"Mom! Dad!"
Eric’s eyes flew open as his back arched off the bed, and sweat stread down his face. His body shook uncontrollably, gripped by a strange, searing pain that made it feel as though every bone inside him had shattered.
[Nano Regeneration has been completed.]
[All irregularities has been resolved.]
"Huh, what happened..."
As his mind slowly cleared, the mories ca rushing back, the chaos, the fear, the mont he nearly lost his life against the robbers he fought off at the docks.
"Fuck... I’m never doing that ever again. But still.... My mory is fuzzy, I don’t exactly rember how I got ho, well I guess it doesn’t mat-"
"Eric." A soft knock at the door pulled his attention toward the entrance, snapping him out of his thoughts. "I know you’re awake, open the door."
"Shit! It’s aunt Thelia!" He sprang out of bed, quickly straightened the sheets, gathered the damp tissues littered around the bed, and flushed them down the toilet before hurrying to open the door.
"Morning Aunt Thelia, how was your sleep?" As he opened the door, he forced a smile, though his lips twitched from the numbness caused by the D.E.L.T.A’s tooth regeneration.
And there she was, the personification of beauty herself.
His Aunt, Thelia.
She stood at the door wearing a tight apron that hugged her body closely. Her large breasts pressed against the fabric, her waist slim, and her thick thighs stood firm beneath her.
"We need to talk about last night." She frowned, crossing her arms beneath her chest, making her large breasts lift slightly as she fixated her sight him with a sharp glare, clearly upset and displeased.
"What about last night?" He chuckled nervously, having absolutely no knowledge about what happened.
"I’ve told you so many tis Eric, no drinking till you’re 19! And asides that, no late night drinking! You ca back looking like a ss!"
"Huh? Drinking?"
[Anesthetics were registered to you during the Nano regeneration process, however so side effects like nauseousness and slight drunkness was an unexpected outco.]
"Oh, I’m sorry Aunt Thelia, I didn’t an to scare you like that."
"You are smarter than this." She sighed and placed a hand on her forehead, clearly frustrated. "I get that you miss your father and mother, too, but that doesn’t an that there aren’t others who cares about you. If you ever need anyone, I’m always here for you."
"Thanks Aunt Thelia."
"Co on, go get ready, you’re going to be late for school." She spoke with a radiant smile that could light up the heavens, then quietly closed the door behind her.
"That was close, definitely not doing that ever again."
As she left, he raised his watch towards his face. His smartwatch, which was once the basis of his academic life in Edenford, has now reconfigured into a futuristic like watch that granted him the power to create tech.
It was crazy, but if the previous night proved anything, it was definitely real.
..
As Eric arrived at school, the front yard was even more crowded and noisier than usual. Groups of students huddled together, eyes glued to their screens, laughing and chatting with infectious excitent.
"Hm?" Eric looked around confused. Edenford has never been this lively, at least not like this.
Then his eyes turned to the flat screen TV that hung on the wall of the hallways of the academy.

"BREAKING NEWS: Robbery foiled by a hooded Masked Man?"
"Late last night, an attempted robbery took place at the West Avenue Docks. According to police reports, a group of ard n broke into a restricted shipping yard, targeting a valuable cargo tech only to be stopped by a hooded man with a black mask."
His eyes widened. The news about yesterday’s operation was already out, how? There were no eyewitnesses, no police at the scene. Or... did it all happen while he wasn’t himself?
Then he saw it, the logo imprinted on the walls of the warehouse.
"Oh, that’s why." It was obvious, all of a sudden, the dia was interested in the affairs of the lower faction?
"That warehouse belonged to one of Nova City’s top industries, Coral Industries. They have a warehouse in the lower faction?" It was then it hit him, why was there a warehouse in the lower faction that belonged to Coral Industries? And why did it’s contents have sothing like plasma rifles?
The reporter on the news cleared his throat as an image of the masked man popped up. The picture showed the hooded man in mid-air, arms stretched out as a wave of energy shot from his hands. It collided with a bright proton blast, the impact lighting up the scene in a flash of power.
"The entire scene was captured by a police drone monts before it was destroyed in an explosion. Law enforcent authorities denies having any ties to this mysterious man which leaves the question, who is this masked man? And is he a friend of foe?"
"Dude! This picture is so sick!" The students were all baffled by the appearance of the masked vigilante.
"He dodged that proton blast at point blank range with nothing but his athletism in mid air!"
"That’s so cool, but I doubt that he got out of it unscathed, I an the end results of that led to the drones destruction. I hope he’s alright."
Eric sighed, tightening his grip on his school bag before turning to leave. "Those bastards..." They didn’t care where it happened, they only cared that it did.
As Eric walked through the hallways, a group of four boys, and a single girl stepped in front of him, blocking his path.
It was Naomi and her fanboys.
"Where do you think you’re going?" She said with a smirk. It was a daily routine for them, playing with Eric before classes began, or just before school ended.
And Eric always played along with them. Each defiance he made was a new opportunity to glance at the spoiled brat’s new set of panties.
But today, it was different.
Eric sighed, then walked past them, leaving them imdiately confused. "I’m not in the mood today." He put bluntly.
He wasn’t having it, not today at least. First the teor, then a fucking sentinel bonding with him the very next second, up until the death of that woman. It was too much bullshit in one day.
And now to top it off, there was sothing definitely going down in the lower faction. Amongst everything, that was what he thought hard on the most. How did those criminals, who obviously were from the lower faction, get their hands on state of the art weaponry?
And why was Coral’s Industries warehouse in the lower faction? And why was it filled with advanced weaponry and a core that could level the whole city?
"Huh!?"
None of the boys were as shocked as Naomi, his attitude changed so suddenly, from the poor helpless kid of the lower faction she could easily wrap around her fingers, to this?
"Hey!" One of the boys reached out and grabbed Eric by his shoulder. "Who the hell do you think you’re giving attitude to!? You fucking street rat!"
"I said." Eric’s deanor changed instantly, and he turned his neck to face the boy that grabbed him. " I am not in the mood."
His eyes flashed a faint blue for just a mont, cold and sharp like winter steel. The boy gripping his shoulder froze, then quickly let go, shaken by the dangerous gaze Eric shot at him.
"Hey Carlos." They called out to him as they saw him withdraw his shaking hand. Eric walked away, leaving all of them stunned.
"Tch, that bastard." Naomi squeezed her fingers, upset by his complete defiance. "I’ll make you pay for your defiance you filthy dog."
