’t even try to call !" Avriel pouted before hugging Aurianna from behind. She, Jugi, and Jade were all wearing masks.
"If I should guess, we would be helping you with the Ruin, right?" Jugi asked.
"Probably, if I can’t fight anymore. It’s better you guys are here. Ever since I left the school soone has been watching . I don’t know who, but they’re making my entire senses scream," Aurianna said with a deep frown.
"Master, I will kill anyone who would dare harm you!" Hadina declared passionately.
"Master!!! Did you miss Yui!!" Yui cried, rushing forward to hug Aurianna, but Aurianna sidestepped. Yui went down with a loud thud.
"Master, how could you be so an! I’m wearing armor! I could’ve hurt myself, you know," Yui pouted, sitting on the ground.
"Sothing like that won’t hurt you, so stop being so annoying the mont you et ," Aurianna scoffed.
"Ahh master! You can step on if you’re angry!!" Yui said happily, hands clasped eagerly.
"Sotis I really hate your mind," Aurianna sighed, shaking her head.
"Aurianna... who are these people?" Luera asked nervously. Their auras alone made her feel small, stronger than her, Alfred, and Draek combined.
"Servants," Aurianna stated calmly.
"Who the hell are you calling your servant, you brat?!" Jade scolded, pulling her cheeks hard.
"If you want our help, you need to be more polite!" he added sharply.
"Tch. They are my subordinates," Aurianna corrected calmly.
"Hmm... Aurianna, where is the spider guy?" Elena asked. "I think his na was Huston."
"Oh, he’s busy with sothing else," Jugi replied.
"Alright. Could you please introduce yourselves then?" Elena asked.
"Not interested. We simply ca to help our lady. Apart from that, we aren’t obliged to talk to you," Jade stated coldly, looking straight at her through his mask. Elena shrank back with a squeak.
"And must we travel with them? I can easily teleport us straight to the Desire since I ca around there recently," Jugi sighed.
"Don’t ruin my experience for . If I’m always teleporting, how will I see the places around ?" Aurianna huffed.
"Alright then..."
"Yui, why are you dressed like that?" Aurianna asked, noticing Yui’s armor, an outdated knight armor from Sandeph.
"Well I’m currently an adventurer and I need armor!" Yui announced proudly.
"I see. Later I’ll get you a new one. That one is an eyesore," Aurianna said coldly.
"Alright master!! And thank you!" Yui said happily.
"Master, what about ? As your wife I deserve a gift too!!" Hadina cried loudly.
’Hah, does Hadina even listen when I tell her I’m her master not her wife? Well whatever, I give up...,’ Aurianna thought with a fed-up look.
"Wait, Aurianna, you’re married?" Andre gasped.
"I’m not married!! She’s under the assumption we are," Aurianna grumbled.
"Because we are! Making a contract is the sa as marriage," Hadina stated with sparkly eyes.
"She’s very delusional. It’s a master–servant contract," Aurianna corrected calmly.
"Dammit Hadina, I’m trying to look cool yet you’re ruining everything," Aurianna thought, veins popping on her neck and face
